That's all for today, goodbye!
United are now unbeaten in their last four in all competitions, and they move up to sixth in the table. They have Young Boys up next in the Champions League. Palace have now lost their last three in the Premier League, dropping to 12th. They face a struggling Everton side next weekend.
Rangnick gets off to a winning start at United with a 1-0 win over Palace. United dominated the first half, with Guaita making good saves to deny Fernandes and Ronaldo. After the break, Telles hit the crossbar with a free-kick before Ayew fizzed a low shot just wide from close range. Fred scored the winning goal after he was played in by Greenwood, curling a first-time shot over Guaita and into the top corner from the edge of the D.
90' + 5' FULL-TIME: MANCHESTER UNITED 1-0 CRYSTAL PALACE.
90' + 3' Olise weaves away from Dalot and loops a dangerous cross into the six-yard box. Edouard is waiting at the far post and De Gea takes no chance by tipping it onto the roof of the net.
V. Lindelöf
Yellow Card
Manchester United
90' + 1' Zaha is away down the left and Lindelof is sprinting across to him. He clatters into him with a late tackle and has his name taken by the referee.
90' Fred has scored twice in 12 Premier League matches this season, as many as he scored in 76 appearances in his first three seasons in the competition with United beforehand.
88' United have a free-kick on the right and Telles is standing over it. He whips a deep cross into the box and Guaita gets just enough on it to stop Maguire from getting on the end of it.
D. van de Beek
Bruno Fernandes
Manchester United
86' Final change for United now as Fernandes is taken off and replaced by Van de Beek.
E. Eze
C. Kouyaté
Crystal Palace
84' And Eze is also being brought on, with Kouyate making way for him.
M. Olise
J. Ayew
Crystal Palace
84' There's a double change for Palace now as they look to try and get something out of this game. Ayew is first to go off, with Olise on for him.
83' There was a clash of heads as both Maguire and Edouard tried to get on the end of a corner. The United captain has got a cut on his head, but he'll be able to carry on after he's been patched up.
S. McTominay
Yellow Card
Manchester United
81' It's a clumsy one from McTominay as he clatters into the back of Edouard, and he's shown a yellow card.
79' Zaha is furious that he hasn't won a free-kick, but United are on the attack again. McTominay switches it out to Fernandes down the left, but his low cross to Elanga is cut out by Clyne.
M. Greenwood
Assist
Manchester United
77' Greenwood couldn't sort his feet out quick enough to have a shot when Dalot picked him out, but he did well to set up Fred instead.
Fred
Goal
Manchester United
77' FRED SCORES! It's a great goal from the Brazilian! The Palace defenders are crowding around Greenwood, but he keeps his composure to pull it back to Fred just outside the D. He hits the shot first time, curling it around the defender, over Guaita and into the far top corner. 1-0 United!
A. Elanga
M. Rashford
Manchester United
76' Second change for United now, and it's Rashford that's making way for the 19-year-old, Elanga.
75' WHAT A CHANCE! De Gea is scrambling to deal with the corner as Tomkins heads it back across goal to Ayew. He fizzes a wonderful low ball across the face of goal that has the keeper beaten, but Kouyate can't get the all-important touch to take it over the line.
74' Ayew links up well with Schlupp, using the one-two to pull away from McTominay down the right. He squares it into Edouard, but Maguire makes an important block to send it out for a corner.
72' Tomkins goes long to pick out Edouard through the middle for Palace, but he overhits the pass straight to Dalot. United are happy to deal with the long ball over the top.
70' Greenwood does brilliantly to keep the ball in play and get himself out of a tight spot before Fernandes switches it out to the left. Ronaldo tries to cut inside, but Clyne blocks his run.
68' OFF THE BAR! Telles steps up to take the free-kick on the right, and he goes for goal despite the tight angle. He whips it over the wall and Guaita is scrambling, but it bounces off the top of the crossbar.
M. Guéhi
Yellow Card
Crystal Palace
67' Rashford knocks the ball past Guehi and the defender drags him back to stop him from getting into the box. He gives away a free-kick and is shown a yellow card.
O. Édouard
C. Benteke
Crystal Palace
66' First change for Palace now, with Benteke making way for Edouard.
66' Both sides are struggling to keep hold of the ball in midfield again, and Fernandes benefits this time from Kouyate's poor touch. He picks out Rashford with a long ball over the top, but he can't pick out a cross.
64' Mitchell swings another corner into the box which flicks off Ronaldo and Fred before falling to Gallagher. He's quickly being closed down, so he takes the shot from long range, but it flies high over the bar.
M. Greenwood
J. Sancho
Manchester United
62' United are making the first change of the game. Sancho is going off, with Greenwood on to replace him.
60' Fernandes takes another short corner to Sancho, who tries to curl his cross into the far post. Ronaldo has pulled off the back of Guehi, but it's too high for everyone as it sails harmlessly out of play.
58' Fernandes curls a free-kick into the box which is cleared by Tomkins, but United keep hold of it. Maguire goes long to Sancho, who cushions it down for Rashford, but he can't dribble his past Gallagher.
56' Gallagher whips the free-kick into the box and it's over everyone to Kouyate at the far post. He thumps a header back towards goal and it hits Telles to take it out for a corner.
54' Telles' clearance is cut out by Kouyate and his header plays in Zaha on the edge of the box. Three United defenders crowd around him to stop him from getting into the box, but then Fred fouls Ayew just outside the area.
52' There are still a lot of loose passes from both sides as Rashford's touch goes straight to Schlupp before Ronaldo wins it back. He lifts it over the top looking for Sancho, but Tomkins is there for Palace.
50' Lindelof carries the ball into the final third from deep in his own half, riding the challenges from Mitchell before he touches it out to Fernandes. He curls a good cross into the box, but Guaita punches it away just in front of Ronaldo.
48' Telles is caught on the ball high upfield and Ayew has space to break into down the right. Instead, he tries to float an early cross into Benteke through the middle, but it's intercepted by Lindelof.
46' Palace get us back underway for the second half!
Rangnick will be pleased so far, with United on the front foot for the majority of the first half. Given some of the chances they had, they should arguably be ahead and need to be more clinical. Palace took a while to get going, but if they can start the second half as they finished the first, they could cause some real problems.
It's goalless at the break between United and Palace. The visitors started brightly, with De Gea making two comfortable saves to keep them out. United dominated after that, creating some great chances, with Guaita making good saves to deny Ronaldo and Fernandes. Ronaldo also saw an effort blocked at the near post and Dalot curled an effort just over the bar before the break.
45' + 2' HALF-TIME: MANCHESTER UNITED 0-0 CRYSTAL PALACE.
45' + 1' CHANCE! How Dalot keeps hold of the ball after being tackled by Zaha and Mitchell is anyone's guess, but he gets away to play a one-two with McTominay. The right-back curls a shot towards the far top corner with his first touch, but it's just over.
45' United just about manage to switch it out to Telles on the left and he curls a good cross into the box. Sancho peels away at the far post, but he's too deep and Guehi heads it away.
43' It's United that are struggling to keep hold of the ball now and Palace are trying to punish them for it. Zaha swings an early cross to the edge of the box, but Fred brings it down in front of Benteke.
41' Gallagher swings in a free-kick from the right and Maguire gets to it just ahead of Benteke in the middle. Ayew tries to pick up the second ball, but Fernandes hooks it out of the box.
39' It's brilliant from Zaha as he knocks it first through Telles' legs before doing the same to Fred. He pulls it back for Ayew who curls a shot towards the near post, but it's always heading wide.
37' Palace are starting to find their rhythm now and they work it well through the middle. Kouyate slides it through towards Ayew, but Maguire stands his ground long enough to clear the danger.
35' Gallagher does well to skip away from Ronaldo and Fernandes to slide in Zaha down the right. He has space to run into but tries to tee up Benteke instead, and Lindelof cuts it out.
33' Sancho has switched out to the left and he's picked out by Maguire's long ball. He cuts inside before hitting a shot which deflects off Clyne. Guaita is scrambling back to his line, but it lands on the roof of the net.
N. Clyne
Yellow Card
Crystal Palace
31' Clyne is stretching to keep hold of the ball after a loose touch. He ends up catching Fred with his studs in an attempt to keep hold of it and receives the first booking of the game.
30' Palace are being penned back deep in their own half, but a loose pass from Fred gives them a chance to break. Zaha intercepts it and wins a free-kick when he's fouled by McTominay.
28' Rashford pulls away from Clyne down the left again and pulls it back for Fernandes in the middle. He slices at it, but it falls kindly for Ronaldo, who can't poke it past Gallagher towards goal.
26' GOOD SAVE! It's another long ball over the top, this time from Maguire, that catches Palace out. Ronaldo cushions it down for Fernandes, who hits the half-volley into the ground, but Guaita still has to stretch to tip it away from the bottom corner.
24' BLOCK! Dalot fizzes a dangerous low cross into the box and Ronaldo is inches away from nodding it in. Sancho picks it up on the opposite flank, pulling it back for Fred, and his curling shot is blocked by Tomkins.
22' SAVE! Palace lose the ball again and Lindelof plays a wonderful long ball over the top to Rashford. He lays it off to Ronaldo on the left of the box, but his low shot is straight at Guaita.
20' Ayew gets away from Sancho and Telles with some clever footwork before sliding in Schlupp ahead of him. He can't break forward though as a heavy touch knocks it straight out of play.
18' Lindelof stops Palace from breaking and switches it out to Fernandes on the left. He plays a brilliant ball over the top which Ronaldo brings down on his chest before firing a shot at the near post, but it's blocked by Guehi.
16' It's a loose pass from McTominay and Ayew slides in to win it back. He slides in Benteke, but he hits it against Lindelof with his first touch and the chance goes to waste for Palace.
14' United are knocking the ball around comfortably high upfield and Fernandes has space down the right. He tries to float a cross into Ronaldo at the far post, but Guaita comes out to collect it ahead of him.
12' Rashford gets sandwiched between Ayew and Schlupp as he tries to break into the box and United have a free-kick in a good position. Ronaldo strikes it, lifting it high over the wall, but there's not enough dip on it and it sails over the bar.
10' Ronaldo whips a cross in from the right and Fernandes throws himself at it, but it sails just over his head. At the other end, Benteke cushions it down for Zaha, but his low shot is straight at De Gea.
8' Palace break quickly on the counter, and it's switched out to Zaha, who has acres of space with Dalot out of position. He cuts inside before sliding in Benteke in the box. His shot is tame and De Gea holds onto it.
6' United's high press pays off as McTominay races onto the end of Mitchell's loose pass and he slides in Ronaldo down the right. The Palace defenders rush out to him though and he can't get the ball into the box.
4' It's a great run from Rashford down the left as he weaves away from Clyne and he tries to square it into Ronaldo. He's set himself for the shot and Gallagher slides in with a perfectly timed tackle to stop him from taking it.
2' Kouyate pokes the ball past Fred just before the Brazilian slides in to try to win it back, and he sets Benteke off through the middle. He chooses to pull it back for Zaha instead of going for goal, and McTominay intercepts.
1' Fernandes gets the game underway for United!
The teams are out on the pitch now, with kick-off just moments away!
United failed to win either of their Premier League meetings with Palace last season (D1 L1). They've not gone three without a win against the Eagles since a run of four between 1925 and 1970.
Patrick Vieira makes just two changes from the last-gasp defeat to Leeds United last time out, bringing in Clyne and Benteke. Edouard drops to the bench, while Joel Ward misses out through suspension.
Rangnick names an unchanged side to the one that beat Arsenal on Thursday, with Ronaldo leading the line once again after he scored his 800th and 801st career goals in that win. The Red Devils are unbeaten in their last three (W2 D1), and a 3-2 win over Arsenal on Thursday saw them win their first home game in the Premier League since early September. As for Palace, they've lost back-to-back games in the competition against Aston Villa and Leeds United after a seven-match unbeaten run in the league (W2 D5).
