Anthony Martial scored from 12 yards to set up a tense finish at the Etihad Stadium. However, City were able to score the decisive third goal as Ilkay Gundogan converted from close range following a sublime team move to kill off the contest.

Goal
86' GOALLLLLLLLLLL!!! GUNDOGAN SCORES!! 3-1!!! Surely City have secured the victory now as Gundogan slots the ball past De Gea. Bernardo Silva was afforded space and time on the edge of the box and he lifted a precise delivery into the feet of Gundogan. The City midfielder couldn't miss as he had acres of room to control and bury his effort into the net.
85' City are trying to counteract the pressure from United with a spell of possession, taking the pace out of the game.
83' It's United's turn to put City under pressure. There are a lot of red shirts in advanced positions.

79' Martial is just the fifth Frenchman to score in five consecutive Premier League appearances, after Thierry Henry (x3), Eric Cantona, Nicolas Anelka and Olivier Giroud.
78' City pile the pressure on United in the final third with a slick attacking move. Sterling and Sane both look to fire at goal in the box, but a wall of red shirts prevents them from firing at goal.
77' A mistake by Stones with his offload puts Ederson under pressure, but the keeper just manages to clear before the ball goes out for a corner.

Mata
Ander Herrera

70' Fernandinho tries to thread the needle with an incisive throughball for Sterling. Lindelof has to make the interception and does to the relief of his team-mates.
68' A long ball over the top from Ederson puts Young on the back foot againt the pace of Sane. He has to resort to pulling back the German, resulting in a free-kick for City near the corner flag.
67' SAVE! Space opens up for Fernandinho from 25 yards to line up a strike at goal. He connects with a low drive, but De Gea watches the ball all the way into his hands.
66' City have brought the tempo of the game under their control in response to United's goal. They will be desperate to restore their two-goal cushion.

A. Martial
Penalty Goal
58' GOALLLLLLLLL!!!! MARTIAL CONVERTS! 2-1!! The Frenchman takes the responsibility from 12 yards due to Pogba's absence. There's no staggered run-up from Martial as he strides forward before sidefooting his effort into the bottom corner, sending Ederson the wrong way. The Brazilian boots the ball out of his net in frustration. He knows that he has let United back into the game.
57' PENALTY TO MANCHESTER UNITED! Lukaku has an immediate impact as he wins a penalty for the visitors. Ederson brings him down in the left inside channel and the referee does not hesitate in pointing to the spot.

J. Lingard
57' Lukaku replaces the underwhelming Lingard for the visitors.

54' Bernardo Silva runs through the United midfield before releasing Sterling into the final third. The winger goes for the strike, only to see his effort blocked by Smalling.
52' Aguero has scored eight Premier League goals against Manchester United; only against Newcastle (14) and Spurs (10) has he bagged more.

S. Agüero

48' GOALLLLLLLLLLLL!!!! AGUERO STRIKES!!! 2-0!! City double their lead out of nothing. Aguero leads a break out of midfield and combines with Mahrez to surge into the right inside channel. The Argentine hammers an effort at goal from a tight angle. Aguero connects sweetly with his strike and it flies through De Gea's hands into the back of the net. City have control of the game now.
46' Manchester United have failed to record a shot on target in the first half of a Premier League game for the eighth time under Mourinho, and the third time this season.
46' We're back underway at the Etihad Stadium.
United were rocked by City's fast start to the game and were fortunate to only concede one goal in the opening 15 minutes. Once the tempo slowed they were able to get a foothold in the match to keep the home side at bay. At the other end of the pitch, Jose Mourinho's side failed to test Ederson. Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard have to do more to get their side going in the final third in the second half.
Manchester City hold a 1-0 lead over Manchester United at the Etihad Stadium courtesy of David Silva's strike in the 10th minute. Pep Guardiola will be content with his side's performance, although they've been far from their best. City enjoyed a fast start to the contest and took a deserved lead when David Silva converted from close range. However, they were unable to build on their advantage, which has kept United in the game.

40' David Silva manages to weave his way past Herrera, but the second challenge from Fellaini stops his progress on the byline. City still win a corner on the left flank.

Bernardo Silva
Yellow Card
33' Bernardo Silva brings down Rashford and goes into the book.
31' Ambition gets the better of Laporte as he goes for goal from 30 yards, but he can only hammer his effort straight over the bar. Not the best strike from the City defender.
30' Aguero works the ball into the left channel for David Silva, but the Spaniard sees his low cross blocked by Smalling at the near post.
28' The early vigour from City's play has subsided for now. United will not mind playing the game at this pace as they look for an equaliser.
26' United continue their attack with Stones on the deck. Young floats a cross into the box for Smalling to attack, but he can only guide his effort harmlessly over the bar.
25' BLOCK! Martial latches on to a loose ball on the edge of the City box and shapes to shoot. Stones throws his body in the way of the strike and makes the block, which causes him pain.
24' Herrera loses possession for the second time in a dangerous area. Aguero steals the ball and advances towards the edge of the box. The Argentine does not have support and has to go alone. He gets crowded out by four United defenders before he can pull the trigger on a strike.
23' City's tempo with the ball drops just a fraction and it's easier for United to contend with at the back as they asborb a spell of pressure before clearing their lines.
21' The Spaniard appears to be ok to continue, which will be a relief for Mourinho on the bench.
20' There's a stoppage in play as Herrera takes a knock to the head and receives treatment.
18' Martial has a run at Walker on the left flank, but he cannot find the room to break past the City full-back. United need a spark from one of their creative players to stem the tide.
16' Sterling wins possession from Herrera and surges towards the United box. He tries to cut back to fire an effort on his right foot, but the visitors have enough men back behind the ball to crowd out the England man before he can shoot.
14' David Silva has scored in three consecutive home games in all competitions for Manchester City for the first time.
13' City are almost in again as Mahrez releases the run of Bernardo Silva into the right inside channel. However, the Portuguese cannot sort his feet out in time and fails to get a clean strike away.
Bernardo Silva
Assist

David Silva
Goal
12' GOALLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!! DAVID SILVA PUTS CITY AHEAD!!! 1-0!!! The pressure tells on the United defence and David Silva fires the home side into the lead. Sterling was the architect of the goal as he whipped a dangerous ball across the face of goal from the left flank. Bernardo Silva collected and squared his pass into the six-yard box. Aguero looked to have been fouled before David Silva was able to gather the loose ball and place his effort past De Gea.
10' It's all one-way traffic at the moment, the visitors have barely had a kick in the City half of the field.
9' Aguero knocks Herrera to the ground as he connects with a header from Mahrez's corner. The referee spots the infringement, which eases the pressure on the United defence.
8' Fellaini rises to clear David Silva's free-kick into the box. However, the home side maintain their spell of pressure as Mahrez wins a corner off the legs of Shaw.
7' United defend the corner, but Lingard concedes a free-kick from the clearance. City will have another opportunity to send a cross into the box.
6' David Silva arcs a pass over the top of Young for the run of Sterling. The United defender does just enough to quell the threat, sending the ball behind for a corner.
4' City open up United down the left flank as Fernandino slides a pass into the feet of David Silva in the left inside channel. The Spaniard cuts the ball back for Aguero in the middle, but he fails to connect with his strike. Fernandinho has a drive at goal from distance, sending his attempt harmlessly wide of the post.
2' WIDE! Fernandino releases the run of Bernardo Silva into the final third with a crisp offload and the Portuguese takes the ball in stride. He reaches the edge of the box before striking at goal, firing his effort narrowly wide of the post.
1' We're underway at the Etihad Stadium.
There will be a minute of silence for Remembrance Sunday before kick-off.
Manchester City have won just two of their last eight matches against Manchester United in all competitions (drawn two, lost four) since winning four in a row between 2013 and 2014.
United are without Paul Pogba this afternoon due to injury. He suffered a knock against Juventus and has been unable to recover in time to feature. Fellaini takes his place in the heart of the midfield. Rashford is given the nod to spearhead the attack over Sanchez, who drops out of the side. Lukaku is available on the bench for Mourinho after recovering from his injury woes.
City have made two changes from their win over Shakhtar during the week. Aguero comes back into the fold to lead the line supported by Mahrez and Sterling, while Mendy replaces Zinchenko at full-back.
SUBS: Phil Jones, Alexis Sanchez, Juan Mata, Romelu Lukaku, Fred, Sergio Romero, Matteo Darmian.
MANCHESTER UNITED (4-3-3): David de Gea; Ashley Young, Chris Smalling, Victor Lindelof, Luke Shaw; Ander Herrera, Nemanja Matic, Marouane Fellaini; Jesse Lingard, Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial.

Jose Mourinho's old swagger was out again in force after Manchester United overturned a deficit to defeat Juventus in Turin during the week. Five weeks ago the pressure was on the Portuguese. However, since the Red Devils launched a second-half comeback to beat Newcastle United at Old Trafford, they've lost only out of their last six games, including a run of three wins on the bounce. United are still well off the pace in the Premier League, but a victory this afternoon would change the perspective of their start to the campaign.
It's the first Manchester derby of the season where the two clubs will be determined to make a statement - not only in the region, but the Premier League. City have enjoyed an imperious start to the campaign, dropping only four points from their opening 11 matches. Pep Guardiola's men are unbeaten in 11 games in all competitions, with their only defeat this term coming at the hands of Lyon in the Champions League. They've scored 12 goals in their last two matches in hammerings of Southampton and Shakhtar Donetsk and will be looking to put their rivals to the sword this afternoon.
Good afternoon and welcome to the live commentary of the Premier League clash between Manchester City and Manchester United at the Etihad Stadium.
