We're into the final five minutes, with Liverpool happy to take the sting out of the fixture with some slow possession. Monk's substitutes just haven't been able to have a positive effect in the final third.
Sigurdsson tries to slide a cross into the box from the left-hand side, but the ex-Spurs midfielder loses his footing and passes a sliced delivery straight behind for a goal kick. Swansea are holding onto possession and looking to make something happen in the final 10 minutes, but Liverpool are sticking as a unit.
Williams can only send a back-post header over the crossbar, following a poor half-volley attempt from Cork! Swansea are looking to try and tie this contest up in the dying minutes, but the visitors are struggling. There's a small break in play, as Bartley goes down with a knee problem.
The resulting corner is claimed by Mignolet, with Liverpool looking likely to see this tie out. A back-post cross from Naughton looks to test Clyne, but the ex-Palace right-back nods a clearance behind for a corner. The resulting set piece is swung in towards Gomis, but Skrtel clears!
Ayew has only been able to contribute defensively this evening, which has been testament to how Liverpool are pressing forward and looked to cause some problems. Gomis cuts a cross towards the edge of the penalty area, with Montero picking up the scraps, but the former Betis winger can only win a corner from Clyne.
Only a quarter of an hour remains at Anfield, with Milner going close! The ex-Man City midfielder sees a low drive zip wide of the back post, with Fabianski stretching. The Reds could do with an extra goal to secure the three points.
Swansea have a lot to do if they are to turn this game around, with Liverpool pressing in impressive fashion. Ibe continues to cause plenty of problems down the right-hand side, with the Englishman able to get a lot of joy from Taylor this evening.

GOOOOOOOAL! MILNER MAKES IT 1-0! The Liverpool captain holds his nerve to slot a neat finish into the top-left corner! No mistake from the former Leeds midfielder, with the hosts getting the breakthrough they deserve.
PENALTY TO LIVERPOOL! Clyne whips a cross in from the right flank, but Taylor makes a block! The referee points to the spot, however! The Welshman had his arm outstretched, with the official choosing to give a spot-kick!
Only half an hour remains at Anfield, with the home fans starting to get a little bit restless. As it stands, a point would be an excellent result for a Swans' side who are struggling of late. Monk still has some interesting options on his bench, with Gomis and Montero biding their time.
Benteke is the target for a long ball forward, but Bartley ensures that the Belgian forward is unable to flick on anything dangerous. Henderson is warming up for the home side, with Klopp perhaps thinking of freshening things up on the field before long. This contest definitely needs some kind of catalyst.
The hosts are seeing all of the ball, with Swansea sat extremely deep at the moment. Eder is five yards inside his own half at all times, with Monk's men inviting on plenty of pressure. Britton charges down a shot from Benteke on the periphery of the penalty area.
There is a slight break in play, due to Eder falling awkwardly inside his own penalty area. The Portuguese forward appears to have a sore back, with Marvin Emnes sent out to warm up on the touchline. Liverpool spread play out to the right-hand side, but Clyne is tackled well by Ayew.
Close from Ibe! The wide man cuts in from the left-hand side, before a low drive towards the near post forces a save out of Fabianski! The resulting corner is lofted in towards Skrtel, but cleared, before a second delivery into the box is headed over the bar by Lovren!
Over from Ki! The ball falls kindly to the South Korea international on the edge of the penalty area, but the ex-Celtic midfielder can't keep his shot down! That's the first half chance since the restart, but Mignolet still hasn't been tested this evening.
Liverpool have started the second half in similar fashion to how they began the first, with possession. Ki and Taylor attempt to combine down the left-hand side, but Milner covers across brilliantly to rob the Wales international of the ball.
We are back underway in the second half at Anfield! Klopp's men will be looking to take advantage of West Ham dropping points earlier in the day, with the Reds probably wondering how they aren't ahead following a bright opening half an hour on Merseyside.
HALF TIME! The two sides go into the break without a goal between them, despite Liverpool having a number of half chances on the edge of the box. Fabianski has been much the busier of the two outfits, but Swansea have threatened sporadically on the counter.
Bartley gives away a corner on the right-hand side, with the ex-Rangers defender conceding a lot of dead-ball opportunites for the visitors. The resulting delivery is claimed easily by Fabianski, who is unchallenged when catching the ball. There is one minute of stoppage time.
Moreno lines up a free-kick delivery from the right flank, but the ex-Sevilla left-back can only curl the ball into the stands. Klopp would really have hoped for the Reds to make the most of a big opportunity such as that. Liverpool need to make their first-half pressure count with a goal before the break.
We're into the final five minutes of the first half, with yet another looping cross into the box from Ibe failing to find a red shirt. Liverpool then win themselves a corner on the edge of the penalty area, with Benteke getting caught obviously late by Bartley. That could be costly from the English defender.
Swansea manage to fill the box with white shirts for a corner, but Mignolet remains untested yet again. The former Sunderland goalkeeper hasn't had to deal with anything yet tonight. Liverpool have been a little bit quiet offensively during the last 10 minutes, with Swansea dragging the main battle into the midfield third.
Lovren lashes a clearance away, with Routledge attempting to make inroads down the right-hand side for the visitors. Moments later, there is a break in play, as Bartley and Benteke collide heavily! The ex-Arsenal defender looked to land quite awkwardly, meaning that the physios are immediately ushered onto the field.
Only 10 minutes are left in the first half, with Swansea desperately trying to impose themselves on the action. Sigurdsson manages to rob possession off Firmino in a dangerous area, but the Iceland international isn't able to create anything dangerous from having possession around 30 yards from goal.
Skrtel rises well to head a Taylor cross away, before Liverpool break upfield. Benteke is the target of a through ball that looks to get behind Naughton, but the ex-Sheffield United defender makes an interception. Yet again, the Reds' final cutting edge just isn't quite present in this first-half action.
The hosts are pressing well at the moment, with Monk's men struggling to create anything whatsoever at the moment. Swansea have only managed to keep possession very sporadically, with the Welsh club struggling to get any kind of foothold in the action.
Liverpool are desperately pushing forward, but Swansea have managed to look dangerous with a couple of quick counters. The final ball isn't quite coming, in what has been a rushed opening half an hour at Anfield, with Benteke and Firmino not getting the service required to truly test Fabianski.
Eder and Naughton combine on the edge of the box, before Routledge is fed to the byline! The Englishman tries to cut back a telling cross, but Skrtel is on hand to make a clearance at the near post. Lovren clears the set-piece delivery behind for a second corner in succession, which also comes to nothing.
J. Milner
Yellow Card
Liverpool
Ayew tries to break down the left flank at pace, but the ex-Aston Villa midfielder slides in late to get a chunk of the Ghanaian forward! A caution is well deserved.
Swansea are forced to clear their lines in urgent fashion yet again, with a loose touch from Ibe hoofed into touch by Williams! Klopp's side are constantly streaming forward to attack, with the Reds able to win a few corners in quick succession. Swansea are on the back foot and are struggling to weather the storm. Ibe unleashes a shot from just inside the box, but Taylor makes a block!
Ibe bundles his way into the penalty area, with the young Englishman managing to win a corner from Taylor. Benteke uses the break in play to argue with the referee, as he believes that he is being unfairly held by Bartley and Williams while trying to attack deliveries. The resulting set piece comes to nothing.
Eder tries to lead a quick break upfield, but the summer signing is brought down fairly as he attempts to approach the penalty box. Clyne feeds a pass inside to Lallana from the right-hand side, but the ex-Southampton midfielder sees a close-range shot blocked well by Williams!
Klopp is patrolling his technical area, with Monk also cutting a slightly concerned figure on the sideline for the Swans. Liverpool get more joy down the right-hand side, but Ayew tracks back brilliantly to block an attempted cross from Clyne. Somehow, Fabianski still hasn't had much to do.
Swansea will be pleased to still be level after absorbing a flurry of early activity from the Reds! Liverpool are looking likely to continue their excellent recent run of form and are carrying possession with confidence. The visitors are remaining very deep and narrow, ensuring that Benteke and Firmino have a congested area to try and conduct their offensive business in.
Bartley is on hand to lash another important clearance away, with Liverpool creating a few half chances. Firmino is picked out on the periphery of the area, but Williams stands his man up with ease. Moments later, Fabianski is forced to make a save to prevent a deflection off Naughton beating him! The aforementioned Brazilian had attempt to feed Ibe through on goal.
Benteke is picked out in the penalty area by a lovely first-time ball from Can, but Naughton manages to slide in to deny the Belgian forward! The Reds are creating all of the dangerous opportunities at the moment. Klopp will be pleased with his outfit's energetic start.
Liverpool are enjoying all of the ball in the early stages, with Swansea limiting themselves to a few quick forays forward. A point would be an excellent result tonight for an away outfit which currently find themselves in the lurch.
Close for Eder! The Portuguese striker is picked out at the near post by a cross from Routledge, but can only guide what looked to be a deflected attempt wide of the upright! Despite claiming for a corner, the referee points for a goal kick. Up the other end, Benteke tries to beat Williams for pace and strength, but the Wales international stands firm to poke possession into touch!
Liverpool strike the post! Ibe drives infield from the right-hand side, before jinking across Williams with ease! Bartley recovers and slides in to tackle the England defender, but the former Rangers defender can only turn a deflected effort onto his own upright! Close call for the away outfit!
The hosts are enjoying all of the early possession, with Swansea happy to sit back and absorb some pressure. Swansea try to break out down the left-hand side, but Liverpool are pressing as a cohesive red unit at the moment. Ki tries to swing a cross in from the opposite flank moments later, but nobody is present at the back post to worry Clyne.
Naughton is forced to lash a rushed clearance away under pressure from Milner, after some neat build-up play that saw Benteke flick a dangerous pass around the corner! Liverpool are attacking from the off on home soil.
We are underway in the first half at Anfield! The hosts are wearing their customary red, with Swansea in all white.

TEAM NEWS: Ex-Liverpool midfielder Jonjo Shelvey misses out against his former club due to a ban, with Leon Britton partnering Ki in midfield. Eder is preferred to Gomis up front, with Kyle Bartley preferred to Federico Fernandez in the heart of the defence. Jefferson Montero is also a substitute, with Andre Ayew and Wayne Routledge starting in the wide areas.
TEAM NEWS: Lucas Leiva misses out due to suspension for the hosts, with Emre Can and James Milner sitting in midfield. Club captain Jordan Henderson returns to the bench, with Daniel Sturridge fit enough to join him. Mamadou Sakho is injured, meaning that Dejan Lovren continues at centre-back, with Jordan Ibe deployed on the right. Philippe Coutinho isn't fit to play a part, with Roberto Firmino supporting Christian Benteke.
The away outfit have won merely one of their last 10 matches, leading to plenty of pressure starting to pile upon the Swans. Andre Ayew has been unable to inspire his side to some much-needed points, with previously free-scoring striker Bafetimbi Gomis dropping to the bench after a dip in form. Liverpool, meanwhile, have been defeated only once in their last 15 clashes, with the home side targetting yet another positive result this afternoon. The form book doesn't make good reading for Monk and co.
Hello and welcome to one of the Premier League's evening kick offs, as Swansea travel to Anfield to face Jurgen Klopp's resurgent Liverpool side. The hosts have won four of their last five matches, as the ex-Dortmund coach looks to turn their campaign around and steer the Reds towards European football for another season. Garry Monk's visitors, however, are tasked with ending their slide down the table, with the Welsh club hovering merely four points above the relegation zone despite a bright start to the campaign.
