While it would take something very special to improve on last season's top-flight showing, the Reds may at least back themselves to hit triple figures

Having fallen short of the Premier League title despite a record-breaking campaign, Liverpool may need to aim for near perfection if they are to outdo Manchester City this season.

Jurgen Klopp’s men finished a point adrift of top spot despite putting 97 on the board, meaning they could have to hit triple figures to finally be crowned champions this time out.

However, they are priced at a lengthy 14/1 (15.00) with William Hill to become just the second team to win 100 points in a single Premier League season, matching Manchester City’s incredible 2017/18 campaign.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain Liverpool 2018-19

The Reds missed out on the title despite replicating Jose Mourinho’s triumphant debut Chelsea season and losing just a single match, underlining the minimal room for error when competing with Pep Guardiola’s team.

The prospect of improving on that and joining Arsenal’s 2003-04 ‘Invincibles’ as the only Premier League team to go a whole season unbeaten is rated at a lengthy 25/1 (26.0).

While that feat would take some doing, the Reds’ prolific forward line makes the aim of racking up a century of goals seem more achievable.

Indeed, they are available at 6/1 (7.0) to become only the fifth side to scored 100 goals or more, repeating the achievement they pulled off in the Luis Suarez-inspired 2013-14 season.

Sadio Mane Liverpool 2018-19

Top scorer in both of the last two seasons, Mohamed Salah will surely have a big say in deciding whether his side can break the 100 barrier in front of goal.

However, Sadio Mane’s performances last season demonstrated Liverpool are certainly not over-reliant on the Egypt star, sharing the Golden Boot after joining him on 22 goals in the league.

With both players clearly more than capable of achieving individual honours, odds of 3/1 (4.0) could prove tempting on either one finishing top scorer in the league once again.
