Liverpool face Manchester United in their Premier League clash on Sunday at Old Trafford. Bayern are next in action at home against Hertha Berlin on Saturday.
Liverpool and Bayern Munich play out a goalless draw in the first leg of this round-of-16 Champions League clash. The Reds had opportunities to open the scoring in the first half, but lacked a clinical edge in the final third. Sadio Mane had their best openings of the game, only to put two efforts wide of the post, while he saw a close-range header saved by Manuel Neuer. Niko Kovac's men were not overly effective going forward, although they were resolute at the back and limited Liverpool's options in and around the box. The German outfit will be the happier of the two sides going into the second leg in three weeks' time at the Allianz Arena.
