UEFA Conference League Qualifiers
Relegation Play-off

We hope you enoyed the game as much as we did, and we'll see you for the next one! Goodbye for now!
That last-ditch equaliser means neither side moves up or down the table, although Lens are now level on points with fourth-placed Nice, who have a game in hand on them. PSG extend their lead at the top to 13 points, but with performances like the one they faced in this game, it's clear that the rest of Ligue 1 has plenty to throw at the Parisians, and a title win will be anything but easy.
Lens were amazing from back to front in this game, but the man who held the team together, and opened the scoring, was their captain Seko Fofana. The Ivorian finished the game with a goal, three shots, four key passes, and led the way in terms of both passes and touches for PSG. He also won the ball a game-high 12 times, showing how important he was to Lens' main strategy of attack in this game - win the ball at speed, and subsequently throw everything you have directly at the opposition.
Well, what a game of football!!! A pulsating encounter between two teams who in the end shared the spoils, but what a performance from Lens. They're fifth in Ligue 1, and so are a very good team in their own right, but they way they outplayed global superclub PSG for large swathes of that match cannot be understated! The injury-time equaliser showed that PSG can never, ever, be discounted, but had Lens held on for all three points, you'd be hard-pressed to say that they didn't deserve the win.
90' + 4' FULL-TIME: LENS 1-1 PSG.
90' + 4' OVER!!! No he can't! It's struck well, and dips just at the right moment, but it's a fraction too high and flies over the bar!
90' + 4' Messi stands over the free-kick. He's officially the best player in the world, and probably the best free-kick taker too. Can he notch one to win it for PSG?
J. Gradit
Yellow Card
90' + 3' Messi tries a shot from distance, and it's blocked by Gradit, who used his hand! He's booked, and it's more of a surprise that the card isn't red, really.
K. Mbappé
90' + 2' That ball from Mbappe was just super, and it's such a shame for Lens, who really looked like they'd hang on for the three points!
G. Wijnaldum
90' + 2' GOOOOAAAALLLL!!!! PSG EQUALISE!!!! Mbappe crosses from the left, and it's the substitute Wijnaldum who arrives at the front post to head the ball past a rooted-to-the-spot Leca, and make it 1-1!!! The stadium has fallen silent, and it's agony for Lens!
90' + 2' Mbappe tries a shot from distance, but it's beaten away confidently by Leca!
90' + 1' We're into four minutes of injury time, and it's now or never for PSG!
A. Hakimi
Yellow Card
90' Fofana goes down under a challenge from Gueye, but it's Hakimi who's booked, most likely for protesting the referee's decision.
88' PSG attempt to create more inroads into the Lens box. A Messi shot is blocked, before Hakimi attempts to win a corner off Medina, but he is unsuccessful and gives away a goal kick! It's just been one of those nights for Mauricio Pochettino's side.
86' This Lens press just does not stop, does it? Nearly 90 minutes played, and still PSG can't keep the ball, or find any decent options when they do. Whatever Franck Haise is drilling into his players fitness and organisation-wise, it's working.
84' Despite the way in which PSG's midfield has been overrun at times by Lens, ands his own frustrations, Marco Verratti is still holding his nerve, just, as we enter the last few minutes. Two key passes, as completing more passes and touches than any other PSG player anywhere on the pitch, suggests that if PSG are to grab this game by the scruff of the neck in the last five minutes, it'll likely be via their Italian midfield maestro.
82' WIDE!!! Haidara is straight in on the action as he carries the ball forward for the home side. Marquinhos is following him all the way, and so the shot is from a tight angle, but still tests Navas as it just hits the wrong side of the post and nestles in the side netting!
M. Haïdara
A. Kalimuendo-Muinga
80' Muinga has been exceptional leading the line for Lens, and Massadio Haïdara comes on for the last ten
Y. Cahuzac
David Costa
80' Pereira da Costa has also been superb, and he's replaced by Yannick Cahuzac.
Nuno Mendes
Juan Bernat
79' PSG ring more changes, as Bernat comes off for Nuno Mendes.
78' SAVED!!! Lens break again through Fofana, who tees up Pereira da Costa on the left. He waits for the arrival of Frankowski, who fires a low shot that Navas has to save with his midriff!! The Lens wing-back follows in on the shot, but Kimpembe forces a deflection behind! Frantic stuff!
77' Lens fly forward on the break once more, this time through Sotoca, and he feeds Muinga on the edge of the box. He cuts inside to shoot, but Wijnaldum gets back in cover to dispossess the striker right at the last moment and PSG avoid another shot on Navas' goal!
75' Lens' pressure does not waiver as Navas misjudges a pass to Bernat, giving Clauss the run on him. Clauss does well to usher the ball out though, and Lens have a throw in a very dangerous position.
73' Marquinhos and Muinga both go up for a header from a Clauss cross, and it's the Lens striker who rises highest, heading just wide of the left post. However, he did climb up the back of the PSG captain to get to that ball, and so the free-kick goes against him.
71' SAVED!!! An early chance for Mbappe as he stretches to reach a Verratti cross. He gets a slight touch on it with his head, but it's saved from close range by Leca and Lens eventually clear their lines!
K. Mbappé
M. Icardi
70' the third of PSG's changes sees Icardi come off, for Kylian Mbappé.
G. Wijnaldum
L. Paredes
70' Paredes is also withdrawn by Mauricio Pochettino, and on comes Georginio Wijnaldum.
I. Gueye
Danilo Pereira
70' Danilo is off for PSG, and Idrissa Gueye takes his place.
69' POST!!! Lens counter, again, as Fofana sets up Pereira da Costa on the left. He shoots across goal and has Navas beaten, but the ball strikes the post and comes back out again! What a chance for Lens to double their lead!
68' Paris try throughball, after throughball, to try and break this resiliant Lens press, but every time it is intercepted, and the home side's players are up at the other end in the blink of an eye!
66' Verratti's not been the happiest of midfielders in this game, and he's unhappier still as Sotoca catches his face with a trailing arm to give PSG a free-kick.
65' That's Fofana's fifth goal of the season, extending his leading at the top of Lens' scoring tally. He started this game at centre-back, remember!
M. Verratti
Yellow Card
63' PSG really aren't happy with the ref's call to play on, least of all Verratti, who is booked for dissent by the referee after all his protesting over the goal.
C. Doucouré
62' From the original tackle by Medina, to the final ball from Doucouré, that goal showed just what Lens have been about tonight: winning the ball quickly, moving at pace, and having a go at the big boys, and boy, has it worked for them!!!
S. Fofana
62' GOOOOOOAAAAAALLLLLLLLL!!!!!! LENS BREAK THE DEADLOCK!!!!! Messi is dispossessed and stays down, but the home side play on and Fofana unleashes an absolute bolter of a shot, that goes straight through Navas and into the net!!! PSG protest, but the home fans don't care; they're in raptures as Lens lead 1-0!!!!
60' PSG's breakthrough, if it comes, will likely be via the boot of Messi. He's had two shots, both blocked, but has completed a key pass and a good cross. He has lost possession seven times though, which is testament to the effort of this Lens team to keep him away from their goal.
58' Paredes and Fofana tussle for the ball in midfield, and it's the Lens captain who commits the eventual foul, conceding a free-kick against his side on halfway.
56' Frankowski fires a high, dipping cross into the box, that looks mis-hit but drops right under the crossbar, forcing Navas to tip it over for another corner! Unfortunately for Lens, Sotoca is flagged for offisde, and the the free-kick goes against them.
56' Pereira da Costa sends Muinga on a run with a great throughball, and despite Bernat's best efforts, the Lens striker forces a corner.
F. Sotoca
G. Kakuta
54' Kakuta's unable to continue, and so Florian Sotoca comes on for the injured Lens forward.
53' Kakuta gets sandwiched in between Paredes and Bernat competing for the ball and has picked up a knock. He's receiving treatment, and it remains to be seen whether he'll be able to carry on.
51' WIDE!!! A fantastic cross from the right deflects high into the air off Danilo's torso, and lands on the foot of Muinga whose volley is just wide of the post!!! What a chance for Lens and this game has not slowed down one bit!!
50' WIDE!!! Di Maria receives the ball in space and cuts in from the right. He's given time to shoot and curls a great effort from 20 yards, that just curls the wrong side of Leca's right-hand post!
48' Lens engineer a beautiful passing move on the edge of PSG's box, but the final ball from Muinga to Kakuta is intercepted and the chance is lost!
F. Medina
Yellow Card
47' Medina strangely handles the ball very deliberately under pressure from Icardi, and is rightfully booked.
46' And we're back underway in the second half as Muinga kicks off for Lens!
It's almost time for half number two, and we're strapped in and ready to go for another 45 minutes of football!
Lens' captain Fofana was everywhere in that first half. Like both Doucoure and Clauss, he produced two shots, with one on target, and one key pass in that first half, but the Ivorian also had the most passes and touches in PSG's half, and as well as an intercpetion, won the ball back nine times, more than any other player on the pitch!
As goalless first halves go, that surely has to be one of the best in recent memory! The home side flew out of the traps like caged animals, and were at PSG from the very first whistle! They had copious amounts of chances to take the lead, and Navas really came to PSG's aid, but when the star quality of the Paris side finally showed, Lens' desperate defence kept them out too! What a half, and we can't wait for the next 45 minutes to start!
45' + 2' HALF-TIME: LENS 0-0 PSG.
45' + 1' HOW DID HE SAVE THAT!!!! Hakimi shoots down the right and crosses into the box. It finds Di Maria at the back post, who somehow doesn't score with his half-volley! Leca flies back across his goal to keep out the shot and somehow Lens survive!!! What an end to the half!
45' + 1' We're into one minute of injury time at the end of this first-half.
45' WIDE!!! A poor Frankowski clearances from Messi's cross sees the ball spin high into the air. Messi crosses back in and finds Icardi, whose left-footed volley on the fly is wide of the mark! It looked easier to score from there!
43' PENALTY??? Lens fly forward again through Muinga who looks to get round Kimpembe. He tries this, but Kimpembe slides in, taking both ball and man, to deflect the ball behind for a corner! The home crowd bay for a spot-kick, but they'll have to settle for a corner!
41' Kimpembe slides into Kakuta late and concedes a free-kick. The volatile nature of this game has remained, but it's far from free-flowing now, with these frequent stoppages.
40' Danso clatters into the back of Verratti and concedes the free kick. He's lucky not to be carded for that, too.
39' PSG are really starting to get a foothold in this game now. Verratti and Messi are pulling the strings inside Lens' half, and every time they venture forward, PSG look like they could create a scoring chance.
37' SAVED!!! PSG come forward with Di Maria on the right. He cuts it back to Icardi, who evades Danso and smashes a shot towards the bottom corner! Leca gets down to it and it stings his palms as he saves, as the ball goes behind for a PSG corner!
35' Frankowski's at it again from distance, however this time he's given a lay-off by Doucoure and cuts inside to shoot. It's a woeful effort though, and sways far away from its intended target and into the crowd.
34' Verratti is fouled twice in quick succession, first by Kakuta and then Clauss, as Lens' pressing steps up in aggression.
32' OVER!!! A Lens corner is cleared by PSG, but once again it's not far enough as Frankowksi has the time to strike an optimistic volley from the edge of the box!! It's struck well, though, and just clears the top of the crossbar before going out for a goal kick.
32' Lens again win the ball high up the pitch, and Muinga feeds Kakuta in the box. It's well hit, but has next to no power and Navas can save relatively easily.
31' Navas' good work isn't properly cleared again by the PSG defence, and Clauss is able to get another cross away from the right. Navas comes to the rescue again for Paris, diving out to catch the low cross at the front post.
30' WHAT A SAVE!!! Lens cross from the left, and then from the right, and the ball ends up bouncing out to Doucoure on the edge of the box, who hits a powerful, dipping volley towards goal that Navas has to really stretch to keep out! Best chance of the game, bar none so far!
29' Di Maria sends Icardi on a run with a throughball into the box. He goes down under pressure from Medina, but the Lens defender won the ball fairly and squarely, and PSG will have to settle for a corner.
28' The frustration is starting to creep in for PSG, as Verratti slides straight through the back of Muinga. He's nowhere near the ball, and it's a wonder why he hasn't been booked for that foul.
27' SAVED!!! Another long ball works wonders for Lens, putting Muinga through on goal. He's at a tight angle and shoots for the far corner, but it's still a strong enough effort to force Navas into a low diving save, and he gathers the ball at the second time of asking!
26' Lens have won four of their last six Ligue 1 home games, scoring a minimum of two goals in each of their last four.
24' SAVED!!! Danilo brings down Kakuta, and from the free-kick, Clauss hits a sweet, sweet strike that beats the wall and dips low. It bounces right in front of the diving Navas, who is able to tip it away from the goal with a great last-ditch save!
23' PSG counter via their front-three and have an overlap on Lens. Messi's diagonal ball to Di Maria is uncharacteristically poor though, and Medina intercepts without breaking a sweat. That wasn't what we've come to expect from the seven-time Ballon D'Or winner.
22' A long ball forward is just kept in the field of play by Frankowski. He has Fofana in support, who sets himself for a shot and unleashes a relatively tame curling finish, which Navas is able to gather with ease.
21' Lens haven’t won any of their last three Ligue 1 matches. It’s their longest drought this season, and PSG will fancy their chances at extending it.
19' Lens fly up the field on the counter and Clauss whips in an exciting cross with Muinga waiting. It's deflected behind by Bernat though, and the hosts have another corner.
18' OFF THE POST!!! Verratti steals possession and sends Messi away, looking to capitalise again. He races into the box untouched, but his finessed finish cracks the outside of the right-hand post and goes out! So, so close!
16' Doucoure and Fofana get mixed-up going for the ball and Messi capitalises. He dribbles into the box and chips over the defence for Icardi to run onto, but it's cut out by Leca racing out of his goal to collect.
14' Lens have won only one of their last 11 games against PSG in the league, losing six, but that victory came in their last home game against the Parisians in September 2020!
12' Judging by the frequency at which Fofana is getting forward, it's no surprise to see a slight chance in formation for Lens. They've moved to a 3-4-2-1, with Frankowski moving out to the left, Medina dropping into the back three, and Fofana moving into midfield alongside Doucoure, with Muinga now a lone striker flanked by Kakuta and Pereira da Costa.
10' Kakuta sets up Fofana from 25 yards and the Lens captain has a pop. It looks like a dismal effort as it flies closer to the corner flag than the goal, but a slight deflection took it there and so the home side have a corner!
8' Lens come forward again after winning possession and the ball is shifred to Clauss on the right. He shoots on the angle, but it's wayward and flies well wide to the left of Navas' goal.
7' Messi drops deep to help out his panicked teammates, but Medina follows him all the way and eventually fouls the Argentinian, breaking the press of Lens.
5' A first real crossing chance for the hosts as Fofana wins the ball and helps his teammates regain possession after PSG attempt to clear. He crosses from the byline towards Muinga, but it's headed away from danger by Marquinhos.
5' Lens have come firing out of the blocks at PSG, the hosts are pressing like possessed men every time PSG get the ball and aren't giving them any time on it whatsoever. It's been a frantic start for the Parisians to put up with.
3' Danilo puts a great ball through for Icardi to latch onto, but it's ushered out for a goal kick by Danso and the chance vanishes.
1' And we're underway as Icardi kicks off!
The teams are out onto the pitch, and we’re almost ready for this game to begin!
With top-scorer Kylian Mbappe on the bench, recently crowned seven-time Ballon D’Or winner Lionel Messi gets another chance to shine in PSG’s front-three. Playing alongside fellow countrymen Icardi and Di Maria in this game, Messi will be hoping to add to his relatively poor one goal in seven games in the league so far this season.
Lens captain Seko Fofana has led from the front – and back – this season. He’s their top scorer in the league with four, but in this game starts in the middle of a back-three. A midfielder at heart, the Ivorian will be more than capable of advancing forward, should his side need him to.
PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN SUBS: Gianluigi Donnarumma, Kylian Mbappe, Rafinha, Colin Dagba, Georginio Wijnaldum, Abdou Diallo, Nuno Mendes, Idrissa Gueye, Eric Ebimbe.
PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN (4-3-3): Keylor Navas; Achraf Hakimi, Marquinhos, Presnel Kimpembe, Juan Bernat; Leandro Paredes, Danilo Pereira, Marco Verratti; Lionel Messi, Mauro Icardi, Angel Di Maria.
LENS SUBS: Wuilker Farinez, Christopher Maurice Wooh, Florian Sotoca, Ignatius Ganago, Yannich Cahuzac, Massadio Haidara, Corentin Jean, Charles Boli, Jonathan Varane.

PSG are far out in front at the top of the tree though. They lead second-placed Marseille by 12 points, and have already sewn up the ‘Autumn Champions’ title in Ligue 1; their unassailable lead means they’ll be top at Christmas.
Fifth-placed Lens are continuing to defy the odds in Ligue 1 this season, and a win in this match could see them rise to as high as second in the table.
Hello, and welcome to live coverage of this Ligue 1 fixture, between Lens and Paris Saint-Germain.
