UEFA Champions League
UEFA Europa League

Thank you for following our coverage of tonight’s Premier League match-up between Leeds United and Crystal Palace. Until next time, stay safe!
Both of these sides return to Premier League action once again next weekend. Leeds travel to London to face Arsenal on Sunday evening whilst Crystal Palace host Burnley on Saturday afternoon.
The hosts win this mid-table Premier League battle with relative ease thanks to strikes from Harrison and Bamford and move up to 10th spot in the standings at the expense of Arsenal. Palace had their chances throughout but failed to breach the Leeds United defence who pick up their 7th clean sheet of the season in this routine victory.
90' + 2' A combination of Mitchell and Guaita clear the danger for the visitors as Leeds go in search of a third goal.
90' There'll be a minimum of three minutes of additional time played here at Elland Road as Leeds United close in on another vital Premier League win.
89' Benteke heads goalward for Palace but Meslier keeps out the forward's effort. There's not much time left for the away side now.
J. Shackleton
K. Phillips
88' Phillips is down for the hosts – the second time in the last five minutes – and will be replaced by Shackleton for the closing moments of this match.
87' Leeds haven’t lost three consecutive home league games since October 2017, while they last did so in the Premier League in November 2003. It looks like that streak will still be going strong after tonight's performance!
85' CROSSBAR! Harrison pushes into the Palace penalty area and strikes for goal. His right-footed effort from 20 yards beats the helpless Guaita in net but instead cracks the woodwork and goes over.
83' Cahill meets the delivery from the corner but his header is held onto by Meslier.
82' The visitors break from a Leeds corner and Batshuayi forces a corner from Alioski. This could be a chance for the away side.
80' Palace have 10 minutes of normal time to turn around this clash, but the visitors look void of any real creativity right now. The more they attack, the more space Leeds will find as the hosts look to kill off this match.
C. Benteke
J. Ayew
77' Another attacking change for the visitors as Ayew is replaced by Benteke.
L. Milivojević
Yellow Card
76' Milivojevic is booked for hacking down Dallas callously.
75' Ayew fights off Phillips as he advances towards the Leeds box, but Cooper then comes across to win back possession for the hosts. The Elland Road side haven’t put a foot wrong at the back so far in this match.
73' Patrick Bamford is the first player to score in three Premier League games in a season against teams he previously played for in the competition (vs Crystal Palace x2 & Burnley) since Romelu Lukaku in 2017-18 (vs Everton, West Brom & Chelsea for Man Utd).
71' Leeds repsond with another chance of their own as Guaita gets down quickly to push a Dallas strike from distance wide. Cooper then heads well wide from the following corner.
70' Townsend strikes from the edge of the area but Meslier holds on to the midfielder’s left-footed strike. It’s definitely been better from Palace in the last ten minutes but they’re running out of time here.
68' CHANCE! Palace have their biggest opportunity of the match. Batshuayi takes on Ayling before advancing into the box from the left. The Belgian striker picks out Eze, but the youngster blazes his first-time effort well over the Leeds bar from 15 yards out.
M. Batshuayi
J. Mateta
65' Another substitution for the away side. This time Batshuayi replaces Mateta. A difficult debut for the French forward who was marked out of the match by the Leeds defence.
64' The home side are ripping through Palace’s defence every time they move forward now. This time Klich feed Alioski on the right wing but the defender’s pull-back misses Bamford in the box.
61' Leeds whip in another corner and Struijk again rises highest to meet the delivery. The Dutch defender heads into the ground but his effort is blocked again by the Palace defence.
60' Ayew goes down in a heap under a challenge from Alioski in the Leeds penalty area but his appeals are waved away.
58' The hosts have definitely won the midfield battle so far in this match. Dallas and Klich have hurried Milivojevic in particular into a few mistakes now in the centre of the park.
56' Bamford again beats his man in the air but Guaita holds on to the Leeds forward’s headed effort this time. It’s very end-to-end now here at Elland Road.
55' Palace responds with a chance of their own as Eze sees a shot from just inside the Leeds box blocked by a defender. The visitors need to find a goal of their own soon if they have aspirations of getting any sort of result from this Premier League clash.
P. Bamford
52' GOOOAAAALLLL!! 2-0 TO LEEDS. BAMFORD!!! Raphinha latches onto a through-ball from Klich and unleashes a strike from 20 yards out. Guaita does well to keep the Brazilian’s effort out but his parried save falls perfectly for Bamford who side foots home from 15 yards out.
51' BLOCK! Palace break through Riedewald and the midfielder advances towards the Leeds box. He finds Ayew to his right, but the forward has a poor first touch which gives Cooper time to block his subsequent effort from just inside the penalty area.
48' It looks like Eze has switched over to the left wing so Townsend will play on the right and in front of Clyne for the visitors. The sub has already seen plenty of the ball in the opening minutes of this second half.
46' Both sets of players are back on the field and the second half begins!
A. Townsend
P. van Aanholt
46' A change at the break for Palace as Townsend replaces van Aanholt on the left. That switch should make the visitors more dangerous out wide.
Palace boss Roy Hodgson could make a change upfront to try and offer Mateta some much-needed help against the Leeds defence. Benteke and Batshuayi could be called upon sooner rather than later by the visiting manager.
The hosts lead at the break courtesy of Harrison’s early strike which took a big deflection on its way to beating Guaita in the Palace goal. The hosts have played the better football and have had the bigger chances so far, but Palace are still in this Premier League clash and look dangerous on the break.
45' Ayew appeals for a penalty as Ayling bundles him off the ball in the Leeds penalty area but referee Andre Marriner isn’t interested.
44' BIG CHANCE! Leeds recycle a corner that is originally cleared by the Palace defence and Phillips finds Struijk with a lovely cross from the left. The defender is in acres of space but gets his headed effort all wrong from 15 yards out and Palace survive another scare.
42' Leeds have another free kick but Cahill’s touch from the delivery under pressure sees the ball fall kindly to Guaita who collects. The hosts have ramped up their pressure over the last five minutes as they go in search of a second before the break.
40' Raphinha delivers the free kick and Struijk meets the cross with his head but the defender's effort goes well over the Palace crossbar in the end.
G. Cahill
Yellow Card
38' Cahill gets a booking for pulling back the Leeds midfielder.
38' A moment of magic from Raphinha who nutmegs Cahill just outside the Palace penalty area before the defender drags down his man.
37' Ayew strikes from around 30 yards out but Meslier is equal to his effort. That’s the visitors first strike on target in this match.
36' The away side have really started to dominate the possession in the last few minutes. Eze in particular is looking dangerous for Palace.
34' Jack Harrison has netted three goals in his last four league games for Leeds, as many as he managed in his previous 24 for the club.
32' Mitchell looks to advance down the left but Ayling shields the ball out of play for the hosts. He’s been key to their good form this season.
30' The conditions are certainly tricky tonight and Guaita is the latest player to slip on the surface. The hosts replaced their pitch just a few weeks ago but it seems problematic for those playing in this Premier League clash.
27' It’s definitely been a tough debut so far for Palace’s Mateta. The French forward has put himself about well, but the service into him has been non-existent in truth.
25' CLOSE! Raphinha hits the free kick from 20 yards out but his left-footed strike goes just over the crossbar.
24' Riedewald chops down Raphinha and the hosts have a free kick in a very dangerous position just outside of Palace’s penalty area.
23' CHANCE! A lose pass from Milivojevic is pounced upon by Bamford who all of a sudden is bearing down on the Palace goal. The Leeds United forward only has Guita to beat but his effort from 20 yards out flies over the bar. That’s a let off for Palace.
21' Palace get the first corner of this match as Alioski dispossess van Aanholt out on the right flank. Eze delivers the subsequent set piece but the Leeds defence repel the danger on this occasion.
19' There’s another effort at goal from Bamford who this time heads wide for the hosts. He’s already twice got the better of his man in those vital aerial battles.
17' Crystal Palace are looking to record a league double over Leeds for the first time since the 1985/86 season in the second tier. They have never achieved this in the top-flight. The Eagles will have to come from behind to complete that feat with Harrison finding the net early on in this clash for the hosts.
14' Palace move forward and Ayew strikes from distance, but his effort is blocked by Cooper. The away side are looking dangerous on the break early on here at Elland Road.
12' SAVE! Alioski whips in a dangerous cross from the left wing and Bamford darts in front of Cahill in the box. The forward meets the deliver perfectly but Guita turns away his header that was destined for the near bottom corner of the Palace goal.
10' Palace advance down the left through Riedewald. The midfielder plays it inside to van Aanholt but the return pass is too strong and the chance disappears. Had the pass been better, the visitors would have been in on goal there.
8' The home team has won eight of the last 10 matches between Leeds and Crystal Palace in all competitions, with the other two ending as draws.
6' It’s a dream start for the home side who have continued to apply the pressure since that early goal. Klich is down currently after slipping awkwardly on the Elland Road turf but the midfielder looks set to be able to continue.
S. Dallas
3' Dallas picks up the assist on that early goal for the hosts.
J. Harrison
3' GOOOOAAALLLL!!! 1-0 TO LEEDS. HARRISON!!!! The hosts get the early breakthrough. Harrison picks up the ball on the edge of the Palace penalty area and strikes from around 30 yards out. It’s likely to be saved but a deflection from Cahill takes it past the helpless Guita in the visitor's net.
3' For Crystal Palace, van Aanholt will be playing as the left winger this evening with Mitchell operating as the left-back. It also looks like Ayew will play just off of Mateta and will play instead as the ‘number 10’ for the visitors.
1' Referee Andre Marriner blows his whistle and we’re underway here in West Yorkshire!
The players are emerging from the tunnel and kick-off is just moments away.
Leeds are set to host Crystal Palace at Elland Road for a Premier League match for the first time since the 1997/98 season, losing 0-2 under manager George Graham on that occasion.
Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson faces a huge blow as star forward Wilfried Zaha is forced to miss this clash with Leeds due to a hamstring injury. As a result, debutant Mateta joins Ayew upfront for the visitors with Mitchell and Eze playing on either wing. Milivojevic and Riedewald anchor the midfield whilst Clyne, Dann, Cahill and Van Aanholt all start at the back. The Eagles name just five outfield substitutes as their injury list continues to lengthen.
The hosts are still without a number of key players due to injury including forward Rodrigo who again misses the action. Ayling, Struijk, Cooper and Alioski continue in defence for Leeds with Phillips sitting in the defensive midfield spot. Star man Raphinha plays alongside Dallas, Klich and Harrison in midfield whilst top scorer Bamford starts as the lone striker.
CRYSTAL PALACE SUBS: Jack Butland, Martin Kelly, Cheikhou Kouyate, Andros Townsend, Michy Batshuayi, Christian Benteke.
CRYSTAL PALACE (4-4-2): Vicente Guaita; Nathaniel Clyne, Scott Dann, Gary Cahill, Patrick van Aanholt; Eberechi Eze, Luka Milivojevic, Jairo Riedewald, Tyrick Mitchell; Jordan Ayew, Jean-Philippe Mateta.

Elland Road plays host to an intriguing Premier League clash between two sides who currently sit on 29 points in the standings. Both Leeds United and Crystal Palace have won two and lost two of their last four league matches and a victory for either side in this match-up could keep alive any faint hopes of European qualification as the season reaches an important stage.
