England Norway Women's World Cup
Phil Neville's Lionesses eased through to the semi-finals of the competition with an impressive performance against the Grasshoppers in Le Havre

England are 9/2 (5.50) to win the Women's World Cup after securing their place in the semi-finals.

Goals from Jill Scott, Ellen White and Lucy Bronze capped an impressive 3-0 win over Norway in Le Havre.

Prior to the tournament getting underway Phil Neville’s side were around 13/2 (7.50) to be crowed champions and their performances have improved throughout the competition, an encouraging sign for their backers.

Four years ago, England finished third and now have a great chance of improving upon that showing although the level of opposition will rise significantly from this point on.

The Lionesses are the first team through the final four, ahead of a blockbuster quarter-final clash between reigning champions USA and hosts France which is undoubtedly the highlight of the round.

Friday's clash at the Parc des Princes will see one of the two leading contenders knocked out of contention, with the winner facing England in Lyon on Tuesday.

SportPesa make the holders 6/4 (2.50) to defend their crown while Les Blues sit at 4/1 (5.0) in the outright market. The Americans have an unrivalled World Cup pedigree with three titles to their name while France have never finished better than fourth place on this stage.

Should Corinne Diacre's side come out on top in Paris though, they'll assume the position of market principles, especially with home advantage.

Germany sit on the other half of the draw and sit at 9/2 (5.50). The two-time winners face Sweden in the last quarter-final, followed by the winner of Italy's clash with Netherlands should they progress.

Those four teams are seen as the main contenders according to the bookmakers, with a significant jump in the betting to the European champions at 10/1 (11.0) and Sweden at 18/1 (19.0).

The Oranje are unbeaten in the competition so far but face their toughest test of the summer against an Azzurre side that finished top of a group that also included Brazil and Australia. Despite that, Italy are the outsiders of the field, priced at 22/1 (23.0) by SportPesa.
