That brings an end to our coverage of the Serie A clash between Inter and Torino at San Siro. Thank you very much for joining us. Goodbye!
Inter will be seeking to secure back-to-back wins when they travel to SPAL in their next match. Torino, on the other hand, host Genoa as they look to bounce back.
After a tightly-contested contest, Inter secure all three points against Torino. The away side were good value for their one-goal lead at the break after Belotti put them ahead on 17 minutes, but the Nezarruzzi turned things around in the second half. Quickfire goals from Young and Godin put Conte’s side ahead six minutes into the second half, before Martinez sealed the win just after the hour mark.
90' + 2' CHANCE! Candreva receives the ball down the right flank from Sanchez before picking out Eriksen in the middle. The midfielder, however, steers his first-time shot straight at Sirigu.
90' After a foul from Bastoni on Berenguer, a free-kick is swung into the hosts’ box from a dangerous area down the right flank by Millico. The set-piece ricochets into Nkoulou, who sees his flicked effort deflect behind for a corner off Candreva. The resulting set-piece comes to nothing.
90' There will be three added minutes at the end of this match.
88' The game has begun to get a little scrappy now as we enter the final few minutes. Skriniar impedes Belotti and the visitors are awarded a free-kick in their own half.
C. Biraghi
Yellow Card
86' As Torino looked to clear their lines following that earlier Inter attack, Biraghi cynically brought down Singo and picks up a yellow card. He can have absolutely no complaints with that decision.
86' INCREDIBLE DOUBLE SAVE! Following a quick break, Eriksen dinks a clever pass into Gagliardini, who sees his first effort acrobatically saved by Sirigu following a deflection, before the goalkeeper sprung into life to claw away the midfielder’s follow-up attempt from close range.
C. Eriksen
Lautaro Martínez
84' With only six minutes of normal time left to play, Eriksen enters the fray while Martinez, the scorer of the third goal, heads for the bench.
83' JUST WIDE! After some patient play on the edge of Inter’s penalty area, Millico receives the ball and looks to make something happen. The attacker cuts inside onto his right foot before curling a well-struck effort just past the far post. That really was not far away.
81' Brozovic finds Candreva in acres of space down the right-hand side of the field, and the substitute once again opts to try his luck. On this occasion, however, his shot sails over the top of Sirigu’s goal.
79' The previous two meetings between these sides at San Siro have both ended in a draw. The last time the Granata remained unbeaten in three consecutive trips to Inter’s ground was in 1985.
77' BLOCK! Millico almost makes an immediate impact as his deep cross lands to Singo in the centre of the box. The midfielder takes the shot first time, although Bastoni stands tall to make a crucial block.
V. Millico
S. Verdi
76' Longo also opts to make an alteration as Millico comes on for the closing stages with Verdi making way.
M. Škriniar
D. Godín
76' Conte decides to make his third change of the game as we enter the final 15 minutes. Skriniar replaces Godin.
75' CLOSE! Sirigu takes a real chance in taking his time over a clearance, allowing Martinez to close down his right-footed pass. The Argentine is alert to the Torino goalkeeper’s risk taking, and Sirigu is forced to scramble the ball off his line after a smart block from Martinez.
74' JUST WIDE! Moments after coming on, Candreva goes close to extending Inter’s lead. Some more clever play from Sanchez results in the Italian wing-back being played in down the right, although he just drags his right-footed shot wide of the far post.
C. Biraghi
D. D'Ambrosio
71' Following his recent booking, D’Ambrosio is brought off by Conte, who makes his first change by bringing on Biraghi.
A. Candreva
A. Young
71' It is a double change for the Nerazzurri as Young also makes way for Candreva. It remains 3-1.
D. D'Ambrosio
Yellow Card
69' D’Ambrosio is the next player to go into the book after a bad tackle on Aina.
68' Sanchez is causing all kinds of problems for the away side’s defence at present. He neatly controls a lofted pass before seeing his shot blocked. The loose ball then drops to Brozovic, who also sees his effort blocked by Izzo.
65' GOOD SAVE! Sanchez finds himself in space down the left-hand side of the visitors’ penalty area and opts to go for goal. Sirigu, however, is equal to his right-footed strike.
65' OFF THE BAR! Belotti goes close to pulling one back for the away side! Aina creates a yard of space to deliver an inviting cross into the area, which Belotti meets in the centre of the box, but his effort cannons off the bar.
S. Lukić
S. Meïté
64' Lukic also enters the fray in place of Meite. There are 26 minutes of normal time left to play.
Álex Berenguer
C. Ansaldi
64' Longo responds to Inter's third goal by making a double change. Berenguer is the first player to enter the action, with Ansaldi being replaced.
W. Singo
L. De Silvestri
64' Longo looks to freshen things up once more by making his third substitution of the match with Singo replacing De Silvestri, who had been booked earlier in the game.
A. Sánchez
Yellow Card
62' Sanchez is the latest player to pick up a yellow card after sliding in and cynically catching Izzo deep in Torino’s half.
Lautaro Martínez
61' GOAL! Inter extend their lead! Izzo cheaply loses the ball to Sanchez down the left-hand side of the field before the Chilean slides a forward pass to Martinez. After taking a touch, the striker unleashes a fierce effort from the edge of the box which deflects off Bremer, loops over Sirigu and lands in the back of the net. 3-1.
A. Sánchez
61' Assist Alexis Alejandro Sánchez Sánchez
M. Brozović
Yellow Card
60' Brozovic goes in rather late on Verdi after trying to chase his first touch and picks up a yellow card.
59' The home side combine neatly in the centre of the park and it results in Gagliardini sliding the ball over to the right for D’Ambrosio. However, the wing-back just made his run a fraction too early and is flagged for offside by the referee’s assistant.
57' Conte has a 100 per cent record against Torino as a Serie A manager, with five wins in five matches and a total combined score of 10-0.
55' GREAT CHANCE! Belotti tries his luck from the edge of the box, and his effort deflects off Brozovic and into the path of Verdi in the centre of the box. The Italian opts to take it first time, although his lofted header is claimed by Handanovic.
53' D’Ambrosio clips Aina and the referee is quick to award the away side a free-kick.
A. Sánchez
51' Much like Martinez in Inter’s equalising goal, Sanchez’s composure and understanding of his side’s positioning is pivotal to this goal. The weight of pass from Young to the Chilean was inch perfect and it allowed the attacker to put it on a plate for Godin. A very well-worked goal.
D. Godín
51' WHAT A TURNAROUND! The hosts take the lead! Sanchez works a short corner to Young on the edge of the box, who sends a wonderful lofted throughball beyond the Torino defence. Sanchez reacts to latch onto the pass before nodding it across goal for Godin, who steered it past Sirigu from a few yards out. 2-1.
L. De Silvestri
Yellow Card
49' De Silvestri goes in late on Young and picks up a yellow card. He can have no complaints about that decision.
Lautaro Martínez
48' While the finish from Young is impressive, Martinez deserves immense credit for creating the opportunity. The Argentine showed great awareness to pick out his teammate, who applied the finish.
A. Young
48' GOAL! Inter are level! D’Ambrosio picks the ball up in a deep area and swings a hopeful cross into the box. Martinez tracks it to the back post before turning it back into the centre of the box, where Young arrives to volley past Sirigu from close range. 1-1.
47' The hosts have started the second half well as Martinez slides a pass over to the right for D’Ambrosio. The wing-back swings the ball into the box, although Nkoulou is once again well placed to head the ball to safety.
46' We are back underway! Massa, the referee, blows his whistle and Inter get the second half kicked off.
Conte will be frustrated at the interval and will be hoping for much more from his side in the second half. Although the hosts have enjoyed the bulk of the play thus far, they have yet to really test Sirigu. Martinez has looked the most likely to make something happen, and he will be key if Inter are to turn things around after the restart. Longo, on the other hand, will be delighted with his team. Torino have looked dangerous on the break while remaining solid at the back, restricting the Nerazzurri to shots from distance.
Following an entertaining opening half, Torino take a one-goal lead into the break. Despite being under the cosh for much of the first half, the Granata took the lead after 17 minutes when Handanovic gifted Belotti the breakthrough goal after fumbling a corner. Inter pressed for an equaliser, but the visitors came closest to adding the game’s second goal, although Inter’s Slovenian goalkeeper made a smart stop to deny Ansaldi six minutes before half time.
45' WIDE! Sanchez’s deep corner from the right evades everyone in the middle, before falling to Young on the edge of the box. The Englishman sets himself before pulling a right-footed shot wide of the near post.
43' De Silvestri catches Young and the home side are given a free-kick inside their own half.
41' After regaining possession, Young receives the ball just in field from the left flank and fires a fiercely-struck shot straight at Sirigu from distance.
40' GREAT CHANCE! Belotti picks the ball up in the centre of the park before sliding in Ansaldi to his left. The wing-back cuts onto his right foot and beyond Godin, but Handanovic is equal to his near-post strike from close range.
39' Following Sanchez’s corner, the loose ball drops to the feet of Gagliardini, who fires a left-footed shot wide to the right of Sirigu’s goal from the edge of the box.
38' PENALTY? Ansaldi floats a cross into the area from the left which Handanovic punches, but only as far as De Silvestri. From the right side of the box, the wing-back steers the ball towards goal and it cannons off Bastoni’s arm before being hooked to safety. The referee was well placed for that one and waves away the protests.
37' D’Ambrosio is impeded by Belotti, and Massa gives the home side a free-kick.
35' D'Ambrosio drives forward down the line and sets himself for a cross into the area. However, his lofted delivery is well blocked near the corner flag by Meite.
33' SAVE! Martinez tries his luck from the left side of the box after being slid in by Gagliardini who won the ball back in a dangerous area, but his right-footed effort is saved in the bottom-left corner by Sirigu.
32' Inter continue to apply the pressure but are struggling to find a way through Torino’s resolute defensive structure. Young attempts another cross from the left, which is comfortably blocked by De Silvestri.
S. Meïté
Yellow Card
30' Nkoulou and Meite both impede Sanchez from behind, before the French midfielder is shown a yellow card for dissent.
29' The Granata look to attack down the left-hand side of the field with Ansaldi cutting back onto his right foot and delivering a cross into the penalty area. De Silvestri arrives to meet it, but climbs all over Young, who wins a free-kick for the hosts.
28' The rhythm of the match is being somewhat interrupted by a succession of cynical fouls. Godin is this time brought down by Ansaldi.
26' Meite attempts to drive Torino further up the field, but is dragged to the ground from behind by Gagliardini. Free-kick to the away side in their own defensive third.
25' WIDE! Sanchez whips the resulting free-kick into the near post where De Vrij is well placed to meet it, although his right-footed effort is tame and goes wide to the right of Sirigu’s goal. He should have done better there.
O. Aina
Yellow Card
24' Martinez cleverly knocks the ball beyond Aina, who catches the Argentine in the face with his arm. The action was enough to earn him Torino’s first card of the game.
23' Despite leading, Torino have only had 28 per cent of the possession thus far in the match.
D. Godín
Yellow Card
21' Godin receives the first yellow card of the match after fouling De Silvestri from behind as the visitors looked to work the ball forward.
20' Young is continuing to find space down the left-hand side of the field as he sends another cross in towards the far post. Nkoulou is alert to nod the ball behind with Godin arriving.
18' Izzo catches Young and the hosts are awarded a free-kick down the left flank.
A. Belotti
17' GOAL! Torino lead against the run of play! The resulting corner is sent deep into the box and Handanovic fails to claim it at his far post, dropping it straight to Belotti, who applies a simple finish from only a few yards out. 1-0.
16' The away side venture forward for the first time in the match. Belotti gets played in behind, although his strike deflects out for a corner to the right off De Vrij.
14' The Nerazzurri again work the play down the left flank and, and after an advantage is played following a foul on Sanzhez, Young whips another cross in towards the far post. Godin rises with Nkoulou but sends his header wide of the near post.
12' CHANCE! Valero dinks a well-weighted throughball beyond the Torino defence for Sanchez. The attacker took it down well and turned before laying it off to Brozovic, who saw his well-struck effort tipped out for a corner by Sirigu.
11' After some patient build-up play down the left-hand side of the field, Valero works the ball to Godin. Having created space for himself, the defender strikes a fierce effort beyond Sirigu’s far post from range.
10' The Granata have struggled to get out of their own half in the opening 10 minutes of the match with Inter continuing to control proceedings.
8' Belotti clips Bastoni from behind and the hosts are awarded a free-kick inside Torino’s half. The set-piece is taken quickly by Inter and played back towards their own goal.
6' WIDE! Sanchez floats in an out-swinging corner from the right which falls to Martinez at the far post. The Argentine takes a touch to set himself before dragging a left-footed shot wide to the right of Sirigu’s goal.
5' Brozovic picks the ball up just inside the Torino half before looking to slide a forward pass into Martinez on the edge of the away side’s box. Meite is alert to the danger and gets across intelligently to cut out the pass.
3' Inter have made a positive start to this match and are seeing plenty of the ball in the opening stages. Young cuts in from the left flank and delivers a cross into the area, which Nkoulou powerfully heads to safety.
1' BLOCK! Torino cheaply lose the ball deep inside their own half allowing Sanchez to regain possession for the hosts. The Chilean slides a pass in behind the visitors’ defence for Martinez, who see his first-time shot blocked by Izzo in the centre of the box.
1' Kick off! The referee, Davide Massa, blows his whistle and Torino get the game underway.
The teams are out, and kick-off will soon be upon us here at San Siro.
Torino have not lost their second meeting of the season against Inter since the 2013/14 campaign. Since then, there have been four wins and a draw for the Granata, who’ve also kept a clean sheet in the last two meetings.
In their last six games, Conte’s side have won just three matches. Moreover, the Nerazzurri have failed to win either of their last two fixtures, conceding four goals in that time. Because of that, the hosts currently sit fourth in Serie A, but could leapfrog third-placed Atalanta with a win today. Torino, on the other hand, moved five points clear of the relegation zone following their 3-1 victory over Brescia last time out and now sit 16th. However, the visitors will have to end a run of six consecutive away defeats if they are to avoid defeat at San Siro.
Antonio Conte makes three changes to his line-up following Inter’s 2-2 draw with Verona last time out. Bastoni is back from suspension to come into the defence ahead of Skriniar, who drops to the bench, while D’Ambrosio and Martinez also start in place on Candreva and Romelu Lukaku. The Belgian, however, is not named amongst the subs for the Nerazzurri. The visitors, meanwhile, make two alterations from their previous match, with Aina and Izzo replacing Lyanco and Zaza, as the Italian striker misses out through a one-match suspension.
TORINO SUBS: Antonio Rosati, Samir Ujkani, Lyanco, Koffi Djidji, Emin Ghazoini, Wilfried Stephane Singo, Michel Ndary Adopo, Jean Greco, Sasa Lukic, Alex Berenguer, Simone Edera, Vincenzo Millico.
INTER SUBS: Daniele Padelli, Tommaso Berni, Andrea Ranocchia, Milan Skriniar, Lorenzo Pirola, Kwadwo Asamoah, Cristiano Biraghi, Lucien Agoume, Antonio Candreva, Cristian Eriksen, Sebastiano Esposito.
TORINO (3-5-2): Salvatore Sirigu; Armando Izzo, Nicolas Nkoulou, Bremer; Lorenzo De Silvestri, Soualiho Meite, Tomas Rincon, Cristian Ansaldi, Ola Aina; Simone Verdi, Andrea Belotti.
INTER (3-4-1-2): Samir Handanovic; Diego Godin, Stefan de Vrij, Alessandro Bastoni; Danilo D'Ambrosio, Roberto Gagliardini, Marcelo Brozovic, Ashley Young; Borja Valero; Alexis Sanchez, Lautaro Martinez.
The home side come into this game looking for an improvement on their last result having drawn 2-2 with Hellas Verona. Moreno Longo’s team, meanwhile, will be full of confidence following their 3-1 victory over Brescia in their previous match in Serie A.
Hello and welcome to live match coverage of the Serie A fixture between Inter and Torino at San Siro.
