Manchester City
Fernandinho slides a pass into Toure, but it is very much the Ivorian who does the hard work.
Silva is fouled, with the visitors not afraid to take their time over the free-kick. Man City expand play down the left, with Sterling and Aguero combining, but the Citizens aren't looking to lose possession unnecessarily. Pellegrini's men are merely winding down the seconds.
Dynamo are seeing plenty of possession, but Rebrov's men are going nowhere fast with it! As we edge into the last five minutes, it appears that the home side may be happy to just see out a narrow defeat on home soil.
Otamendi rises well inside his own penalty area, with the former Valencia central defender nodding a free-kick delivery to safety! With narrowly over five minutes remaining, the away outfit are edging ever-closer to a very good result on their Champions League travels.
Aguero breaks away down the right-hand side, with the Argentina international choosing to retain possession rather than look for a third goal. Sterling lifts a great cross into the six-yard box, but somehow Toure heads well wide from very close range! Unbelievable miss!
Hart is forced into action by Buyalskyy! The Man City goalkeeper gets down well to his right-hand side, with the Englishman parrying the ball into a non-threatening area of the field. Warning bells will be ringing for the away side, who only have 10 minutes left to see out.
Makarenko manages to drive to the left byline, but the substitute can't quite be found by a pass from Buyalskyy. Dynamo can't avoid to be wasteful in these dying stages, with a second goal vital to potentially getting back on level terms.
We're into the final quarter of an hour in Kiev, with Man City searching for the goal that will kill the game. Silva scampers down the right flank, before angling in a zipping cross, but Shovkovsky does just enough to keep the visitors at bay! An initial spill from the goalkeeper is then hacked away by Khacheridi. Moments later, the same shot-stopper smothers a dangerous ball ahead of Aguero.
Sagna tries to swing a devilish cross in from the right-hand side, but Dragovic clears with ease. Both coaches are looking very animated at present, with Pellegrini in particular beginning to lose his cool. Man City attack down the right, but a cut back is intercepted with ease.
A lofted throughball searches for Veloso, but Otamendi comes across well to shepherd the danger out of play for a goal-kick. Man City build an attack and foray down the right as a result, but an attempted delivery from Fernandinho sails over the danger zone.
Man City aren't in any rush to break forward on the counter, with the visitors knowing that this scoreline is more than good enough to take home with them. Fernandinho breaks into the Dynamo penalty area, before tumbling dramatically, but the referee ignores another half-hearted appeal. The hosts break themselves, but Veloso fires well wide of the far post after a neat move.
Dynamo work play down the right-hand side, but Clichy does well to outmuscle Makarenko, as the substitute looks to overlap. Moments later, Yarmolenko is fed to the byline and tries to pull a cross back towards Junior, but Hart is the fortunate benefactor of the poor delivery.
E. Makarenko
Danilo Silva
Dynamo Kyiv
Danilo is forced off through injury, with Makarenko coming into the game at right-back for the last half an hour.
There's a break in play for an injury, with Dynamo hoping that the interval won't affect their momentum. Man City look to take the sting out of proceedings with some low-tempo possession, but it appears that the home side are happy to perhaps see out a narrow defeat tonight.
Man City are looking to pick Dynamo off on the counter, with Pellegrini's men continuing to sit deep and prey on mistakes from the home side. With less than half an hour on the clock, Rebrov's men could still fight their way to another goal before the full-time whistle.
Silva goes down in the penalty area, under pressure from Danilo, but yet again the referee doesn't want to award Man City a spot-kick. Rebrov is looking on from his technical area, with the ex-Spurs professional feasibly thinking of a second goal in this second half. The hosts have improved immeasurably.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! BUYALSKYY MAKES IT 2-1! The Ukrainian midfielder takes aim from the edge of the penalty area, guiding a bouncing and deflected half-volley beyond Hart! The England international goalkeeper was unsighted and then flummoxed by a touch from Otamendi!
Sterling drives to the left byline, before hurdling a wild challenge from Dragovic and going down, but once again the referee isn't interested. That was extremely silly from the Dynamo defender, who may well have seen the official point to the spot on another night.
Vida breaks down the left-hand side, but a stray pass from the Croatia international is mopped up by Sagna. Dynamo are enjoying all of the ball at the moment, but Hart still remains relatively untested in the visiting goal. Moments earlier, Sterling claimed for a penalty after being touched by Dragovic, but the referee wasn't interested.
Kompany makes a block on the edge of his own box, with Dynamo battling their way back into this game in the second half. A cross is floated in towards Gonzalez, but the lightweight winger is unable to divert a powerful header goalwards!
Man City stroke the ball around neatly, before Junior is gifted possession in a dangerous position! Otamendi slides in to initially dispossess the substitute, with a follow-up shot from range resulting in a much-needed block. Dynamo keep the pressure on, but Yarmolenko can only jink infield from the right and fire shy of the far post!
Yarmolenko breaks down the right-hand side and beats Otamendi, with the ex-Porto defender having little option but to fell his man. Dynamo have a free-kick in a dangerous area as a result, but Hart punches the delivery away from harm's way!
Kompany comes across to concede a corner for the away outfit, with Gonzalez placing the ball down to take. Dragovic tries to head a looping square ball back across goal, but Hart is quick off his line to claim.
Júnior Moraes
Ł. Teodorczyk
Dynamo Kyiv
Teodorczyk is withdrawn at the break, with Junior thrown into the fray in order to try and turn this game around.
We are back underway in the second half in Kiev! Man City have a commanding 2-0 lead, but Dynamo could still look to scramble their way back into the tie, given that they may fancy their chances at the Etihad in the near future.
HALF-TIME! Man City are in the driving seat at the break, with Pellegrini's men having a 2-0 lead over Dynamo Kyiv. Aguero and Silva have grabbed the goals, with the Citizens recovering well from a fairly slow start in Ukraine.
Khacheridi manages to nod a dangerous ball back to his goalkeeper, as Dynamo look to wind down this first half without conceding yet again.
There are two minutes of stoppage time.
Fernando and Fernandinho combine in the heart of the midfield third, but Veloso does well to cut out the danger before it approaches his penalty box. Man City are looking incredibly confident after netting their second away goal, with this tie threatening to get away from Dynamo before half-time.
Just wide from Aguero! The Argentina international drives to the edge of the penalty area, before unleashing a powerful strike towards the far post! The ball swerves just beyond the upright, with Shovkovsky struggling to cover his angles! Almost game, set and match to the Citizens.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! SILVA CAPS A GREAT MOVE! Aguero and Sterling combine on the edge of the penalty area, with the former feeding the latter to the byline cleverly! The ex-Liverpool winger sets the most inviting of crosses to the back post, with his Spanish teammate rifling a close-range finish into the ceiling of the net! 2-0 to Man City!

Sterling dances his way to the byline well, before providing a cross that Silva simply can't pass up!
Sagna manages to cut a ball back from the right byline, but Silva can only snatch at it! The ex-Valencia midfielder tries his luck with a zealous half-volleyed swing, but a deflection takes it into Shovkovsky's arms. Pellegrini's men could really do with a second goal before the break.
With less than 10 minutes remaining in this first half, Man City are appearing to be well on their way to an efficient away performance. Dynamo have been unable to create any clear-cut chances, with Kompany and Otamendi looking to be solid at the heart of the visiting back four.
The home side continue to retain possession quite well, but only due to the Citizens' willingness to drop back and prey on errors. Man City are sat in deep banks, with Silva and Aguero left further forward to press and chase lost causes.
Khacheridi does brilliantly to get the right side of Silva, after the Spain international danced into the penalty area menacingly. The Dynamo central defender goes down claiming a push and earns a free-kick for his team. The hosts respond with a break of their own, but a Yarmolenko delivery is claimed by Hart easily.
Miguel Veloso
D. Harmash
Dynamo Kyiv
Veloso replaces Garmash early on, in what appears to be a tactical switch from Rebrov.
Fernando flattens his man in the middle of the park, with Dynamo continuing to see a lot of the ball but do little with it. Vida darts down the left-hand side and manages to win a corner from Sagna, with Rebrov using the break in play to make a change. The resulting set-piece delivery is helped over the crossbar by Vida and a deflection.
Dynamo look as though they might be forced to make a change already, with there activity on the hosts' bench. Man City continue to look much more dangerous than their opponents, with Pellegrini's key players looking refreshed from their weekend of rest.
Yarmolenko breaks down the right-hand side and gets to the byline, but a sliding challenge from Clichy denies a cross-cum-shot from the Ukraine international! Aguero is the subject of a long pass from his own back four, but the Argentine hasn't quite got the strength nor height to contend aerially with Dragovic. Moments later, Khacheridi makes a great interception to deny Sterling.
Dynamo are being given time on the ball by the visitors, but Rebrov's men have been making some rather risky mistakes whenever they are pressing hard. Teodorczyk looks to equalise with an optimistic long-range shot, but the Polish striker lashes a terrible effort into the stands!
Just wide from Aguero! The Argentine striker is picked out on the edge of the penalty area, after Dynamo lost possession in a dangerous area. The opening goalscorer sets his sights on the far corner, but the ball dips its way just beyond the far upright! Close again for Man City.
Silva spreads play out to Sterling on the left-hand side, with Clichy overlapping well. The ex-Arsenal left-back breaks into the box, before Danilo makes a good sliding tackle to stop the Frenchman in his tracks.
Man City are creating all of the dangerous opportunities, with Hart having had little to do since his early save to deny Yarmolenko. Pellegrini will be pleased that his side have edged ahead, despite not really getting out of first gear.
The away side have themselves an undeserved lead, with Dynamo having the better of possession during the opening stages. The hosts respond by attempting to keep the ball for a while, but ultimately they're creating very little. Shovkovsky comes off his line well to claim a looping delivery into his penalty area.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! AGUERO MAKES IT 1-0! The Argentina international is picked out by a good set-back from Toure, in the aftermath of a corner delivery, with the ex-Atletico Madrid striker able to rifle a neat finish into the back of the net from close range!

Toure guides a loose ball into a dangerous area, with Aguero pouncing upon the opportunity to break the deadlock.
Toure and Aguero combine on the edge of the penalty box, before Vida steps out to make a good interception. Man City keep their pressure on, with Sterling breaking to the left byline, but the England international can only drill a low cross towards Dragovic. The resulting corner is met aerially by the same defender.
The hosts are looking very composed in possession, with Pellegrini's men certainly not looking like favourites at present. Gonzalez feeds a pass into the feet of Teodorczyk, but the Polish forward can then only spin and fire a low drive just shy of the near upright!
Man City have struggled to get hold of the ball early on, with Rebrov's men getting themselves onto the front foot. Teodorczyk hasn't had much good service, but otherwise Dynamo have moved possession fairly well. Aguero has been anonymous.
There's a break in play, with Teodorczyk going down holding his face! The lone home striker gets a liberal amount of ice, with it appearing that Fernandinho caught the Polish forward rather cheaply. The hosts respond with a flowing move from left to right, but a curling cross from Yarmolenko finds the aforementioned Dynamo man in an offside position.
Man City's goal comes under scrutiny first, with the visitors having a slightly cagey start to proceedings in the Ukrainian capital. Toure leads a break for the away side, before feeding possession into Aguero, but the move ends with the aforementioned Ivory Coast international curling a tame shot into Shovkovsky's grasp!
Yarmolenko delivers with his left foot, but his cross is headed back away from danger! The Ukraine international scampers onto the second ball, before forcing Hart to tip a nervy save over his own crossbar! The resulting set-piece is whipped into a dangerous area, but the English goalkeeper punches clear.
Dynamo manage to calm things down initially, with the hosts enjoying a short spell of possession among their back four. Toure gives away a cheap free-kick, after cynically blocking off Garmash, allowing for plenty of white shirts to fill the box.

The home side should be refreshed after an extended winter break, with Dynamo last in competitive action last year. Before have a lengthy breather, however, the hosts had recorded five back-to-back home wins in all competitions. Man City shouldn't expect a walk in the park this evening.
