Commentary

As for Palace, they also could already be safe from relegation but the defeat leaves them in a precarious position. They remain seven points clear of the bottom three ahead of Swansea City's game against Manchester United tomorrow, and their next clash sees them take on Manchester City away from home. It's set to be a nervy few weeks for the Eagles.
The referee blows his whistle for the final time and the Burnley fans all immediately burst into song. It's no wonder why, as their side have finally managed to win a Premier League away game for the first time this season. They certainly deserve to leave with all three points, and the victory is one that could prove to confirm their place in the league next season.
FULL-TIME: CRYSTAL PALACE 0-2 BURNLEY

90' The fourth official has indicated that there will be four minutes of added time.
88' Puncheon steps up and curls the set-piece back into the box, but Keane rises high above a sea of Palace players and does wonderfully well to clear the danger under pressure.
87' Ward flies down the right wing before trying to cut inside, but he's barged to the ground by Flanagan and wins his side a free-kick. It's sent deep and over to Zaha, who unleash a half-volleyed strike that Heaton does well to push out for a corner.
G. Boyd
Assist
85' That was brilliant from Boyd, who defended really well before setting up Gray. The Scotland international has really impressed over on the left flank, where he's performed well at both ends of the pitch.
A. Gray
Goal
85' GOAL! Gray has surely wrapped up the win for Burnley! Another Palace fails to come to anything and allows Burnley to counter quickly. Boyd fires a great pass through the hosts' disjointed back line and towards Gray, who darts into the box before firing a low shot under Hennessey and into the back of the net.
84' Zaha causes problems deep down the left flank as he desperately tries to carve out some space for himself, but he's closed down well by yellow shirts and is easily dispossessed.
82' And now Van Aanholt goes close! The resulting corner pinballs around the penalty area dangerously before bouncing out to Van Aanholt, who immediately rifles a strike towards the roof of the net that sails a few yards over the top of the crossbar.
81' Huge block by Lowton! Remy and Zaha link up well on the edge of the Burnley penalty area before the latter unleashes a rocket of a shot, but Lowton throws his body in front of the effort to stop it from testing Heaton.
A. Gray
A. Barnes

73' Great block by Kelly! Vokes flies into the right-hand side of the Palace penalty area before trying go one-on-one with Hennessey, but Kelly darts back and does really well to dispossess the striker at the vital moment.

69' A low cross from Ward flies into the Burnley box and finds McArthur, who taps the ball over to Zaha and sets up the winger to win another corner for the hosts. However, once again, Burnley have enough bodies back to deal with the danger.

62' Zaha causes plenty of problems deep down the right flank before tangling with Arfield, and once again he wins a free-kick for Palace in a very dangerous position. Townsend whips a great cross towards the back post that looks set to find a team-mate in front of goal, but Lowton is there to clear the danger.
60' Burnley have been on the back foot for most of the half, but they're doing well to counter quickly when opportunities present themselves. Boyd sprints down the left wing and gets himself into a promising position, but he's closed down quickly and can't stop the ball from rolling out for a goal-kick.
58' Boyd has his pocket picked by Townsend, who quickly whips in a cross that's deflected out for a corner by the oustretched foot of Lowton. The two teams are making their way back out on to the pitch ahead of the start of the second half. Neither side have made any substitutions during the half-time break.
So far, so good for Burnley, who find themselves in the rare position of leading away from home at half-time. They've certainly played the better of the two sides and deserve to be in front, mainly thanks to their impressive start to the game. The Palace back line have struggled to deal with the aerial threat posed by Vokes and Barnes, both of whom have absolutely tormented Martin Kelly and Delaney when balls are thumped into the box.

29' Vokes goes close! Another dangerous cross is fired into the Palace penalty area and towards one of the Burnley strikers. It's Lowton's impressive ball that picks out Vokes, and the Welshman's glancing header flies just over the top of the crossbar after leaving Hennessey rooted to the spot.
27' Palace break forward on another dangerous counter-attack, with Townsend running down the pitch with the ball at his feet. His cross into the box is a poor one but eventually finds its way to Zaha, who quickly takes on Keane but can't get the better of the defender near to the byline.

17' Big call by the referee! The two Wards battle one another deep down the left wing, and the result is a Burnley corner. It pinballs around the box dangerously before falling to Barnes, who seems to control he ball with his arm before bundling it past Hennessey and into the back of the net. The striker quickly rushes away to celebrate, but the goal is ruled out after the referee confers with the linesman.
15' Almost a chance for Zaha to equalise! The winger flies through the disjointed Burnley back line and latches on to a clever pass forward from Benteke, but as soon as he takes on Heaton, the linesman's flag is raised for offside.
13' Burnley causes problems for the under-pressure Palace back line once again before a bouncing ball falls to George Boyd. He quickly unleashes a thumping strike from 25 yards out, but it fails to trouble Hennessey and sails high over the top of the crossbar.

S. Ward
Assist
7' The low cross in from Ward was a great one and perfectly picked out Barnes, but Palace should have done a lot better in the build-up. They left the striker all alone and allowed him to easily dart into the penalty area.
A. Barnes

2' The corner initially fails to result in a chance on goal before Christian Benteke gets his head to the ball at the far post, but it's deflected out for another corner. There’s just over 15 minutes left to go until kick-off, so let’s have a look at how the two teams will be lining up this evening…
Burnley are still the only side yet to have won a single game away from home, and no Premier League team has failed to win one in a season since Hull City in the 2009-10 campaign. Their abysmal record away from Turf Moor remains a real concern, and if they aren’t able to improve their record quickly then it could result in them being dragged into a last-minute fight to avoid relegation.
Burnley’s previously impressive home run saw them comfortably shoot away from the relegation zone and into the top half of the table, but it’s been a difficult couple of months for the Clarets, who have managed to win just once in their last 13 league outings. As a result, they now sit in 16th place, dangerously close to the bottom three and in desperate need of a victory.
During that time, Palace have picked up important wins against fellow strugglers whilst also impressing against the big boys. Tottenham Hotspur may have got the better of the them during the week in a nervy affair on this very ground, but Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool have all been beaten in what has been an excellent April for the south London club. They’ll certainly be feeling confident about their chances of winning again today.
After suffering a disappointing start to life under Sam Allardyce, Palace have embarked on a truly meteoric rise to drag themselves away from the relegation zone and towards the top half of the table. Six wins from their previous nine Premier League games means that they now sit seven points clear of the bottom three, and another victory here today will surely all but confirm their place in the top tier for another year.
Good afternoon and welcome to our live text commentary of today’s Premier League game between Crystal Palace and Burnley at Selhurst Park.
