Thanks for your company today. Until next time, goodbye!
Palace will look to build on only their second win in seven games at home to Arsenal in midweek, while Villa aim to respond away at Tottenham.
Tyrick Mitchell was the hero as Palace twice came from behind to take the spoils at Selhurst Park. Villa led 2-1 at the break with first-half goals from John McGinn and Anwar El Ghazi sandwiching Christian Benteke's equaliser. But the hosts responded well in the second half with Wilfried Zaha equalising, before Mitchell snatched the three points six minutes from time with his first senior goal.
90' + 4' Villa have a free-kick in the dying moments at Selhurst Park. One last chance for the visitors...
W. Zaha
Yellow Card
90' + 2' Zaha catches Luiz late and has his name taken by the referee.
90' + 1' We are going to have four minutes of stoppage time at the end of this game.
90' Now 73 years of age, Hodgson said in midweek that he is not planning on retirement just yet. His claims will be strengthened following his team's performance today.
Wesley Moraes
A. El Ghazi
88' Maybe one last throw of the dice from Villa as Wesley comes on in place of El Ghazi.
87' Palace have scored three goals today; more than they had managed across their previous six home games in the Premier League. The Eagles are just three minutes away from maximum points here.
K. Hause
Yellow Card
86' Hause goes into the book for a foul on Zaha.
K. Davis
J. Ramsey
85' Villa turn to the bench with Keinan Davis replacing Ramsey.
T. Mitchell
84' MITCHELL!!! 3-2 PALACE! They lead for the first time! Zaha's low cross is only half-cleared and Eze's scuffed volley bounces kindly for Mitchell, who arrives late at the far post to chest the ball past Martinez for his first senior Palace goal.
82' OFF THE BAR! What an effort by Eze! Receiving the ball on the corner of the penalty area, the former Queens Park Rangers midfielder whips a fierce delivery towards goal. However, he is so unlucky as his shot rattles the crossbar with Martinez struggling.
C. Kouyaté
Yellow Card
82' Kouyate is booked for a foul on Luiz.
81' Great block! A sweeping move and lovely link-up play by Palace culminates in Zaha finding Eze in the box. The midfielder looks to get his shot away, but Konsa denies him with a strong block.
79' As a manager, Hodgson has enjoyed more Premier League wins against Villa than any other side with eight. Can Palace grab a late winner here?
77' It is worth noting that Palace have lost just once in their last 12 home league games against Villa. Their only defeat during that span came courtesy of a 1-0 reverse in December 2014.
W. Zaha
76' ZAHA!!! 2-2! The hosts are level again! Racing onto Eze's long ball down the line, Zaha cuts inside Konsa and his shot deflects off Elmohamady; wrong-footing Martinez and nestling in the back of the net.
E. Eze
76' Eze showed great vision to pick out the run of Zaha with a long ball down the line.
75' Good save! Playing on the shoulder of the last man, Watkins gets in behind the defence and shoots from a tight angle. Butland reacts well to block the shot, although the offside flag had been raised so it would not have counted.
J. Ward
Yellow Card
73' Ward has his name taken for a foul on Grealish.
J. Tomkins
J. McCarthy
73' A change for Palace with James Tomkins replacing McCarthy.
72' The visitors also on course to maintain their 100 per cent record in away league games played on a Sunday this season. They had previously won all three, having previously gone 20 without success.
70' Villa are 20 minutes away from recording their ninth away win in the Premier League this term. You must go back to 2009-10 for the last time they registered that tally in a single campaign.
68' Good block! A weaving run into the area by Eze, who looks to bend one in at the far post. But Hause is well-placed to head his effort away to safety.
66' This is the next step on the road to recovery for Grealish. The Villa skipper made his comeback as a substitute against Everton in midweek, having missed his side's previous 12 games with a shin injury.
J. Grealish
B. Traoré
64' Jack Grealish is given another runout by Smith as he replaces Traore.
62' Good save! El Ghazi whips a dangerous free-kick towards goal from a tight angle. There is plenty of venom in the Dutchman's delivery, and Butland is forced to turn it away from danger.
61' Prior to today, Benteke had attempted 10 shots against Villa without scoring. He had only registered more attempts without success against Manchester City, Watford and Fulham in the Premier League.
59' WHAT A SAVE! Benteke is completely unmarked for a corner and guides his header towards goal. Somehow, Martinez manages to scramble across and just about claw the ball off the line.
58' Palace turning up the pressure and Townsend delivers another inviting cross from the right. Benteke is in there but cannot react quickly enough before Villa cautiously turn it behind for a corner.
56' ATTACK IT! Zaha with his head in his hands as he whips a delicious ball right across the face of goal, only for his team-mates to be flat-footed and not react.
54' Good defending by Villa as the ball is neatly worked for Eze to strike from the edge of the box. Konsa throws himself in the way to block the attempt.
52' Palace must defy the recent history books if they are to take three points today. Since May 2018, they have trailed at half-time in a Premier League game on 32 occasions, and failed to win any of them.
J. McGinn
Yellow Card
50' McGinn goes into the book for a foul on Eze. That is his 10th yellow card of the season.
48' The ball sits up nicely for El Ghazi to try his luck from distance. But the Dutchman drags his volley well wide of the target.
46' Palace get the ball rolling once more in the second half.
As things stand, Palace are on course for a fifth defeat in six games. They will take confidence from their positive spells during that first half, but cannot afford any more lapses in concentration.
Villa lead following an entertaining first half at Selhurst Park. The visitors began brightly and took a deserved lead through John McGinn, but Palace responded well and equalised thanks to Christian Benteke's header. But Dean Smith's side quickly regained their authority on proceedings with Anwar El Ghazi neatly slotting home.
45' + 1' We are into the first of two additional minutes at the end of this first half.
44' In scoring that second goal through El Ghazi, Villa have found the net more than once in an away league game against Palace for the first time since December 1968.
42' Palace look to apply late pressure and force a corner. Following the delivery, the hosts scramble the ball into the path of Zaha, whose shot is well-blocked by Watkins.
40' Villa have certainly wrestled back the momentum as we enter the final five minutes of this first half. Will they press home their advantage?
38' It has been a tremendous response by Villa. They had been on the back foot in the lead-up to the equaliser, but hit back with a vengeance.
36' El Ghazi's ninth Premier League goal of the season is also his seventh away from home. As a result, the Dutchman has equalled his best tally during a single campaign, having also netted seven on the road for Ajax in 2015-16.
O. Watkins
34' Watkins did well to watch the ball drop out of the air, before cushioning it across the area for El Ghazi to finish.
A. El Ghazi
34' EL GHAZI!!! 2-1 VILLA! What a response by the visitors! Kouyate's attempted clearance from McGinn's cross loops high into the air. Watkins gets their first to glance the ball across the area, where an unmarked El Ghazi sweeps past Butland.
T. Mitchell
32' Mitchell was the provider as he neatly sat a cross up to the far post that was begging to be attacked. Benteke duly obliged.
C. Benteke
32' BENTEKE!!! 1-1! Palace has equalised! The Belgian has his first goal against Villa as he towers above Hause to meet Mitchell's cross, and plant his header past the flat-footed Martinez.
30' Villa still a goal to the good as we hit the half-hour mark at Selhurst Park. But Palace have certainly grown and gained a foothold in the contest as the half has gone on.
28' Neat play from Palace sees Benteke hold the ball up and thread it through for Zaha to run onto. The winger fires over from a tight angle, but the referee had already blown his whistle; penalising Benteke for tugging the shirt of Konsa.
26' During the 0-0 draw with Everton in midweek, Martinez equalled a club-record after keeping his 15th clean sheet of the season. The last Villa keeper to achieve that feat was Brad Friedel during the 2009-10 campaign.
24' Good effort! Palace are awarded a free-kick between 25 and 30 yards from goal, and slightly off-centre. Townsend whips a fierce delivery towards the near post, but Martinez gets across well to block.
23' Cahill began his career at Villa, where he came through the ranks before spending a couple of years in the senior side. The centre-half forever etched his name into Villa folklore when he scored a stunning acrobatic volley in a derby victory over Birmingham City in April 2006.
22' Palace looking to respond and Elmohamady can only head Townsend's deep cross into the path of Cahill. The former Villa defender attempts a left-footed volley, but it is always rising.
21' Fair to say Selhurst Park has not been a happy hunting ground for Villa in recent times. In fact, that was only their sixth goal in 16 league visits to Palace.
19' Villa have the lead at Selhurst Park and it had been coming for a while. The visitors have made a positive start to the contest and have edged their noses in front.
J. McGinn
17' McGINN!!! 1-0 VILLA! And they thoroughly deserve their lead! Elmohamady's cross is headed away by Cahill but only as far as McGinn, who beats Butland with a precise first-time finish in off the post from the edge of the box.
16' Villa continue to threaten and Hause gets up well again to meet another corner into the box. However, his header is just wide of the target once more.
15' Good try! Butland called into action as Watkins gets a powerful shot away from just inside the box. The effort would have nestled in the roof of the net had an alert Butland not been on hand to turn it over.
14' The visitors have certainly been the stronger side so far in this game. In fact, they have enjoyed a whopping 71 per cent of the possession inside the opening 15 minutes.
12' Villa have won two of their four Premier League games in London this term. You must go back to the 2008-09 season under Martin O'Neill for the last time they more successful in the English capital.
10' Close! Traore's corner is well-met by the head of Hause. The defender gets up well and makes a good connection, but sees the ball flash just wide of the target.
9' A scorer of 49 goals during his three-year spell with Villa, Benteke has yet to find the net against them in four Premier League appearances since his departure. He went close there.
7' Chance for Benteke, who gets up well to meet a deep cross to the far post. However, he is just unable to keep the header on target against his former club.
6' It has been a positive opening by Villa, who have been strong starters in the Premier League this season. Indeed, they have scored 12 goals in the opening 15 minutes of matches this term; more than any other side.
4' Watkins immediately getting involved following his return from suspension. The former Brentford striker has adapted brilliantly during his maiden Premier League campaign, and he could well be part of Gareth Southgate's England squad at the forthcoming European Championship.
2' Chance! A great ball down the line releases Watkins in space. The striker squares it to the edge of the box, where Ramsey goes for placement but sends his first-time effort wide of the target.
1' The referee blows his whistle and Villa get things underway.
The players are coming out onto the pitch and kick-off is fast approaching.
Palace arrive in this game having lost four of their last five. Can they put their poor run of form behind them and finish the season on a high?
Dean Smith makes four changes from Villa's draw with Everton in midweek. Ollie Watkins returns from suspension to lead the attack, while there is a rare start for youngster Jacob Ramsey. Ahmed Elmohamady and Kortney Hause replace the injured Matty Cash and Tyrone Mings in defence, as Jack Grealish once again starts from the bench.
Roy Hodgson hands a Premier League debut for Palace to Jack Butland in one of five changes from the defeat by Southampton. There are also recalls for Gary Cahill, who skippers the side, James McCarthy, Jeffrey Schlupp and Andros Townsend. Patrick van Aanholt misses out for personal reasons, while illness means Nathaniel Clyne is also absent.
