That's all from us today folks, we hope you enjoyed the game!
This victory moves Chelsea up to seventh in the table and the face Tottenham next time out. Meanwhile Burnley drop to 16th and they welcome Manchester City to Turf Moor on Wednesday.
Chelsea get their first win under Thomas Tuchel with a 2-0 success over Burnley, thanks to goals from Azpilicueta and Alonso. The hosts led 1-0 at the break, with Azpilicueta scoring his first goal in over a year on 40 minutes. Burnley never really got going and only had one chance, which came right at the very end of the game. Meanwhile Chelsea should have scored a few more, with Hudson-Odoi hitting the post, before Alonso wrapped up the win late on with a superb volley.
90' + 5' FULL-TIME: CHELSEA 2-0 BURNLEY
90' + 4' CHANCE! Burnley with an opportunity to pull one back late on, as Tarkowski gets to the ball first from a corner and he powers a header towards goal, but he gets too much on it and it flies over the crossbar. He should be doing better from there.
90' + 2' The opening goal today was Azpilicueta's first goal in the Premier League in over a year, since scoring against Arsenal in January 2020.
90' There will be a minimum of four minutes added time played at the end of the second half.
89' Chelsea seem to be running the clock down now, just taking their time and controlling the ball in midfield and keeping Burnley at bay. It looks like the visitors aren't going to have a single shot on goal today.
87' CHANCE! Mumbongo races through on goal after a high line is played by Chelsea and the striker only has Mendy to beat, but he fires his shot just wide of the near post. However, it wouldn't have counted anyway as the flag then goes up for offside.
86' That should be the three points secured for Chelsea, they are still pushing forward in search of a third goal, but appear to have the game wrapped up.
C. Pulisic
Assist
84' Pulisic went one way and then another, beating Lowton, before chipping the ball in towards Alonso, who produces a brilliant turn and finish to wrap up the win for the hosts.
Marcos Alonso
Goal
84' GOAL! Alonso doubles Chelsea’s lead and makes it 2-0! The left-back has been out of the side for a few months and marks his return with a superb goal. Pulisic chips the ball into the box and Alonso was unmarked, he chests it down, controls it and then volleys it into the back of the net.
82' Havertz spots the run of Werner in behind the Burnley defence and tries to feed him, but Mee gets across in the nick of time and makes the block.
K. Havertz
M. Mount
80' Final Chelsea change now and it is Mount who leaves the pitch and his replacement is Havertz.
78' There's still plenty of time left to play here, can Chelsea extend their lead and see the game out? Or, will Burnley be able to equalise late on?
J. Mumbongo
R. Brady
76' Third and final Burnley substitution now, with Brady the man heading off the pitch and he has been replaced by Mumbongo.
75' SAVE! Pope with a fine save to deny James, who has only just come onto the pitch and he is already involved in the action. The right-back controls the ball and then drills a shot towards the near post, but Pope makes a great stop with his legs to deny Chelsea a second goal.
R. James
C. Hudson-Odoi
73' Another Chelsea change now and it is Hudson-Odoi who is coming off and he is replaced by Reece James.
71' CHANCE! Pulisic arrives late in the box and is found by Hudson-Odoi down the right, who pulls it back to the American, who tries to find the bottom left-hand corner, but he drags his effort just wide of the post.
69' ALMOST! Hudson-Odoi gets down the right wing and drills a superb low cross into the six-yard box, which Mee dives in to try and block but inadvertently sends the ball flying towards his own goal. Pope gets down quickly and makes a superb diving save to push it away to safety.
68' Rodriguez has scored in four of his seven starts against Chelsea in all competitions, netting four goals, though only one of those was scored at Stamford Bridge – for Southampton in a 3-1 defeat in December 2013.
66' Burnley are trying to feed Rodriguez up top, as he seems to have the beating of the Chelsea defenders in the air. In fact, Burnley's best chance of scoring is probably from a set piece.
64' Another Chelsea goal would surely wrap up the three points as they look very comfortable at the moment and Burnley are still yet to test Mendy.
J. Guðmundsson
C. Wood
62' Here is the enforced Burnley substitution, with Wood having to come off and he is replaced by Gudmundsson.
61' It looks like Wood has a problem here, the medical team are on the pitch and he seems to have a muscle injury and may not be able to continue.
A. Westwood
Yellow Card
60' The first yellow card of the game is shown to Westwood after his late challenge on Jorginho in the middle of the pitch. The midfielder protests, but to no avail.
58' OFF THE POST! Almost a second for Chelsea! Another brilliant counter by Chelsea, with Mount feeding Hudson-Odoi to his right, who fires an effort towards the near post, which takes a big deflection off Peters and cannons against the post and then away to safety.
J. Rodriguez
M. Vydra
57' Burnley have made their first change of the game, with Vydra coming off and he has been replaced by Rodriguez.
56' Burnley have only won six points in 13 Premier League matches against Chelsea (W1 D3) but five of those six have been earned at Stamford Bridge, via a win (3-2 in 2017/18) and two draws (1-1 in 2014/15 and 2-2 in 2018/19).
54' It will be interesting to see how long Burnley leave it before making some changes here, as they are struggling to get out of their half and have failed to get anywhere near the Chelsea box.
52' Decent chance! Werner with a good header at the near post, but it doesn't have enough power behind it and Pope makes a comfortable save.
50' VAR CHECK! The officials are looking at a possible Chelsea penalty, after the ball strikes the arm of Mee as he goes to block a cross, but nothing is given as his arm was close to him and there was no intent there.
48' The Burnley front two have hardly touched the ball so far today, as they have been forced to sit deep and defend for the majority of the game. The visitors did come from behind to beat Aston Villa in midweek.
46' The second half is under way!
C. Pulisic
T. Abraham
46' Chelsea have made a substitution ahead of the second half, with Abraham the man coming off and he has been replaced by Pulisic.
Burnley are yet to test Mendy in the Chelsea goal, they have defended well in numbers, but couldn't do anything to stop Azpilicueta and will need to push forward in the second half if they are to get back into the game.
Chelsea lead 1-0 at the break, thanks to a 40th minute goal by Azpilicueta, the first of the Tuchel era at Chelsea. The hosts created a few chances prior to their goal, with Werner and Mount both having opportunities, but the skipper broke the deadlock following a quick counter late on.
45' + 1' HALF-TIME: CHELSEA 1-0 BURNLEY
45' There will be a minimum of one minute added time played at the end of the first half.
44' The hosts are pushing forward in search of another before half-time, with Burnley struggling to get hold of the ball and slow the game down.
42' There’s not long left to play before the end of the first half now, can Chelsea double their lead before the half-time whistle?
C. Hudson-Odoi
Assist
40' Hudson-Odoi could have gone for goal himself as he was in a good position in the box, but instead he lays it out to Azpilicueta who makes no mistakes with the finish.
Azpilicueta
Goal
40' GOAL! Chelsea open the scoring just before the break, Azpilicueta with the goal to send them 1-0 ahead. The hosts catch Burnley out with a quick counter, with Mount racing forward, he lays it off to Hudson-Odoi, who passes to Azpilicueta on the overlap down the right, who then drills it past Pope at the near post and into the back of the net.
38' The pace of the game has dropped slightly in the last few minutes, with Burnley defending quite comfortably and Chelsea are still unable to break them down.
36' Chelsea are winless in three home league games, last having a longer league run without a victory at Stamford Bridge in May 2016 under Guus Hiddink (five games).
34' Poor effort! Another good move after nice link up play between Alonso and Werner, who flicks it to Mount, but his curling strike is way off target and doesn't trouble Pope.
32' We’re past the half an hour mark now and it remains goalless between Chelsea and Burnley, with the hosts having a few chances to open the scoring, but they can't break through the resilient Clarets defence.
30' Good move! Werner drives into the penalty area and gets to the byline, before pulling the ball back to Mount on the edge of the box, who slips as he fires a shot at goal and it flies over the bar.
29' CHANCE! Werner unmarked in the box receives the ball after a good low cross in from Hudson-Odoi, but the striker gets his feet mixed up and can't fire a shot on goal. That looks like a sitter and he should have been scoring from the edge of the six-yard box.
28' Chelsea now have everyone back behind the ball defending, but they just can't get into the final third to test the hosts defence and Mendy is yet to make a save.
26' CHANCE! Alonso is free at the back post after a cross is whipped into the box from the right and the left-back was unmarked, but he can't quite direct his header on target and it flies across goal, with Abraham and Mount unable to get on the end of it.
25' Hudson-Odoi has been lively down the right wing for Chelsea, there have been a few crosses coming out to him and he is enjoying taking on Peters, as there seems to be a lot of space.
23' The visitors have been controlling possession for the last few minutes, they look sharp and are starting to advance into the final third and keep Chelsea back in their own half.
21' Burnley are looking to win three consecutive Premier League games for the first time since April 2019. Meanwhile, the last time they won three consecutive top-flight games all against sides starting the day in the top half of the table was in March 1965.
19' The referee has to speak to Tarkowski and Abraham after the two players clash following a challenge in the middle of the pitch. Just a warning for both players.
18' This is better from Burnley, they are managing to get on the ball and string a few passes together, but it is all in the middle of the pitch and isn't troubling the hosts.
16' CHANCE! Good counter by Chelsea, they catch Burnley out at the back and Mount manages to feed the ball off to Kovacic on the edge of the box, who tries to side foot it into the back of the net. However, it is too close to Pope, who makes a good save.
14' Thiago Silva stays up following a Chelsea corner and he rises above Lowton in the box as a ball is whipped in from the right, but he can only head it over the crossbar.
12' Blocked! Kovavic with a brilliant run from midfield, he gets all the way to box and lays it out to Hudson-Odoi, who cuts inside and then fires a shot towards goal. However, Tarkowski gets across and makes an excellent block.
10' Chelsea have lost one of their 13 Premier League games against Burnley (W9 D3), losing 2-3 on the opening day of the 2017-18 season at Stamford Bridge as reigning champions.
8' Decent chance! Lovely move by Chelsea, with Werner feeding Mount on the edge of the penalty area and he finds a little bit of space and tries to curl the ball into the top right corner. However, he gets too much on it and it flies high over the Burnley goal.
6' Hudson-Odoi finds some good space down the right wing after he is fed by Kovacic, but the cross from the winger is poor and it flies well over the Burnley goal.
5' Burnley are getting into a back five when they are having to defend deep, with the two wingers Brady and McNeil sitting back and helping out.
3' Chelsea with the early possession here, making Burnley sit back and defend early on, but they are getting everyone back and are making it very difficult to find a way through.
1' We're under way!
The teams are out on the pitch and kick-off is just a few minutes away, stay tuned for all the match action!
Sean Dyche has made just two changes to his team that beat Aston Villa in midweek, with Brownhill and Rodriguez dropping out and they have been replaced by Cork and Vydra.
Chelsea have made four changes to their starting line-up, with Alonso, Mount, Abraham and Werner all coming into the side, with Chilwell, Havertz and Giroud dropping to the bench. Hakim Ziyech also misses out.

Chelsea began life under Thomas Tuchel with a goalless draw against Wolves in midweek, following the sacking of Frank Lampard. The Blues progressed to the fourth-round of the FA Cup last weekend, beating Luton 3-1, but suffered a 2-0 defeat against Leicester City prior to that and they are 10th in the table.
