PSG continue their quest to regain their crown as champions of France then. They'll face sterner tests along the way but they're off to an imperious start. That's all for now. Goodbye!
PSG's win takes them top of Ligue 1 with nine points from three games. They're yet to keep a clean sheet this season, but with Neymar and Messi to come in they should have far too much firepower for other teams to handle. Brest stay 12th. They'll surely win again at home soon enough if they play like they did today.
PSG continue their perfect start to their Ligue 1 campaign with a third consecutive win. Even after Gueye scored what proved to be the winner, Brest were eager opponents and caused PSG to wobble when Mounie made it 3-2 with five minutes to go. Ultimately, though, PSG were just too good as Di Maria's lovely goal late on proved.
90' + 4' FULL-TIME: BREST 2-4 PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN
90' + 2' Brest keep on trying but they have to know now that the jig is up. Kimpembe hands the hosts one last corner. Faivre finds Magnetti who blazes over from distance. That's it!
A. Hakimi
Assist
90' + 1' Hakimi's pass to Di Maria was lovely but Di Maria's finish was perfect. It had shades of his goal against Leicester during his Manchester United days.
Á. Di María
Goal
90' GOAL! BREST 2-4 PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN! Di Maria finally sees off Brest after a fast counter-attack! Brest's corner comes to nothing and PSG find themselves three-on-one. Hakimi floats a pass to Di Maria who dinks the ball over Bizot from outside the box.
89' PSG are hanging on as things stand! Uronen chances his arm from range and fires wide. Honorat sends in another decent cross and Diallo blocks Mounie's header in the centre of the box. Brest get another corner.
88' We're in for a frantic end to the game. Bizot gets low to save Di Maria's shot towards the bottom right corner before Honorat coaxes Diallo into conceding a corner. PSG see it out and counter but Draxler's offside from Di Maria's throughball.
A. Kalimuendo-Muinga
M. Icardi
86' Icardi, meanwhile, trudges off for PSG after taking a slight knock in the run-up to Mounie's goal. Kalimuendo-Muinga comes on for him.
J. Duverne
R. Pierre-Gabriel
85' Brest make another change. Their captain Duverne comes on for Pierre-Gabriel.
R. Faivre
Assist
85' That's Faivre's second assist of the game at a crucial time for Brest. PSG are in for a rocky last few minutes.
S. Mounié
Goal
85' GOAL! BREST 2-3 PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN! Faivre beats Hakimi to send a dangerous cross in from the left. Mounie controls the ball with his chest and rifles it past Navas.
83' M'Bock's loose touch goes unpunished by PSG and Brest stream forward again. It's bad for PSG because...
Á. Di María
K. Mbappé
81' PSG make another change. Di Maria takes Mbappe's place.
80' To their credit, Brest haven't given up. PSG still need to be careful as one goal for Brest could make the last few minutes very uncomfortable for them.
78' Chance for Brest! Honorat, PSG's nemesis all game, cuts a cross back from the byline for Pierre-Gabriel who somehow finds himself in the centre of the box! Pierre-Gabriel's shot is straight at Navas and Navas makes the expected stop. Honorat tries following up by shooting from a tight angle but it fizzes harmlessly through to the other side of the box.
76' It feels like a comeback is beyond Brest now but they could yet get a consolation goal. PSG have just shown more quality going forward.
74' Le Douaron gets involved in the action straight away, firing over from outside the box from Bizot's long ball forward.
J. Le Douaron
I. Cardona
74' Cardona also heads off for Brest. He's replaced by Le Douaron.
H. Magnetti
H. Belkebla
74' Brest respond by making changes. Magnetti comes on for Belkebla.
Ander Herrera
Assist
73' Herrera gets the assist with a simple pass but that goal was all about Gueye's shot. It had just enough power and dip to beat Bizot.
I. Gueye
Goal
73' GOAL! BREST 1-3 PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN! A fantastic Gueye goal surely seals the win for PSG. Brest clear PSG's corner but the visitors regroup and Gueye belts an powerful shot towards the top left corner from way out. Bizot gets a hand to it but is unable to stop it from going in.
J. Draxler
M. Verratti
72' PSG make the game's first substitution. Verratti makes way for Draxler.
71' PSG get another corner off Uronen, their ninth of the match. They'll make a change first.
69' PSG's possession is still hovering at around 77 per cent. Brest aren't seeing much of the ball but they're looking direct and threatening on the rare occasions they do have it.
67' Herrera gives the ball away to M'Bock and promptly scythes the midfielder down. Brest take the free-kick quickly and Cardona is suddenly through on goal! He should score but Navas rushes out to close down the angle and makes a vital block. It turns out Cardona is just offside, but PSG have been warned.
K. Mbappé
Yellow Card
65' Mbappe gets a yellow card for the challenge. The France star looks perplexed. Honorat soon gets to his feet.
64' Honorat goes down holding his foot after Mbappe catches him with a high challenge just as he looked to fire a cross-field ball.
63' Herrera swings a pass into Brest's box from deep. There's nothing that Icardi or Mbappe can do with it though.
61' PSG come forward again and Hakimi's cross goes out for a corner. Mbappe's delivery doesn't amount to much but PSG retain possession.
59' PSG swing the free-kick in from wide and Brest manage to survive. This game is still very much in PSG's hands but they're looking slightly less comfortable than they did in the first half.
57' Icardi connects with Hakimi's cross in with his head but not enough to threaten Bizot. Gueye nips in to steal the ball from Brest's right-back Pierre-Gabriel but is quickly brought down by the defender. The referee gives the free-kick to boos from the crowd.
55' PSG are getting slightly sloppy in their passing, and it's emboldening Brest. Brest enjoy their first spell of possession for a while to send Honorat racing down the right. Once more, PSG just about deal with the winger's fizzed cross.
53' PSG make a hash of the free-kick and Brest look to counter. Verratti blocks Faivre's run to fury from the crowd.
M. Verratti
Yellow Card
53' Verratti's cynical challenge earns him a yellow card. PSG plead his innocence but the referee disagrees.
L. Brassier
Yellow Card
52' Brassier receives the game's first yellow card for that challenge on Icardi.
51' PSG are showing no signs of losing focus at the moment. Brassier slides in on Icardi and will be shown a card of some kind.
49' Honorat makes a nuisance of himself down Brest's right again, reaching the byline to cross. PSG cut this particular cross of his out with ease.
48' PSG earn a second corner in quick succession as Brest block Mbappe's long-range effort. This time Hakimi cuts inside on his left foot and rifles an effort safely into the arms of Bizot.
47' Faivre shoots speculatively from outside the box and hits a PSG defender. PSG resume where they left off as Hakimi's cross is poked out for a corner.
45' Brest get the second half started. Neither side has made changes at the break.
PSG had 10 shots to Brest's three in the opening 45 minutes. Brest have done well to keep the score down, though, and that will give them a chance in the second half. The hosts will have to hope that PSG switch off again like they did for Honorat's goal. PSG, of course, will be in no mood to do so.
PSG are on top as the teams head in for the half-time break. The visitors have dictated the game from the off, going 2-0 up thanks to goals by Herrera and Mbappe. However, Brest aren't down and out yet, having kept working to pull a goal back through the lively Honorat.
45' + 1' HALF-TIME: BREST 1-2 PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN
45' There'll be one minute of additional time in this first half. PSG earn one more corner before half-time and Brest defend it well.
44' Before kick-off, Honorat was the player who has started the most sequences ending with a shot in Ligue 1 this season. If Brest are to end their winless streak at home, the winger will surely be key to achieving it.
R. Faivre
Assist
43' Faivre showed great awareness to spot Honorat's run rather than going for goal himself. The way he did it was lovely too. It's given Brest a lifeline in game where they've been largely second-best so far.
F. Honorat
Goal
42' GOAL! BREST 1-2 PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN! Mounie scampers down the left and waits for support. The forward lays off to Faivre who finds Honorat racing into the box to his right with a lovely backheel. Honorat fires low across Bizot and into the far bottom corner.
40' The Brest fans cry foul as Mounie chests the ball down and is charged down by Verratti. Brest get the free-kick but manage to do nothing with it.
38' All Brest can do is keep trying to stem the PSG tide. Mbappe darts inside from the left and blasts an effort over the crossbar.
K. Mbappé
Goal
36' GOAL! BREST 0-2 PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN! Kehrer's header down in the box is hit on the volley by Wijnaldum into a Brest defender. The ball rises nicely for Mbappe who races onto the scene to power a header past Bizot.
35' PSG are in total control of this game. Brest can barely get out of their own half.
33' PSG almost double their lead as Hakimi goes for goal from a similarly tight angle to the one Mbappe shot from earlier. Again, Bizot is equal to it, pushing the effort aside. Honorat is fouled by Gueye on the follow-up, bailing Brest out of trouble.
31' PSG get a corner as Chardonnet blocks Mbappe's shot in the centre of the box. Brest clear.
29' The Brest fans break into applause when encouraged by the big screen in the stadium. Brest aren't playing too badly but they've lacked quality when they've made into the final third.
27' Honorat carries Brest forward again with a darting run down the right but Mounie's hold-up play is too slow to trouble PSG.
25' You can't really begrudge PSG their early lead. Brest will be disappointed with the nature of the goal but everyone knows that PSG are clinical. The visitors have the best shot conversion in Ligue 1 so far this season.
Ander Herrera
Goal
23' GOAL! BREST 0-1 PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN! Mbappe's high cross is headed out as far as Herrera who smacks it opportunistically on the half-volley from range. The shot catches Bizot off guard and bounces into the net. It's a tame opener for Brest to concede.
21' PSG have had the lion's share of possession as you'd expect. They've had 79 per cent of the ball so far. Brest are giving this a go though.
19' Honorat gets loose to fire in a promising low cross from the right. Mounie latches onto it and shoots but PSG soon pull themselves together to block and Kehrer pumps it clear.
17' Brest earn a free-kick not far from PSG's box as Herrera clips Cardona. The crowd's ire helps the referee makes his decision. Unfortunately for the hosts M'Bock's free-kick is way over.
15' PSG get a corner down their right which they take short. They quickly work it to Verratti who's unmarked in the box. The Italian skies his effort and shakes his head in disgust. Brest gave Verratti way too much time to shoot there.
14' Icardi gets on the end of a floated ball into the box and nods it into the turf. It bounces up nicely for Bizot to leap down and catch it.
13' Brest try to launch a counter-attack down their left but Cardona is unable to keep the ball in play. They'll need to be better than that to create chances against this PSG side.
11' Brest are chasing shadows at the moment. Kehrer goes for goal from distance as space opens up in front of him but the German's effort fizzes way over.
9' PSG win a corner down their left. Mbappe swings it in and Bizot confidently punches it away.
7' Brest have almost everyone back in their own half, which is unsurprising given the talent at PSG's disposal. PSG are patiently circulating the ball, waiting for an opportunity to present itself.
5' Brest look up for this as they have a cross blocked from the right. The hosts switch the play to Cardona but his volleyed cross back across the penalty area floats harmlessly out for a goal-kick.
4' Brest don't fully clear the ball following Mbappe's chance and Uronen hands PSG the first corner of the game. The hosts manage to deal with it eventually.
3' PSG pop the ball around with their usual panache and Herrera has a shot blocked from outside the box. Verratti soon slides in Mbappe down the right. Mbappe forces a smart block from Bizot from a tight angle.
1' PSG get this game started in a lively Stade Francis-Le Ble!
The players are out on the pitch here in Brest. The air hangs heavy with the smoke from flares. Brest will play in their typical red and white home colours. PSG are wearing their usual blue.
Brest are winless in their last 19 Ligue 1 games against PSG, having lost their last seven in a row, their worst run against the same opponent in the top flight. Only Angers and Metz are currently on a worse run of losses to the same opponent, also PSG. There's little prospect of an upset, then, but Brest fans can dream, right?
Brest boss Michel Der Zakarian makes one change to his team from their 1-1 draw with Rennes here last time out as Belkebla replaces Magnetti in midfield. There are two changes to PSG from their 4-2 win over Strasbourg. Verratti and Gueye come in for Ebimbe and Draxler.
SUBS: Nathan Bitumazala, Eric Ebimbe, Angel Di Maria, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Julian Draxler, Arnaud Kalimuendo Muinga, Rafinha, Marquinhos, Danilo Pereira.
PSG (4-3-1-2): Keylor Navas; Achraf Hakimi, Thilo Kehrer, Presnel Kimpembe (c), Abdou Diallo; Idrissa Gueye, Marco Verratti, Ander Herrera; Georginio Wijnaldum; Mauro Icardi, Kylian Mbappe.
SUBS: Julien Faussurier, Romain Philippoteaux, Noah Sow, Jeremy Le Douaron, Axel Camblan, Hugo Magnetti, Gautier Larsonneur, Denys Bain, Jean-Kevin Duverne.
BREST (4-2-3-1): Marco Bizot; Ronael Pierre-Gabriel, Brendan Chardonnet (c), Lilian Brassier, Jere Uronen; Haris Belkebla, Hianga'a M'Bock; Franck Honorat, Romain Faivre, Irvin Cardona; Steve Mounie.
Brest won't relish a visit by title favourites PSG, then, who have a 100 per cent record early on. Mauricio Pochettino's team are unbeaten in their last nine Ligue 1 games, the longest current unbeaten run in the league, and are on their longest unbeaten run away from home since 2018-19. Even though they're still without Lionel Messi, they're still very good.
Brest remain unbeaten in Ligue 1 this season after picking up two draws in their first two games. They'll be focused on getting back to winning ways at home though, having failed to win their last six league games here at the Stade Francis-Le Ble. It certainly isn't for lack of trying as only Clermont have registered more shots on target than the Bretons so far.
Hello! Welcome to our live text commentary of this Ligue 1 match between Brest and Paris Saint-Germain at Stade Francis-Le Ble, Brest.
