That is all for tonight folks, thanks for joining us. Goodbye!
Bochum should take plenty of confidence from tonight's game as they try to climb the 2. Bundesliga table. They are flirting with relegation, but they showed they have enough about them to survive. Bayern extend their winning run to three matches, and they are next in action against Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday.
Bayern manage to avoid extra-time and penalties thanks to two goals inside just six minutes. Some of Bochum's players are in tears as they were so close to securing a huge upset in the DFB Pokal. Davies' own goal in the first half had the home fans dreaming, but Kovac's subs worked to perfection. Gnabry got the ball rolling when he fired home Kimmich's cross before Muller tapped in from close range. Bayern had a one-man advantage for three minutes after Bella-Kotchap was sent to the stands and his dismissal was the straw that broke the camel's back. Bayern advance by the skin of their teeth tonight!
90' Two minutes of stoppage time...
90' TACKLE!!!! Bochum throw everyone forward as they try to draw level and force the game into extra-time. Ganvoula races in behind the Bayern defence and looks ready to shoot but Boateng gets there just in time, and Neuer dives on the ball. Superb defending!
T. Müller
89' GOAAALLLLLLLL BOCHUM 1-2 BAYERN - Muller fires the visitors into the lead after an excellent team move. Kovac's side unleashed a quick attack down the left before Coman was picked out at the back post and the winger decided to cut the ball back for Muller. The fan favourite stayed onside and backheeled his effort past Riemann and into the back of the net.
K. Coman
89' Assist Kingsley Coman
A. Bella-Kotchap
Red Card
88' RED CARD!!! Bella-Kotchap is sent to the stands and he can have no complaints after a clumsy touch. The centre-back turned away from Muller and tried to find Riemann but he kicked thin air and fell over the ball. With Muller coming towards him, he handled possession and brought down the Germany international. He had to go and Bochum are down to 10.
85' CLOSE! Gnabry goes close again as he latches onto a pass and drills a shot towards goal but Riemann tips it over for a corner.
J. Kimmich
83' Kimmich has been quiet tonight, but he deserves plenty of praise for that run and cross. His pass was perfect for Gnabry who made no mistake!
S. Gnabry
83' GOAAAALLLLLL BOCHUM 1-1 BAYERN!!!! Gnabry is the man of the moment as he stays calm when picked out in the box. Right-back Kimmich found him and the former Arsenal man smashed the ball into the bottom corner. Game on!
82' Into the final few minutes and Bochum's players continue to look tired! Can they hang on?
80' CHANCE! The home fans go wild as Neuer is caught off his line after making an ambitious pass down field. Blum decided to try his luck with a left-footed volley, but Neuer got back in time to catch his strike.
J. Osei-Tutu
S. Zoller
78' Zoller makes way for Osei-Tutu and he is given a huge round of applause. His night could have been so different, had he scored in the first minute.
75' Bochum have lost the last five meetings between the two teams. Their previous success came in 2004 when they recorded a 1-0 win in the Bundesliga.
73' Bayern are getting closer and closer but Riemann has still not made a save in this second half.
71' Ganvoula appears to be fouled as he tries to race onto a throughball. The referee says play on, and he is met by a chorus of boos!
68' CHANCE!!! Lewandowski shows how dangerous he can be as he latches onto a cross but somehow heads wide. The forward met the ball perfectly, but he puts too much power on his shot, and it flies past the far post.
M. Wintzheimer
Lee Chung-Yong
67' Lee has worked tremedously hard but his night is over as Wintzheimer replaces him.
T. Müller
C. Tolisso
65' Kovac makes his final change as Muller comes on and Tolisso makes way.
63' Bochum's bench looks busy at the moment, and we may be about to see their first substitution.
61' Bayern are now starting to dictate possession and Bochum's players will no doubt be feeling the pressure as they try to record a famous victory.
59' While Bochum still have the lead, they have created no chances since the start of the second half.
Philippe Coutinho
L. Goretzka
57' Kovac now makes a change in the middle of the park as Coutinho replaces Goretzka.
55' After firing into his own net in the first half, Davies has become the first Bayern player to score an own goal in the DFB Pokal since Schwarzenbeck in Cologne 47 years ago.
53' Bayern are showing signs of nerves as Boateng plays a simple pass straight into touch. Bochum's fans are loving this at present!
51' Muller is now out warming up, and another Bayern sub could be just around the corner.
A. Losilla
Yellow Card
50' Bochum skipper Losilla is shown a yellow card after he leaves a leg in when trying to stop Goretzka from getting to the ball.
47' With Poland international Lewandowski now on the field, it means Gnabry will switch to the right-wing. Bayern need to try and play off the former Borussia Dortmund man and bring their midfielders into the game.
R. Lewandowski
I. Perišić
46' Kovac has seen enough and he brings on Lewandowski for Perisic at half-time.
46' We are back underway!
With Lewandowski, Muller, Coutinho and Alaba on the bench, Kovac knows he has plenty of firepower, but he will want to keep his team fresh for upcoming challenges. The current XI should be good enough to get through this tie, but Bochum look hungrier and quicker when it matters.
The 2. Bundesliga side claim a surprising lead at the break after Davies' own goal 10 minutes from half-time. Bochum have shown Bayern no respect, and they have been at the races from the first whistle. Kovac's men did enjoy a spell of possession once they had settled down, but the opening goal came against the run of play. Blum deserves the assist after a fine first 45 minutes, and the home fans can now dream of a shock win in the DFB Pokal.
45' One minute of stoppage time...
43' The home fans breathe a sigh of relief as Gnabry breaks through on goal and just misses the target. However, he was flagged offside, and Bochum can clear their lines with the upcoming free-kick.
42' Bochum continue to pile bodies forward, and Bayern look a little stunned at the moment. Gnabry has barely touched the ball and Kovac may need to consider changes at the break.
39' Just six minutes to go until half-time and rather than defending their lead, Bochum are on the attack.
37' What a game we now have on our hands. Bayern were in control and looking ready to take the lead, they now trail and have it all to do against Bochum.
A. Davies
Own Goal
36' GOAAALLLLL!!!! BOCHUM 1-0 BAYERN - The home side take the lead, and it will go down as a Davies own goal. Blum created the chance with another determined run down the left, and his cross was intended for Ganvoula at the back post. The striker's presence worried Davies, and he got his legs in a tangle before turning the ball into his own net.
33' Boos ring around Vonovia Ruhrstadion, with Bochum's fans starting to lose their patience with referee Robert Schroder. They believe Bayern are flying into tackles, but his cards remain in his pocket.
Lee Chung-Yong
Yellow Card
30' Lee is the first man in the referee's book after he clipped Coman while the Bayern ace made his way to goal. He denied making contact, but the officials are adamant and wave away his protests.
27' Riemann is on hand once again to deny the visitors after another good attack from the reigning champions. Davies was given the go-ahead to push forward, and he picked up possession on the edge of the box before trying to curl his shot into the far corner. While he got it on target, his strike lacked power and that allowed Riemann to dive to his left and collect.
24' Thiago is now orchestrating Kovac's side around the park, and Bochum need to try and mark him before he picks a defence-splitting pass.
22' Bayern have now had over 60 per cent possession during this DFB Pokal tie. They have now grown into the contest and look set to dominate until half-time.
20' Blum and Zoller have looked sharp down both flanks for Bochum, but they have a real battle on their hands to get past Kimmich and Davies.
18' Reis' men deal with the corner, but the momentum is now firmly with Bayern.
17' SAVE! Bayern win a corner after Riemann reaches towards the crossbar to deny Tolisso. The midfielder sneaked into the box and tried his luck with a half volley but the Bochum keeper deals with it.
15' CHANCE!! Bayern create their first chance of the night and Coman is the man that comes within a whisker of giving them the lead. The winger received the ball on the left-wing and did well to cut into the box, but he blazed his shot over the crossbar.
13' Bayern are starting to win the ball higher up the pitch but Tolisso, Thiago and Goretzka have yet to start controlling the midfield battle.
10' The gulf in class is visible when Bochum try to play through midfield, but they continue to fly into tackles and play at a high tempo.
8' Bayern win a free-kick after Gnabry is tripped by Blum, but it is nearly the halfway line, and Bochum should be under no pressure.
6' Bayern have not been given time to settle into this tie just yet. Bochum are in their faces immediately, and the home fans are loving the intensity!
4' Blum has been busy inside the first few minutes, and he forces a save out of Neuer after another powerful run towards the box. The midfielder was given too much space, but his shot needed more power, and it remains goalless.
2' Bayern nearly respond within seconds as Gnabry goes down in the box, but the officials say it was a fair challenge!
2' WHAT A CHANCE!! Bochum break down the left-wing and catch Bayern out and Zoller bursts into the box to try and tap home a cross. The winger opens his body to try and place his right-footed shot into the corner, but he slices his effort and Bayern can restart from a goal-kick.
1' We are underway, Bochum in white and blue, Bayern in all red!
The two teams are in the tunnel, and both sets of fans are doing all they can to out-sing each other. We are just minutes away from kick-off.
Bochum coach Thomas Reis makes four changes to the side that lost 2-1 to Holstein Kiel last time out as Kotchap, Tesche, Lee, Zoller replace Lorenz, Eisfeld, Weilandt, Maier.  Bayern beat Union Berlin 2-1 in their last league game, and Niko Kovac decides to rest Muller, Coutinho and Lewandowski, with Tolisso, Goretzka and Gnabry all coming into the starting XI.
