Commentary

That's all from us today folks, we hope you enjoyed the game!
Juventus finish top of Group D with 16 points and they will be joined by Atletico Madrid in the round of 16. Meanwhile, Leverkusen will enter the Europa League. The Italian side will now hope to get back to winning ways in Serie A as they face Udinese at the weekend, while Leverkusen travel to Cologne.
Juventus end the group stages of the Champions League with a 2-0 victory over Bayer Leverkusen, thanks to second half goals from Ronaldo and Higuain. It took a while for the game to get going, but Juve finally got the breakthrough goal on 75 minutes, with Dybala setting up Ronaldo for a tap-in just a few yards out. Dybala turned provider for the second goal as well, playing a quick one-two with Higuain, who then drilled the ball into the bottom corner from the edge of the penalty area.

90' + 3' Late substitution for Juventus, with Cuadrado replaced by Muratore.
G. Higuaín
Goal
90' + 2' GOOOAAALLL! Higuain doubles his sides lead and makes it 2-0 late on! The striker plays a quick one-two with Dybala on the edge of the penalty area and then lashes the ball into the bottom right-hand corner of the net, giving Hradecky no chance of saving that.
90' There will be a minimum of FOUR minutes added time played.
89' CHANCE! Aranguiz goes close to curling the ball into the bottom right-hand corner of the net, after Juventus fail to deal with a cross into the box. Danilo messes up his clearance and it falls to Aranguiz, but he puts the ball wide under good pressure from Dybala.
87' The home supporters have kept the volume levels high all night, they've remained behind their side despite the scoreline and qualification falling out of their grasp.
B. Matuidi
A. Rabiot
85' Another Juventus change, with Rabiot replaced by Matuidi in midfield.
84' Juventus are allowing Leverkusen to keep the ball now and pass it around the pitch at their own pace, they look content with a 1-0 victory away from home.
K. Volland
L. Alario
82' Leverkusen make their third and final substitution, with Alario coming off the pitch and he has been replaced by Volland.
81' Juventus are unbeaten in this season’s Champions League (W4 D1), winning the last four in a row – they last avoided defeat in the whole group stage in a single campaign back in 2016-17, when they eventually reached the final, losing to Real Madrid.
79' It's a lot more open now, with Juventus opening up the game and playing more freely now that they know they have the advantage. Leverkusen look short of ideas.
77' That should be Leverkusen knocked out of the competition now, they need to score at least two goals and hope Atletico lose their two goal lead.
P. Dybala
Assist
75' Dybala shows great quality to time the pass into the middle for Ronaldo, finally showing some quality with the pass in the final third.
Cristiano Ronaldo
Goal
75' GOOOAAALLL! Juventus finally get the breakthrough goal and they lead 1-0! Dybala is played through on goal deep down the left and he squares the ball into the penalty area for Ronaldo, who was sprinting up alongside him and he just taps the ball in from a couple of yards out.
73' The pace of the game has certainly picked up in the last few minutes, but we're still lacking any goalmouth action at either end of the pitch.
71' Juventus have only won one of their last seven matches away to German clubs in the Champions League (D2 L4), a 3-0 win at Borussia Dortmund in March 2015.
69' The main front three of Ronaldo, Higuain and Dybala are now on the pitch, can they open up this resilient Leverkusen defence?
67' Almost! Hradecky gets to the ball just in time as a long lofted pass is played over the top of the Leverkusen defence, he punches it clear just before Ronaldo gets on the end of it.
P. Dybala
F. Bernardeschi
66' Juventus respond by making a substitution of their own and it's Bernardeschi coming off and he has been replaced by Dybala.
L. Bailey
K. Bellarabi
66' The second Leverkusen change sees Bellarabi replaced by Bailey.
J. Baumgartlinger
K. Demirbay
66' Leverkusen make a double substitution now, with Demirbay the first player coming off and he has been replaced by Baumgartlinger.
63' Lars Bender goes for goal from a tight angle and it takes a big deflection as it flies towards goal, but this takes the pace off the shot and Buffon makes a comfortable save.
61' Still no signs of any changes for either team here, we're an hour in now and it remains 0-0 at the BayArena.
59' It looks like Leverkusen are trying to break forward on the counter here, with Juve seeing more of the ball, but they aren't doing much with it in the final third.
57' The chances of Leverkusen qualifying from the group have decreased further now, as Atletico are 2-0 up in the other game in Group D.
55' Sarri has won his last four games in the Champions League, one more victory than he registered in his previous 13 in the competition (W3 D3 L7). The last Italian manager to win five in a row in the competition was then Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri in April 2017.
53' Juventus are the side on top at the moment, keeping the ball well, but it's all in the middle of the pitch as Leverkusen are pressing high and not allowing them time and space.
51' GOAL RULED OUT! Ronaldo has the ball in the back of the net, but it's instantly ruled out for offside. Bernardeschi couldn't play the ball through the Leverkusen backline quickly enough and Ronaldo is caught offside. However, it was a lovely finish by the striker, slotting the ball into the bottom right-hand corner.
50' Good Juve counter! Bernardeschi breaks free down the right wing and he should look up and cross to Ronaldo, who was in so much space, but the winger doesn't look up and spot him. Ronaldo is furious with his team-mate.
48' Another foul by Rabiot that doesn't get punished with a yellow card, it's a very late challenge on Bellarabi and he's certainly lucky not to be booked there.
46' The second half is under way!
Leverkusen know that they need to win this game and hope that Lokomotiv Moscow can comeback against Atletico, as the Spanish side are currently leading 1-0 at the break.
It's goalless at the break between Bayer Leverkusen and Juventus, a game that has struggled to get going at times and is fairly even, but the hosts have had the better chances to score. Diaby has gone the closest for Leverkusen, striking the post from long range, before Bellarabi and the Havertz went close later on. Meanwhile for Juve, they are struggling to get out of second gear, with Ronaldo and Higuain not involved too much and they haven't yet forced Hradecky in the Leverkusen goal to make a save.
45' HALF-TIME: BAYER LEVERKUSEN 0-0 JUVENTUS
44' CHANCE! Havertz is played through on goal by Bellarabi after the visitors lose the ball around 30 yards out, straight from a goal-kick and Leverkusen have a chance to score. However, the striker takes too long on the ball and Demiral does brilliantly to slide in and block the shot. Goal saving tackle.
43' Despite needing to win this game, Leverkusen aren't really testing Juventus and they don't look close to scoring, with all of their efforts coming from long range, which are comfortable for Buffon.
41' There's not too long left to play before the half-time whistle now, can either side break the deadlock before the end of the first half?
39' Lars Bender is down receiving some medical treatment now after a challenge from Bernardeschi, the Juve man just slides in slightly too late and catches the hosts skipper. However, it looks like he will be fine to continue.
38' Ronaldo has scored 27 goals in 24 Champions League appearances against German clubs; the most a single player has accumulated against sides from a particular nation in the competition’s history.
36' CHANCE! Higuain turns Lars Bender on the edge of the penalty area and then just has Hradecky to beat in the Leverkusen goal, but he lashes the ball high over the crossbar from 12 yards out. He should've done better there.
34' Juventus aren't showing any urgency to go and attack here, slowing the pace down when in possession. They don't have to win here as they are already guaranteed top spot.
32' Ronaldo feels like he is fouled in the middle of the Leverkusen half and wants a free-kick, but nothing is given and the striker isn't best pleased.
30' As we pass the half an hour mark here at the BayArena, it remains goalless between Bayer Leverkusen and Juventus, with a few goalscoring chances for both teams, but it's the hosts who have gone the closest, by striking the post through Diaby.
28' The other game in Group D is between Atletico Madrid and Lokomotiv Moscow, with the Spanish side leading 1-0, which means they will go through to the knockout stages alongside Juventus as it stands.
26' Apart from the chance earlier on, Higuain and Ronaldo haven't been heavily involved for Juventus so far, with the visitors struggling to keep the ball for the large part.
24' Juventus have only won one of their last seven matches away to German clubs in the Champions League (D2 L4), a 3-0 win at Borussia Dortmund in March 2015.
22' SAVE! Buffon is called into action to deny Bellarabi after he drills a powerful effort towards the Juve goal from the edge of the penalty area, but it was slightly too close to Buffon, but he still had to make a good save.
21' Not too far away! Ronaldo manages to find a little bit of space inside the box and drills a lot shot towards the far post, but Hradecky allows it to go wide. Just a few seconds later Cuadrado also goes close, but from the edge of the box instead.
19' There is a cracking atmosphere here inside the BayArena, with the home supporters making a huge amount of noise and whistling every time Juventus get on the ball.
17' Stoppage in play here as Bernardeschi is down after an aerial collision with Aranguiz and the hosts put the ball out of play so he can recover. No foul is given and the medical team don't need to come onto the pitch.
15' Alario is the latest player to try and test Buffon, but his header is weak and the Juve keeper comfortably gathers to his left.
13' The game has certainly livened up in the last five minutes or so, with Leverkusen the team on top at the moment and they look very strong in attack.
11' OFF THE POST! Diaby with a superb strike, but it hits the outside of the post and goes wide! The winger cuts inside from the left wing and then unleashes a powerful strike towards Buffon's goal and the keeper wasn't getting anywhere near it. However, luckily for Juve, it strikes the woodwork.
10' ALMOST! Higuain is played through on goal and just has Hradecky to beat from a tight angle, but he instead decides to square the ball across to Ronaldo who was up alongside him. However, his pass has slightly too much on it and Ronaldo just can't quite get a toe to it and poke it into the back of the net.
10' Decent effort! Leverkusen pick up the pace of their attack and work it well into the penalty area, Juve clear the initial ball and it then falls to Demirbay on the edge of the box, but his volley flies just wide of Buffon's goal.
9' The side playing at home has won all three previous Champions League meetings between Bayer Leverkusen and Juventus, with the hosts winning their only such match on home soil 3-1 in March 2002 en route to the final that season.
7' Both teams are trying to play out from the back, despite the high press from both attackers, which is leading to a few mistakes in the final third. Pjanic tries to square the ball, but it gets cut out on the edge of the box, but luckily it flies out of play.
5' Both teams are just trying to settle into possession at the moment, Juve are enjoying more of the ball in the middle of the pitch, but the likes of Higuain and Ronaldo are yet to get involved.
3' Poor tackle! Rabiot is lucky to get away with just a warning for a high challenge on Havertz, his boot striking the mid-drift of the Leverkusen man.
2' Good cross! The hosts get forward quickly down the right and Bellarabi whips a lovely low ball into the penalty area, but none of his team-mates are on the same wavelength and the chance goes away.
1' We're under way!
The teams are out on the pitch and kick off is just a few minutes away, stay tuned for all of the match action!
Meanwhile Juve make six changes to their team to the side that were beaten by Lazio, with Bonucci, Matthijs De Ligt, Sandro, Rodrigo Betancur, Matuidi and Dybala all dropping out of the team. Danilo, Demiral, Rugani, De Sciglio, Rabiot and Higuain come into the side.
Leverkusen make three changes from their starting XI that featured against Schalke at the weekend, with Wendell, Baumgartlinger and Bailey all dropping out of the side and they have been replaced by Sinkgraven, Diaby and Demirbay.
JUVENTUS SUBS: Paulo Dybala, Leonardo Bonucci, Wojciech Szczesny, Blaise Matuidi, Alex Sandro, Manolo Portanova, Simone Muratore.
