Commentary

Thank you for joining our coverage, we hope you enjoyed the game. Until next time, goodbye!
Augsburg visit Wolfsburg next, while Bayern travel to Greece to face Olympiacos in the Champions League before hosting Union Berlin.
There goes the full-time whistle! Augsburg hold Bayern to a shock draw after opening the scoring inside 30 seconds, before Lewandowski's header and Gnabry's fine strike pegged them back. However, Finnbogason's tap-in in stoppage time stunned the reigning champions and salvaged a late point! Bayern miss out on the opportunity to leapfrog Gladbach at the top of the table and remain in third. It finishes 2-2!
90' + 4' FULL-TIME: AUGSBURG 2-2 BAYERN MUNICH
T. Koubek
Yellow Card
90' + 4' Koubek is booked for time-wasting as he looks to see out this precious point.
S. Córdova
Assist
90' + 1' Cordova showed good strength to hold off Hernandez, whose attempt to buy a foul was poor and ill-advised, allowing the cross to come in for a simple finish!
A. Finnbogason
Goal
90' + 1' GOAL!!! AUGSBURG ARE LEVEL!! IT'S 2-2! Cordoba leaves Hernandez on the floor as the defender looks for a soft foul and fizzes across goal for Finnbogason to tap in! They've punished Bayern's wastefulness at the other end!
90' + 1' Another chance is wasted as Goretzka tries to cut back for Lewandowski instead of shooting himself and gives the ball away.
90' MISS! What a miss from Muller! He's clean through on goal and curls his shot past the onrushing Koubek, but past the near post as well! He had to score there!
88' SAVE! Max takes a good touch to get the ball out of his feet on the edge of the box and strikes a fierce shot at goal that Neuer can only parry. Finnbogason is on hand to convert but scuffs his volley and Neuer can catch! What a chance to draw level!
L. Goretzka
S. Gnabry
86' Gnabry is replaced by Goretzka in Kovac's final change, with the former Schalke midfielder coming back from a thigh injury. His introduction pushes Muller wide to the right.
86' WIDE! Coman spins behind Lichtsteiner and leaves him trailing. He cuts inside and lashes one at goal but shanks it well wide.
Javi Martínez
Yellow Card
84' Martinez goes into the book for a cynical foul on substitute Cordova as he looks to mount a counter-attack.
S. Córdova
M. Richter
82' A strange decision by Schmidt to withdraw arguably his best performer in Richter, with Cordova taking his place.
T. Müller
Philippe Coutinho
80' Muller is on for Coutinho as Kovac looks to kill off the game. The Brazilian had been quiet in the last 20 minutes or so.
79' SAVE! Great save by Koubek! Lewandowski latches onto a ball over the top and heads across goal for Coman, who slides in for what seems set to be a certain goal. However, Koubek reacts well to keep it out from close range!
77' A neat passage of play on the Bayern left sees Coman slip the ball in behind for Lewandowski. He takes it in well initially but his second touch lets him down and the chance goes begging.
75' Gnabry is down for a moment after being clattered into by Max, and the ball is put out of play so he can receive treatment. It looks like he will be able to run it off.
R. Khedira
Yellow Card
73' Khedira clatters into Martinez and is the latest player to go into the book in what is becoming an increasingly ill-tempered contest.
72' SHOT! Richter goes for goal after cutting in from the left, but Neuer is in a good position to make a confident save.
70' Thiago slides in on Jensen, realises he's not getting the ball and tries to pull out of the challenge, but still catches him. The referee awards a foul and the Bayern midfielder is lucky not to receive a second yellow card.
A. Finnbogason
F. Niederlechner
68' Niederlechner goes off in place of Icelandic striker Finnbogason up front in Augsburg's second change.
67' SAVE! Gnabry lashes a firm effort back towards the near post, but Koubek reads it well and gets across to palm the shot aside!
65' Bayern are passing it around comfortably and probing for an opening as Augsburg sit in and soak up pressure.
M. Richter
Yellow Card
63' Richter protests as he's shown a yellow card for a frustrated tackle on Hernandez. It was a poor challenge and the booking is deserved.
F. Jensen
R. Oxford
63' Schmidt makes a positive change, replacing defensive midfielder Oxford with an attacking midfielder in Jensen.
62' OVER! Martinez dinks the ball to the back post as Bayern flood the box, but the striker can only nod just over the bar under pressure!
61' SAVE! Lewandowski spins into the box well but runs into traffic. Gnabry takes over and gets towards the byline before thumping an effort across goal that Koubek saves with his foot at the near post!
59' Coman is the latest to try his luck, cutting in from the left and letting fly, but it comes out off a wall of defenders.
57' Bayern have had over 78% of the ball, but Augsburg - to their credit - have retained an organised shape and are yet to capitulate the way they did against Gladbach.
55' SHOT! Vargas gets away down the right and thumps a solid strike at goal, but Neuer gets his body behind it well and holds on.
53' Coutinho hasn't brought his shooting boots today. He's had three shots in three minutes but hasn't been able to find the net with any. He's getting into good positions though.
51' SAVE! Gnabry slides a low ball across the face of goal for the unmarked Coutinho, who sidefoots it at goal, but it's straight at Koubek! He really should have buried that.
Philippe Coutinho
Assist
49' Coutinho found Gnabry as Bayern swept forward, but the German had plenty to do from outside the box to find the corner and produced a very nice strike.
S. Gnabry
Goal
49' GOAL! GNABRY MAKES IT 2-1!! It's a lovely goal from the winger as he drifts into the middle before placing a low, curling effort into the bottom corner out of Koubek's reach. Really nice finish.
47' Lewandowski smashes a shot at goal and Max has stayed down holding his face. That had to hurt. He's dazed but will be able to carry on.
46' We're off again for the second half!
Bayern settled into the game after Sule's unfortunate injury forced the introduction of Alaba, but Richter in particular has given Augsburg a threat on the break throughout the half. Augsburg certainly aren't out of the contest yet.
There goes the half-time whistle! Augsburg took a shock early lead as Richter volleyed home from close range after some poor Bayern defending, but the in-form Lewandowski levelled for his side, glancing home Gnabry's cross. It means Lewandowski has scored in a record-equalling first eight Bundesliga games of the season. It's 1-1 at the break!
45' + 3' HALF-TIME: AUGSBURG 1-1 BAYERN MUNICH
45' + 1' SHOT! Richter has been a real bright spark for Augsburg as he dances his way into the box and thumps one at goal, but it's right at Neuer, who gathers at the second attempt.
44' Kimmich narrowly avoids giving away a penalty as he is ruled to have handled the ball only just outside the box.
Thiago Alcântara
Yellow Card
42' Thiago scythes Richter down in the middle of the park after some quick feet got him away to lead a break. He's deservedly booked.
40' BLOCK! A low cross is spilled by Koubek and Thiago sidefoots the loose ball at goal, but it's repelled by Jedvaj! The midfielder has a second go but his follow-up is saved!
39' POST! Alaba turns on the left and crosses on his right foot. Gnabry meets it just inside the box with his left and guides it onto the post and out! Lewandowski then misses the target with his snatched follow-up.
J. Kimmich
Yellow Card
37' Bayern's attack breaks down as Coutinho tries to lay it back to Thiago and Kimmich brings Vargas down in the centre circle. The referee plays advantage initially but comes back to book Kimmich once the chance is gone.
35' Bayern have penned Augsburg back inside their own area and are probing, but can't quite force an opening. They look dangerous though.
33' OVER! Thiago has an effort that is deflected up into the air, but Koubek can't claim under pressure from Lewandowski and the ball breaks to Gnabry. He lashes at goal on his weaker left foot again but gets under it and sends the ball over the bar!
31' Pavard gets caught in possession but Niederlechner is ahead of the ball as the defender has his pocket picked, meaning the flag goes up for offside.
29' Augsburg have a free-kick but the delivery is poorly-worked, with the feint fooling everyone and the eventual delivery straight to Neuer.
27' Alaba fizzes a low one into the box and Lewandowski tries a cheeky back-heeled finish, but he misses the ball and Augsburg escape.
25' Bayern have found their rhythm now and are dominating the ball and pinning Augsburg back. They look the more likely side to score at present.
23' Alaba finds Lewandowski just inside the box with a cross from the left, but the striker can't add to his tally for the day, skewing his effort high and wide.
21' CHANCE! Coutinho slips a lovely ball between the centre-backs to Lewandowski in the box, but his first touch just gets away from him and Koubek can gather!
19' After conferring with his linesman, the referee gives offside against the Augsburg striker and awards Bayern a free-kick.
18' NO PENALTY! Niederlechner races into the box after Moravek plays him through. Hernandez sprints back into the box and bundles him over, but the referee waves play on!
16' Bayern have looked much more comfortable in possession since Alaba's introduction, giving them a second full-back comfortable both overlapping and tucking into midfield to provide an extra man.
15' That goal means that Lewandowski has equalled Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's record of scoring in the first eight Bundesliga games of the season in a row.
S. Gnabry
Assist
14' Gnabry had plenty of space to work in on the right and whipped in a top-quality delivery for Lewandowski to attack.
R. Lewandowski
Goal
14' GOAL!! LEWANDOWSKI BRINGS BAYERN LEVEL! Gnabry delivers an inch-perfect ball from the right and the in-form striker glances the ball into the far corner despite a touch from Koubek, who should do better. It's 1-1!
D. Alaba
N. Süle
12' Sule managed to hobble off the field and is replaced by Alaba, who makes his own return from injury. He goes to left-back, allowing Hernandez to shuffle across to centre-back and Pavard to move to the right of the central pairing, where he is more comfortable.
10' Sule went down holding the back of his knee despite not suffering a kick to the area and now requires treatment. It could be serious for the defender and he will have to be replaced.
9' MISS! Richter pounces on a loose ball as Sule goes down injured, but can only smash his half-volley wide of the target from inside the box! That could easily have been a second for Augsburg!
8' OVER! Gnabry drifts in from the right flank and smashes a left-footed effort at goal, but he just gets under it and lifts it over the bar. That had some power behind it.
7' Bayern's left flank is being attacked relentlessly, with Coman failing to track back and cover and Pavard looking uncomfortable as the left-sided centre-back.
5' Bayern look a mess at the back early on. The communication for the goal was poor and the visitors are still very disorganised as Augsburg look to capitalise, attacking down their right flank in particular.
3' Bayern's wait for a fourth clean sheet goes on - they have managed just three in their 12 games in all competitions so far.
R. Khedira
Assist
1' The ball deflected up into the air and Khedira was uncontested as he nodded in behind for Richter to guide the ball in from six yards!
M. Richter
Goal
1' GOAL!!! AUGSBURG TAKE THE LEAD!! A throw-in is really poorly defended and Khedira heads a loose ball in behind for Richter, who volleys past Neuer and into the corner after less than 30 seconds! It's 1-0 to Augsburg!
1' We're off in Augsburg!
Augsburg are hardly in a promising position to alter their losing streak against the reigning champions, having conceded 31 goals in their last nine Bundesliga games and winning just one of their last 12 competitive matches (D3 L8). They also face a striker in Lewandowski who already has 11 goals after just seven games - a Bundesliga record at this stage of the season.
Bayern have an outstanding record against Augsburg, averaging 2.47 points per game in the Bundesliga against them - more than against any other team in the league. Kovac's side have won 13 of their last 16 meetings with today's hosts and have not lost in their last eight against them.
Niko Kovac also makes two changes from Bayern's 2-1 reverse before the international break, with Hernandez and Martinez replacing Tolisso and Boateng. The switch allows Pavard to play in a more comfortable central role in defence, having had to fill in at left-back last time out, while Martinez provides added bite alongside his compatriot Thiago in midfield.
Martin Schmidt makes two changes to his Augsburg side following that heavy defeat as he switches to a 4-2-3-1 from a 4-4-2. Hahn drops to the bench and Michael Gregoritsch misses out altogether, with Richter and former West Ham youngster Oxford taking their places in the starting line-up.
Bayern Munich substitutes: Alphonso Davies, Jerome Boateng, Ivan Perisic, Sven Ulreich, Leon Goretzka, Thomas Muller, David Alaba, Corentin Tolisso
Bayern Munich XI (4-2-3-1): Manuel Neuer; Joshua Kimmich, Benjamin Pavard, Niklas Sule, Lucas Hernandez; Javi Martinez, Thiago; Kingsley Coman, Philippe Coutinho, Serge Gnabry; Robert Lewandowski
Augsburg substitutes: Sergio Cordova, Andreas Luthe, Alfred Finnbogason, Fredrik Jensen, Iago, Andre Hahn, Julian Schieber, Jeffrey Gouweleeuw, Raphael Framberge
Augsburg XI (4-2-3-1): Tomas Koubek; Stephan Lichtsteiner, Tin Jedvaj, Felix Uduokhai, Philipp Max; Rani Khedira, Reece Oxford; Ruben Vargas, Jan Moravek, Marco Richter; Florian Niederlechner
Augsburg come into this fixture off the back of a 5-1 hammering at the hands of Borussia Monchengladbach, while Bayern Munich also suffered a rare defeat against Hoffenheim to lose their place at the top of the Bundesliga table, and will be keen to make a statement in response.
Hello and welcome to our LIVE coverage of the Bundesliga fixture between Augsburg and Bayern Munich at the WWK Arena.
