Wydad Casablanca have announced the signing of Senegal forward Mbaye Niang from Serie A side Empoli.The 29-year-old is well-travelled, having previously played for AC Milan, Watford, Rennes, Bordeaux, Torino, Montpellier and Caen.A Senegal international who was at the 2018 Fifa World Cup, the former France youth international is expected to bring experience to Rhulani Mokwena's Wydad.

WYDAD ANNOUNCE NIANG ARRIVAL 

Niang is one of the close to 20 players signed by Wydad this transfer window including Brazilian midfielder Pedrinho, Abdel Boutouil and Cassius Mailula who is on loan from Toronto FC.The Moroccan giants are still trying to strengthen themselves and rectify where they went wrong after starting the season on a low note by losing their first Botola Pro League match 1-0 to Maghreb Fes.They also <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-za/lists/rhulani-mokwena-s-wydad-casablanca-fail-to-beat-second-tier-club-kac-marrakech-in-excellence-cup/bltb50161423a0b1c0b" target="_blank">failed to beat a lower-tier side KAC Marrakech </a>in the Excellence Cup on Sunday.

Wydad are known for not being too patient with coaches and Mokwena might be feeling the pressure of having his side back to winning ways.They will seek to bounce back when they visit Maghreb Tetouan on Saturday.
