New twist in Victor Osimhen transfer saga as Galatasaray reject 'new conditions' from Napoli to put Premier League clubs on red alert

According to Fabrizio Romano, the Serie A giants have demanded €40m (£34m/$44m) upfront from the Turkish side and the remaining €35m (£30m/$40.9m) in add-ons by 2026. They also want a sell-on clause to be added to the deal. However, Galatasaray want to pay the remaining amount of the transfer fee by 2027 and do not want to add any sell-on clause.

La Repubblica reported on Monday that Galatasaray had formally submitted their required bank guarantees to Napoli as they were prepared to meet the €75 million (£63m/$82m) valuation of the forward, but they have now rejected the proposal.

The stalling of transfer talks for Osimhen has certainly alerted clubs in the Premier League and Saudi Pro League. Manchester United and Arsenal were previously linked with a move for the Nigerian star, while Al-Hilal were also prepared to launch a bid for the player.

The 26-year-old striker will hope that the situation is resolved soon, as he wants to have clarity on his future before the 2025-26 campaign kicks off next month.
