Jose Riveiro made his debut in South African football in the 2022-23 Premier Soccer League season.He has so far won two MTN8 titles and as many Nedbank Cup crowns, at the&nbsp;same time finishing behind Mamelodi Sundowns in the league twice.Bafana Bafana legend Jomo Sono is impressed with how the Spaniard is handling his business in Mzansi.

WHAT HAPPENED?

"[Riveiro] knows what he is doing; I think he is a very good coach and he is not a tactician who is after publicity, he just wants to do his job," the 69-year-old told the media."You have coaches... who are just a publicity coach and that’s it. Some are not publicity coaches, they are just doing their jobs."He has done a good job with the players. I hope he stays but knowing football, you can wake up tomorrow and he is gone. That’s football," Sono concluded.

WHAT SONO SAID

The 2024-25 season will be vital for Riveiro and the Buccaneers to show the steps they have made in terms of development.They are aiming to successfully challenge for the Premier Soccer League title and in the process end Masandawana's&nbsp;dominance.&nbsp;Pirates have also promised to give their best in the Caf Champions League after being eliminated in the second preliminary round last season.
