Mamelodi Sundowns coach Manqoba Mngqithi has made some interesting remarks after excluding Teboho Mokoena and Khuliso Mudau from the matchday squad in the Tshwane Derby against SuperSport United.&nbsp;The two Bafana stars were dropped from Downs' matchday squad in the<a href="https://www.goal.com/en-za/lists/iqraam-rayners-and-lucas-ribeiro-fire-mamelodi-sundowns-to-tshwane-derby-triumph-over-rivals-supersport-united/blt3ec28ae96c50a249" target="_blank"> club's 2-0 victory over Matsantsantsa </a>on Tuesday at&nbsp;Loftus Versfeld&nbsp;Stadium despite being fit and available.&nbsp;During the post-match interview, Mngqithi referred to some of the decisions he took while he was a coach at Golden Arrows and AmaZulu, to explain how he deals with players.&nbsp;

WHAT HAPPENED?

“One thing you must know is that I am very capable of making decisive decisions, that’s one thing I’m good at,” Mngqithi told journalists.&nbsp;“If you can check some of the top players that were respected in my previous clubs when I say I no longer feel you’re helping the club, I take that decision and I move. And that helps me a lot.“If you go back to Golden Arrows, you check what happened to Bheka Phakathi, what happened to Pere at AmaZulu, all these players that were influential in those teams," explained the honest coach.&nbsp;“When I feel you’re not going to help the team at that point in time, I take the decision. But one thing is good, I am a very good human being, and I don’t keep grudges.&nbsp;“When you’re ready to perform and give the team what it needs, I will always embrace you because I must be a bigger boy, I must be a father to these kids," he added.&nbsp;“These kids are looking up to their leader to make sure that he’s also fair to them. Just like in any family, there will be good moments, bad moments, punishments and rewards, there will be successes and failures.”

WHAT WAS SAID

It was speculated that Mokoena and Mudau have been misbehaving following the departure of Rhulani Mokwena, who surprisingly left Sundowns for Wydad Casablanca.&nbsp;However, the outspoken 53-year-old tactician explained the reason behind the decision to exclude the Bafana Bafana stars from the Tshwane Derby.&nbsp;The Masandawana trainer has been under much criticism for his brave decisions to sideline some key players,<a href="https://www.goal.com/en-za/lists/mamelodi-sundowns-coach-manqoba-mngqithi-fires-back-at-critics-after-benching-themba-zwane-again-i-don-t-listen-to-all-the-rubbish-i-m-a-big-boy/blt3e76ae298cc77d1e" target="_blank"> including Themba Zwane</a>.&nbsp;

THE BIGGER PICTURE

It will be interesting to see if Mokoena and Mudau will make it to the matchday squad when Sundowns host Mbabane Swallows in the Caf Champions League clash on Saturday.&nbsp;After the continental commitment, Mngqithi and his troops will be looking for three more points when they welcome Marumo Gallants to the Loftus Versfeld Stadium on September, 24.
