<p>The National Women's Soccer League named Croix Bethune 2024 Midfielder of the Year. Bethune also picked up the Rookie of the Year honor earlier this week. The NWSL announced Bethune as Midfielder of the Year on Thursday at the league's media day. Bethune's teammates all wore t-shirts with her on them to celebrate. </p><p>Bethune made her 10th assist during Week 17 to lead the league in assists during the regular season. She tied the single-season record for assists, which was set by Tobin Heath in 2016. Bethune notched three assists in one game, which was the first-time in the league's history a rookie pulled that off.
