Stephan Lerch's side thrashed TSG Hoffenheim 8-0 (5-0) on Monday evening, with six different scorers contributing to the record cup winners' victory.
Afterwards, Lerch told Sky his team had played "consistently", "extremely consistently": "I can't remember ever seeing such a clear-cut result in a match between two Bundesliga sides. We kept our foot on the accelerator."
Liesk Carleer (2nd minute) gave Wolfsburg an early lead, before Cora Zicai (11th/41st), Janina Minge (22nd) and Lara Prasnikar (25th) put the game beyond doubt before half-time.
After the break, Lena Lattwein scored twice (63rd/75th) and Cecilie Flöe Nielsen added another (85th). It was revenge for Wolfsburg, second in the Bundesliga, after their only league defeat of the season so far came at Hoffenheim in September.
Double winners Bayern Munich are also through to the quarter-finals, along with Eintracht Frankfurt, SC Freiburg, Werder Bremen, Union Berlin, 1. FC Köln and VfB Stuttgart. The next round will not take place until March 2027.
