When slide tackles go wrong - Dundee defender takes out his team-mate

It was a pretty miserable weekend for Dundee, as they fell to the bottom of the Scottish Premiership following a 4-1 defeat at Rangers.

Two goals from Alfredo Morelos, and strikes from Josh Windass and Carlos Pena consigned the Dens Park outfit to a heavy defeat, despite Faissal El Bakhtaoui’s late consolation, but perhaps the ultimate humiliation came when Jack Hendry was left red faced for taking out team-mate Cammy Kerr with a sliding tackle.

The right-back was tracking back to mop up the danger, but former Wigan man Hendry misread the situation and performed a poorly execute challenge that left his defensive colleague sprawled on the deck. Had he done that to an opponent, it would have been a clear yellow card.

Thankfully for Dundee, it did no further damage to their cause.
