Following their 4-3 victory on penalties over Muslim Senior College in the semifinal of the GTBank Principals Cup, Abeeb Oki reveals the reason behind Ikotun Senior High School's success from the spot.

The goalkeeper, voted Most Valuable Player of the encounter,  says that the Ikotun outfit had planned for the situation and thus, practised for penalties prior to the encounter.

"We have been looking forward to the final and so we kept planning ahead. So this year we were determined and also prayed to almighty God that we want to be in the final and lift the trophy," Oki told Goal.

"I think because we have been practising for penalty kicks and we also have it at the back of our minds to be in the lift the GTBank Principals Cup title."

The victory saw them book a place in the final of the competition against Ijaiye Housing Estate Senior Grammar School.

After the Ojokoro side defeated Odogunyan Senior Grammar School, a side Oki described as his toughest so far in the school competition.

"Our toughest match has to be against Odogunyan Senior Grammar School during the state's phase. They defeated us 3-1."
