The Ivory Coast international was omitted from Pep Guardiola's pre-season plans, but is looking to keep himself in shape amid transfer speculation

Wilfried Bony has been cutting a lonely figure at Manchester City’s training ground after being exiled from Pep Guardiola’s plans.

The Ivory Coast international was left out of City’s squad for their pre-season preparations in America at the International Champions Cup.

A prolific strike rate at Swansea, and prior to that in Holland with Vitesse, proved that he can be a useful attacking option.

City, though, have the likes of Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus on their books, with speculation continuing to suggest that they could bolster their ranks further with a move for Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez.

That leaves Bony very much on the fringes of the fold, with a transfer required as soon as possible in order for him to find his best form once again.
