Ushuru taxed by FC Talanta to miss out on top spot in NSL

Ushuru FC have once again bluffed their chance of returning to the top of the table after falling 2-0 to FC Talanta on Monday.

The taxmen, on 52 points, needed maximum points and a healthy goal difference against Talanta to dislodge Western Stima from the top but it was never going to be the case.

Their fate was sealed even before kick-off as the taxmen graced the field with jerseys printed Boca Junior FC, but were however, allowed to play. It was not going to be their day; Emmanuel Mogaka gave his side the lead in the 32nd minute after a good move that caught the taxmen defense napping.

With the Ken Kenyatta led side fighting for at least a point, Rodgers Omondi made it two with ten minutes to go. It was Ushuru's 27th game, and they will now hope that KCB, Western Stima and Nairobi Stima drop points in order to have a perfect chance of winning the National Super League title.
