Ulinzi Stars will use the midweek Kenyan Premier League match against Gor Mahia as preparation for the FKF Shield semi-final clash with Kariobangi Sharks.

Ulinzi Stars, fresh from a 1-0 win over Wazito on Sunday insisted that the clash with champions in waiting will not be of great importance for his side compared.

Rightfully so, Ulinzi Stars will not benefit much from Gor Mahia game now that K'Ogalo have already wrapped up the league; a victory in the next two stages in the Shield, will hand the Soldiers another trip to the continental stage-Caf Confederation Cup.

“The Gor Mahia game will be an entertaining match, and a good one for us because Gor Mahia have nothing much to play for after winning the league, while we will be out to play for a better position so it will be an entertaining match,” coach Dunstan Nyaudo told ulinzistarsfc.com.

Ulinzi Stars will be up against K’Ogalo on Wednesday before tackling Kriobangi Sharks on Sunday.

“The most important game in our schedule is the Sharks game. We have to be at our best for these matches because we are playing in very tight timelines and it is not easy.”

Ulinzi Stars book a date with Sharks, the 2017 losing finalist after edging Riverplate in the quarters.
