Zlatan rejected $100m China offer


Zlatan Ibrahimovic turned down a $100 million offer from China in favour of completing a move to the LA Galaxy, according to Sports Illustrated.

The Swedish striker left Manchester United last month and subsequently finalised a long-anticipated move to the MLS side.

Ibrahimovic is expected to earn $3m over the course of his two-year Galaxy deal after rejecting the eye-watering sums being offered in the Chinese Super League.

Chelsea facing fight to keep Hazard & Courtois


Chelsea will need to convince Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois of the club’s long-term ambitions in their attempts to persuade the Belgian duo to sign new contracts.

Hazard’s current deal expires in 2020 and Chelsea are willing to offer the playmaker a pay rise in an effort to ward off long-time suitors Real Madrid.

Courtois, meanwhile, has just a year left on his contract, with Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain both interested in the goalkeeper.

Ribery denies extra effort to win Bayern extension


Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery has rubbished suggestions that he raised his performance level against Sevilla in a bid to win an extension with the Bundesliga champions-elect.

The former France international winger’s deal at the Allianz Arena expires in the summer and, on the eve of his 35th birthday, there have been questions raised over his longevity.

But, speaking after the 2-1 success in Spain, he rejected the claim that he had raised his level with the intention of getting a new deal.

Brandt signs new Leverkusen deal


Julian Brandt has signed an extended contract with Bayer Leverkusen, committing himself to the Bundesliga club until June 2021.

The 21-year-old Germany winger has been linked with the likes of Bayern Munich and Liverpool, although the Bundesliga champions reportedly ended their pursuit in February.

Brandt still had a year to run on his previous contract but, in extending by a further two seasons, Leverkusen have ruled out the prospect of losing one of their prized assets on a free transfer.

James Rodriguez unsure of future


James Rodriguez insists he is happy at Bayern Munich, but has refused to rule out a return to Real Madrid.

The Colombia international moved to Allianz Arena on a two-year loan last summer, with Bayern holding a non-obligatory option to buy the attacking midfielder.

Rodriguez, who played in Bayern's 2-1 Champions League quarter-final first leg win over Sevilla on Tuesday, says he does not know what will happen in the future as his Bavarian stay continues.

Man Utd to make €30m Ghoulam bid


Manchester United are ready to make an opening bid of €30 million for Napoli defender Faouzi Ghoulam, according to RMC Sport.

Jose Mourinho is expected to sign a new left-back in the summer and is targeting a move for Ghoulam, who is currently recovering from a knee injury.

Chelsea and Manchester City have previously been interested in the Algeria international, who is under contract at Napoli until 2022, and United could face competition from fellow Premier League clubs in the summer.


Valencia to move for Pastore


Valencia are ready to make a fresh approach to sign Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Javier Pastore in the summer, claims TuttoMercatoWeb.

Pastore was a tentative target for Valencia in January, but the Spanish club will step up their interest at the end of the season as they look to beat Besiktas to the signing of the Argentine.

The negotiations could also be linked to the future of Goncalo Guedes, who is currently on loan at Valencia from PSG, but could be sold to Atletico Madrid.


Madrid have Hazard doubts


Real Madrid currently have reservations about pushing ahead with a bid for Chelsea playmaker Eden Hazard in the summer, reports the Evening Standard.

Hazard has been linked with a big-money move to the Santiago Bernabeu at the end of the season as Madrid consider their next Galactico signing.

However, Hazard’s recent dip in form has prompted Madrid to have second thoughts over a summer bid as Chelsea try to agree a new contract with the Belgium international.


Spurs consider £50m De Ligt deal


Tottenham are ready to consider a £50 million offer for Ajax defender Matthijs de Ligt in the summer, claims football.london.

De Ligt is one of the best teenage talents in world football and has already attracted interest from the likes of Spurs’ local rivals Arsenal, as well as Barcelona.

But, with doubts surrounding the future of Toby Alderweireld, Spurs could look to reunite De Ligt with his former Ajax team-mate Davinson Sanchez at the end of the season.


Liverpool monitoring Torres


Liverpool are keeping an eye on Valencia striker Ferran Torres, according to Guillem Balague of Sky Sports.

The 18-year-old recently signed a new deal with Los Che through 2021, which includes a €100 million release clause. 

Torres has been given his Valencia senior debut this season, making seven La Liga appearances and taking part in three Copa del Rey matches. 


Asensio fires Madrid warning


Marco Asensio is ready to leave Real Madrid, if he is not considered as a starter in the club’s biggest games of the season, claims Don Balon.

The Spain international wants to be involved in the most important fixtures in Madrid’s calendar and does not want to be starting such matches on the substitutes’ bench.

If he is regularly left out of the big matches, then Asensio is willing to move, with Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain all admirers.


Chelsea chasing Turkish GK prodigy


Chelsea have stepped up their efforts to land 17-year-old Turkish goalkeeper Berke Ozer, according to The Sun.

Ozer has already been called up by Turkey's senior national team, and has made his debut for Turkish second-division side Altinordu.

Manchester City and Barcelona have also been credited with an interest in Ozer, who has been likened to AC Milan standout Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Juve still have Can fear


Juventus are still worried they could miss out on the signing of Liverpool midfielder Emre Can, claims Calciomercato.com.

Can is out of contract at Liverpool at the end of the season and Juve are favourites to sign the Germany international on a five-year deal.

However, with Can yet to give his final agreement, Juve fear the likes of the player’s former club Bayern Munich, Manchester City or Real Madrid could steal in for his signature.


Barca risk losing Man City target


Barcelona risk losing Robert Navarro after Manchester City made an offer for the midfield sensation, reports Sport.

Navarro turns 16 next week and Barcelona have yet to make a concrete proposal for a player also attracting interest from Arsenal, Juventus and Monaco.

If Barca fail to agree a deal with Navarro, then the gifted youngster could leave the club for a knock-down fee.

Barcelona are looking at Sevilla centre-back Clement Lenglet as a potential replacement for Samuel Umtiti, according to Sport.

Umtiti's future with Barca is up in the air as the French defender continues to seek out an improved contract. 

And the Catalans are considering Umtiti's 22-year-old countryman as a possible alternative, with Lenglet impressing in La Liga and the Champions League this term.
