Tottenham team news: Injuries, suspensions and line-up vs Everton

The Toffees will hope to win their first match in five as they travel to Wembley to take on Mauricio Pochettino's Spurs

Tottenham return to Premier League action this weekend against Everton, fresh from progressing to the fourth round of the FA Cup.

A much-rotated side swept Wimbledon aside at Wembley, winning 3-0, to earn an away tie against lower-league Newport County.

The Toffees, meanwhile, came unstuck against Merseyside rivals Liverpool at Anfield - Virgil van Dijk's late header on his debut stealing the headlines - and are on the hunt for their first win in five games in all competitions.

TOTTENHAM INJURIES

Harry Winks is a doubt for the clash with Everton due to a niggling ankle injury sustained against Crystal Palace in November.

Danny Rose has a knee injury and will miss the encounter, while Toby Alderweireld remains on the sidelines with a hamstring problem.

TOTTENHAM STARTING LINE-UP

Mauricio Pochettino made a number of changes to his XI for the encounter with Wimbledon, with Kieran Trippier and Kyle Walker-Peters involved as full-backs and Fernando Llorente starting up front.

Due to the Argentine's penchant for rotation, expect Ben Davies to return on the left of defence, while Serge Aurier could replace his English cohort at right-back.

Llorente is likely to return to the bench, allowing Harry Kane to lead the line on his own, while Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli should return after being rested last weekend.

EVERTON TEAM NEWS

Michael Keane is a doubt for Everton due to a foot injury, while Leighton Baines will definitely miss out due to a calf muscle strain.

Seamus Coleman is on the long-term injury list due to a broken leg, while Ramiro Funes Mori and Maarten Stekelenburg are also injured.
