Taye Taiwo made a key contribution in RoPS’s 2-1 victory over Lahti in Monday’s Finnish Veikkausliiga.
The Nigeria international who joined the Keskuskentta outfit as a free agent in March made his 24th appearance for the side in the tie and capped it with an assist.
The former Marseille left-back set up Simo Roiha for the opening goal in the 25th minute of the encounter.
Artem Vyatkin put Toni Korkeakunnas’ men levelled in the 58th minute but 10 minutes later, Erfan Zeneli ensured that Toni Koskela’s side leave Lahden Stadion with the maximum points.
The victory saw RoPS maintain their second spot in the log with 45 points from 24 games.
Taiwo who featured for the entire duration of the game will be looking forward to continue the impressive showing for his side in their next tie against Inter Turku on Saturday.
