SImba SC have sent representatives to Kenya to open talks with Ingwe over a possible transfer of Ugandan midfielder

Tanzania giants Simba SC are keen to capture services of AFC Leopards midfielder Allan Kateregga.

The head of transfers in Simba, Zacharia Hans Poppe, has revealed to Goal Tanzania that they have sent representatives to Nairobi to open negotiations with the player and AFC Leopards over a possible move. Simba were impressed by the Ugandan star during the Super Cup tournament that was held in Tanzania recently. Gor Mahia won the tournament after beating AFC Leopards 3-0 in the final.

"We have dispatched our team to Kenya to open negotiations with the player and his club. We hope the deal will be sealed because the coach is keen to add the player to our squad."

Despite signing Emmanuel Okwi, Simba are keen to sign another striker, who will assist Laudit Mavugo after Ibrahim Ajibu ditched the club for rivals Yanga FC. Poppe added that the signing of Kateregga will conclude their transfer activities this window. "Kateregga is a good player. We watched him play during the Super Cup and he caught the eye of coach Joseph Omog and he wants him signed for this team."
