SuperSport United linked with a move for Kenyan Masoud Juma

SuperSport United are reportedly leading the chase for Kariobangi Sharks striker Masoud Juma.

The 21-year-old is considered to be one of the Kenyan Premier League’s hottest properties after ending the previous campaign as the league’s top scorer with 17 goals, and with so much uncertainty surrounding SuperSport’s Jeremy Brockie’s future amid interest from cross-town rivals Mamelodi Sundowns, Matsatsantsa are believed to be in the running.

According to reports in Kenyan publication Nairobi News, the Harambee Stars forward is on the radar of the 2017 Caf Confederation Cup finalists, and if SuperSport are to break the bank for Juma, then they will need to beat out reported interest from Albanian outfit KF Skenderbeu Korce.

However, Juma’s Kenyan club are believed to have placed a $200 000 (around R2.5 million) price tag on the forward’s shoulders, which could prove a sticky point.

But what SuperSport have in their favour is the fact that they can offer a bigger salary than the Albanian club which could tempt the player to jump ship to South African shores when the January transfer window opens in the coming days.
