Kenya is set to host 2018 Chan competition set for January giving national team Harambee Stars a free ticket to compete.

Coach Stanley Okumbi is optimistic the national side can do better if players are exposed ahead of the tournament. The tactician, who was speaking after returning home from Spain where he headed the KPL AllStars team, says youth remain his primary target for the assignment.

Rachier: KPL AllStars pulled a  good show in Spain

"Well, we do have talent in this country, that we are sure but sometimes lack of exposure is our main undoing. We need many friendly matches to sharpen us and help the players get used to what is expected against their opponents. Like our tour to Spain was very helpful to the players.

"Yes, youths are very much in my plans, I want to give them an opportunity because they are our future," Okumbi told Goal.

The KPL AllStars side played against Cordoba and Sevilla Atletico losing 4-0 and 1-0 respectively.
