Sony Sugar held Bandari to a barren draw at Mbaraki Stadium while Mathare United registered their second league win in 10 matches.

The draw moved Bandari one place down to seventh on the log with 25 points after 17 rounds of matches while Son Sugar, who lost 1-0 in the opening leg last weekend are 14th with 17 points.

Mathare United registered their first victory in 10 Kenyan Premier League matches after forcing a 1-0 result against Kakamega Homeboyz at Ruaraka ground.

Eric Ambunya deflected Chris Ochieng's shot into his own net to gift the ‘Slum Boys’ the win in the third minute of the match.

The win, however, could not help Mathare United move a place up from the bottom. Mathare United have only accumulated 13 points from 17 matches. Elsewhere, Zoo Kericho beat Kariobangi Sharks 3-2 at Kericho Green Stadium.

Nicholas Kipkirui scored a brace while Mike Madoya hit Zoo’s other goal to hand the Kericho-based side a win over their fellow league debutants.

Rodgers Omondi and Ovella Ochieng scored the consolation goals for the visitors. Meanwhile, Sofapaka gave Muhoroni Youth a rude welcome back to their home turf with a 3-2 beating.

Ugandan import, Umaru Kasumba scored his first league goal for Sofapaka with Ali Feni and Maurice Odipo hitting home Batoto Ba Mungu’s other goals.

Hassan Kayoyo and Ambrose Ayoyi scored for Muhoroni Youth.
