Samuel Eto'o fires Antalyaspor to victory over Kasimpasa

Samuel Eto’o found the back of the net as Antalyaspor came from a goal down to defeat Kasimpasa 2-1 in a Turkish Super Lig game on Friday evening.

The visitors took the lead in the 23rd-minute courtesy Jhon Murillo. A shot by Mahmoud Hassan from the edge of the box was parried by Ruud Boffin into the path of the winger, and Murillo poked the ball into an empty net.

However, the former Inter striker restored parity for the hosts two minutes before the halftime interval after an inswinging corner was headed for the back of the net, the Apaches goalie Ramazan Kose cleared it off the line but Eto’o was on hand to force the ball into the back of the net.

And the comeback was complete in the 74th minute for the hosts courtesy Deniz Kadah. After Eto’o had gotten to the byline, he swung in a low cross which was controlled by Maicon with his back to goal, and he laid the ball off for Kadah to fire a well-placed effort past Kose.

Eto'o who scored his second league goal of the campaign played the entire duration while Chelsea loanee Kenneth Omeruo also played the whole 90 minutes of the encounter for Kasimpasa.

This is the second win of the season for Leonardo's side in the Turkish top-flight and sees them rise to 12th on the log with nine points from nine games played.
