Randers FC hoping to sell Mandla Masango to South African club

South African international Mandla Masango's future remains uncertain after his Danish Superliga club Randers, confirmed that he is not in their plans for the 2017/2018 campaign.

Following a recent fall out with his club, Masango was subsequently loaned out to SuperSport United, but after Matsatsantsa opted against exercising their option to sign the 27-year-old player, Masango’s immediate future looks bleak unless he can seal a move elsewhere in the coming weeks.

Masango currently has a year left on his contract with Randers but the club’s technical director Michael Gravgaard admits that the winger is unlikely to play any part next season. However, Gravgaard is hopeful that a South African club could snap up the former Kaizer Chiefs attacker.

“I’m not going to hide our hope that another South African club can help him fulfil his dream of going home because that is what he wants‚” Gravgaard told reporters.

“I can’t see him getting any more action in a Randers shirt.

“According to his contract‚ we are‚ of course‚ obliged to offer him the training he is entitled to‚ just as he is obliged to attend it,” he added.

Meanwhile, Rander’s coach Olafur Kristjansson reiterated Gravgaard’s sentiments.

"Right now we have not taken a position on what we do‚ but I do not immediately think his situation is much different than when he left half a year ago‚” Kristjansson added.
