Oscarine Masuluke stops training with Kaizer Chiefs

Oscarine Masuluke's search for a new club is set to continue into the off-season after leaving Kaizer Chiefs.

The lanky goalkeeper had been training with Amakhosi in an attempt to convince the club that he has what it takes to win a professional contract.

However, things haven't gone according to plan, and a source inside the Chiefs camp, has confirmed to Goal that the 24-year-old hasn't been training with the club for a while.

"He hasn't been training with the team for a while. So, Oscarine is no longer here," the source told Goal.

Masuluke began his trial with Amakhosi at the beginning of April, less than two months after being released by Baroka FC.

While Masuluke is no doubt a talented young shot-stopper, he appears to have failed to win the hearts of the Amakhosi technical team and management during his time at Naturena.

Chiefs could be in the market for a goalkeeper as Brilliant Khuzwayo is set to leave the club at the end of the season.

Khuzwayo is closing in on his sixth year at Chiefs having first joined them in 2012.

Nonetheless, he was used sparingly during this period as Itumeleng Khune continued to be the club's No.1.

Currently, the Glamour Boys have Brylon Petersen and Bruce Bvuma as their two up and coming goalkeepers.

And it is unclear at this stage whether or not Chiefs will want to sign someone experienced to replace Khuzwayo ahead of the start of next season.
