Harambee Stars head coach Stanley Okumbi and former coach Jacob ‘Ghost’ Mulee have praised National Super League side Wazito FC for their organized operation and performance.
Since their inception in 2011, Wazito have climbed the ladder from lower leagues to the country’s second tier by 2016. Their NSL debut was rocky due to lack of a sponsor on board but they still managed an 11th position finish with an undoubtable record of being the most organized club in the league and the country at large.

Just to mention a few, they were the first NSL club to comply with Caf Club licensing requirement and the only club to own a sports shop in Kenya during the year.
In 2017, they pulled another first by introducing Yoga sessions in a bid to stay fit for the season and the fruits are all out there to be seen by everyone. Despite the fact that they still don’t have a sponsor, the Frank Ouna coached outfit are at the top of NSL table with 28 points from 13 matches.

With all these in mind, this is what Okumbi had to say, "I have been following Wazito’s performance and any coach will be happy with the kind of talents showcased at the club. I think the reason for their good run is unity within the playing unit and proper coordination with the technical bench. They have a dedicated bench and committed players, he told Goal.
In a separate interview with ‘Ghost’, the former Kenya coach added that the players are easier to coach because they understand playing concepts quickly. This is due to the fact that most of the them are already educated being professionals in various fields. He asserts that the club can do better if a sponsor comes on board.

"Wazito have superb management, bench and players. They all speak in one voice and the results can be seen on the table. Most of their players are learned and the technical bench is a capable one. Look at head coach Ouna (Frank); he is the Harambee Stars assistant coach and a coach who has won titles with Kenyan Premier League giants Gor Mahia. I’m very sure that if they get some financial boost they will fully harness their potential," he told Goal.
They are meeting GFE 105 in their next league match.
