Cameroon interim coach Alexandre Belinga has invited 23 players for the country’s friendly encounter against Kuwait later this month.
The west African nation will take on their Asian counterpart during the international break on March 25 in Kuwait City.
Headlining the list of invited players are stars who opted out from the country’s successful 2017 Africa Cup of Nations outing in Gabon for club’s commitment.
Following a reconciliation meeting between selected European stars and the President of the Normalisation committee of the Cameroonian FA Dieudonne Happi in Paris, West Bromwich Albion defender Allan Nyom, veteran goalkeeper Carlos Kameni, Stoke City’s Eric Choupo-Moting, Kayserispor’s Jean-Armel Kana-Biyick and Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana return to the Indomitable Lions fold.
And former France youth international Bahoken Stephane who plays for French Ligue 1 outfit Strasbourg has been handed his maiden call-up.
Regular fixtures including Banana Yaya, Vincent Aboubakar, Clinton Njie and Benjamin Moukandjo earned their spots in the list.
Goalkeepers: Fabrice Ondoa, Andre Onana, Carlos Kameni.
Defenders: Colins Fai, Felix Eboa Eboa, Fabrice Ngah, Ngadjui Ngadeu, Adolphe Teikeu, Banana Yaya.
Midfielders: Anguissa Zambo, Sebastien Siani, Allan Nyom, Georges Mandjeck, Jean-Armel Kana-Biyik, Christian Bassogog.
Attackers: Clinton Njie, Benjamin Moukandjo, Fabrice Olinga, Vincent Aboubakar, Stephane Bahoken, Eric Choupo-Moting, Ekambi Toko, Leandre Tawamba.
Cameroon, the only African country to have qualified for the Fifa World Cup seven times [1982, 1990, 1994, 1998, 2002, 2010 and 2014] missed out of the 2018 tournament in Russia after ending their qualification campaign with just a win from six games to finish third in Group B behind Nigeria and Zambia.
