The Solid Miners attacker has urged fans not to turn against them despite their recent struggle in the top-flight this season

Nasarawa United's Nojeem Olukokun has appealed to fans not to give up on them yet after another home draw against Kano Pillars in Sunday's top-flight clash.

The Solid Miners put up a spirited performance against Sai Masu Gida and could have taken the maximum points had they converted the few chances that came their way but had to settle for a share of the spoils after a resolute defending by the visitors.

Olukokun revealed that they are bothered by their underwhelming performances in the league this season insisting that they are seriously working on how to return to winning ways.

“I will say we gave our best today (Sunday) against Kano Pillars but we were unable to penetrate through their defense,” Olukokun told Goal.

“We didn’t convert some of the chances that fell to us too and I must state that we the players are bothered by our performances in the league this season. We are doing everything possible to ensure that we improve better than we have done in the matches we have played.

“We need our true fans behind us at this important period. They are the people we can lean on knowing that if they regularly support us irrespective of whatever we are going through it will enable us to recover quickly.”

The former Shooting Stars and Kwara United attacker is Nasarawa United’s leading scorer with six goals from 19 games.
