Nigeria fail to reach Fifa U17 Women's World Cup for first time as Cameroon qualify

Bala Nikyu's side will have to wait at least two years for another opportunity to qualify for the competition

For the first time since 2008, Nigeria U17 Women won't be participating in a World Cup.

The Flamingos played to a 1-1 draw with Cameroon in a Women's World Cup qualifying second leg on Sunday, falling on away goals rule after a 3-3 aggregate result to miss out on Uruguay 2018.
