The Everton full-back is facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines after a challenge from Wales defender Neil Taylor left him with a double fracture.

And Mkhitaryan, who is set to face the Toffees in Tuesday's Premier League clash, has sent his well-wishes to Coleman, insisting he hopes he returns to action very soon.

He told MUTV: "I have seen the injury to Coleman and I feel sorry for him. I wish him a very quick recovery.

"It was a very bad injury and, when I saw the footage of it, I felt very bad about it. I want to support him and tell him to stay strong and to come back as strong as he can.

"It is not nice to see but also that is football. Danger is a part of the game and you have to be ready for it. Of course not that kind of injury but that is football.
