MFM can make up for Niger Tornadoes loss against Go Round - Jonathan Zikiye

MFM FC's Jonathan Zikiye says his side are aiming to make up for their loss at Niger Tornadoes with a win over Go Round in Wednesday's rescheduled tie at the Krisdera Stadium.

After Sunday's 1-0 loss to the Ikon Allah Boys, Fidelis Ilechukwu's men have failed to win in three matches in a row and are hoping to avoid back-to-back defeat against the Omoku-based side.

Since Ngozi Elechi's side are yet to see a win in their last five games, the former Kano Pillars defender believes they have what it takes to condemn the hosts to their first home defeat.

"We were really disappointed with our defeat to Niger Tornadoes [last Sunday]," Zikiye told Goal.

Though we did our best, luck was not on our side because we played well and came close to picking something in Minna. Now we are playing Go Round and I think this a big chance for us to make up for our last away loss [to Tornadoes].

“We are very determined and fully prepared to win in Omoku. We need to play better than we did against Enugu Rangers, though I know that they will be really difficult to beat.

“So, I'm very confident that we can to get something if we are at our best and give them a very good fight. No team has won here but I think that we are capable of picking the three points."

MFM will hope for an away win in their bid climb to the top 10 places from their current 11th with 24 points from 17 matches.
