Orlando Pirates will reportedly continue to struggle until they help former goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa's family get closure on the late star's killing three years ago.

This is according to The Citizen source, who is said to be close to the Meyiwa family. The source stated that Senzo's father Sam is still hurt that no one has been arrested.

“He swears that Pirates will struggle because his son is not at peace," the source said.

"He feels that Pirates have the power and resources to put pressure on the police to speed up the investigation yet they are doing nothing,” the source concluded.

However, former Sport Minister Fikile Mbalula, who is now the Police Minister has promised that the police will soon crack the Meyiwa case.

“It is one of my priorities to crack this case with the team," Mbalula told

"I’m very positive we’ll make arrests, but I don’t want to tip them (the killers) off by divulging the plans we are going to use," he said.

The Buccaneers are currently winless in 12 league matches - having recorded five defeats and seven draws since beating Chippa United away last November.
