Young Africans Head Coach George Lwandamina has revealed that he has hopes that his star forward Zambian Obrey Chirwa will continue with his form in front of goal and can help the team to defend their title this season.
Chirwa has eleven goals this season just two behind the current league top scorer Emmanuel Okwi of Simba and he also scored in Yanga's emphatic 4-1 win against Ruvuma based side Maji Maji FC at Benjamini Mkapa National Stadium, Dar es Salaam on Wednesday.
Speaking to Goal Lwandamina expressed his hopes for his talisman and believes that there is even more to come from Chirwa who has excelled since arriving from FC Platinum last season.
"He is a good player and knows very well how to finish when he is in front of the opponent’s goal. I hope he can keep up the performance and score more goals in matches to come," said Lwandamina.
Chirwa has become the first choice striker after long injury layoffs to Donald Ngoma and Amissi Tambwe who are yet to feature this season.
