Balotelli to remain with Nice


Striker stays with Ligue 1 outfit

Mario Balotelli is to remain with Nice for the 2018-19 campaign.

The Italy striker, who had previously expressed a desire to depart the Ligue 1 side, is now confirmed to remain with the club for at least another year.

Balotelli joined Nice in 2016 and has scored 43 goals in 66 appearances.

Denayer poised for Lyon switch


Lyon look all but set to capture Manchester City defender Jason Denayer on a four-year deal, reports L’Equipe.

The Ligue 1 club emerged as favourites over the weekend following speculation that the 24-year-old’s tenure at the Eithad Stadium would officially come to an end.

Since signing in 2014, Denayer has not played a single game for the Premier League champions, instead spending each of the last four seasons on loan, with two separate stints at Galatasaray.

Sevilla make offer for Falque


Sevilla have tabled an offer for Torino’s Iago Falque, according to Calciomercato.

The 28-year-old forward is well-travelled, having played for three clubs alone on loan whilst signed to Tottenham Hotspur between 2012 and 2014.

He initially joined Torino on a temporary basis from Serie A rivals Roma before signing permanently last year.

Alcacer top target for Dortmund


Barcelona's Paco Alcacer is reportedly a top target for new Borussia Dortmund boss Lucien Favre, per L'Equipe.

The 24-year-old, who won 13 caps for Spain between 2014 and 2016 has been told by Ernesto Valverde that he does not figure in his plans.

As such, he is expected to depart the Catalan club, with Dortmund keen on a loan option.

Ex-Stoke man Ireland sought by Monchengladbach


Borussia Monchengladbach are believed to be leading the race for the signature of free agent Stephen Ireland, reports RevierSport.

The former Manchester City and Stoke City man was released by the Potters at the end of the 2017-18 campaign following their relegation from the Premier League.

Several Bundesliga clubs are interested in acquiring the 31-year-old’s services but it is thought that Monchengladbach is Ireland’s most likely destination if he moves to Germany.

Bayern signal 2019 transfer targets


Bayern Munich have identified Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann and Juventus’ Paulo Dybala as their top targets for next summer’s transfer window, according to Bild.

Club president Uli Hoeness has stated that the Bundesliga champions will conserve their budget this year in order to launch large-scale bids for the pair ahead of the 2019-20 season.

France international and World Cup winner Griezmann only signed a new deal at Atletico this year whilst Dybala is contracted to Scudetto holders Juve until 2022.

Clichy in shock PSG switch?


Paris Saint-Germain's hunt for a left-back could see them turn to Gael Clichy, France Football reports.

The former Manchester City man is currently with Istanbul Basaksehir.

The keeper's Champions League final blunders saw the Reds invest a then world-record sum to sign Alisson from Roma.

After pre-season errors, Jurgen Klopp's side have decided to send the 25-year-old out on loan.

Paris Saint-Germain are exploring the option of luring Ivan Rakitic and Sergio Busquets away from Barcelona, reports Spanish publication Sport.

Their efforts to land Busquets appear set to come to nothing, with it understood that the World Cup winner has fresh terms in place at Camp Nou which will raise his release clause to €200 million (£179m/$228m).

PSG may, however, have more success with Rakitic, with it possible that they could meet the €125m (£112m/$143m) asking price in his contract.

Zahavi was brought on last year, reportedly with the intention of securing Lewandowski a big-money move away from Bayern. 

That move has thus far yet to happen and though Bayern president Uli Hoeness recently claimed Zahavi's contract has expired, Lewandowski has decided to retain his agent.  

Robertson yet to discuss new deal with Liverpool


Liverpool full-back Andy Robertson has yet to hold talks with the club over a new contract, reports the Liverpool Echo. 

The 24-year-old has rapidly developed into the club's first-choice option at left-back, and could be in line for a vastly improved deal.

Robertson's current contract, which is heavily incentivised, has four years remaining. 

Loftus-Cheek to hold showdown talks


Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek will have talks over his future with manager Maurizio Sarri this week, claims The Sun.

Loftus-Cheek was not in the matchday squad for Chelsea's win over Arsenal on Saturday, and wants assurances over his playing time. 

Should Sarri not be able to offer the 22-year-old regular minutes, he will ask for a loan move.

RB Leipzig have returned with a £22 million (€25m/$28m) bid for Everton forward Ademola Lookman, reports the Mirror

The 20-year-old starred on loan for Leipzig last season, and the Bundesliga side are hoping to land the young Englishman on a permanent basis. 

Everton have thus far rebuffed Leipzig's advances, but the Toffees are thought to be open to selling Lookman after the arrivals of Richarlison and Bernard this summer.

David De Gea is set to sign a contract extension with Manchester United worth £200,000 per week, reports the Mirror

The 27-year-old's contract is set to expire at the end of the season, with United holding an option to extend it one season more.

But the Spain international is nearing a long-term extension, with his time at Old Trafford set to continue well into the next decade.

Villa look to sign Ojo on loan


Aston Villa will turn their attention to Liverpool winger Sheyi Ojo, reports the Birmingham Mail. 

Villa were looking to sign Everton winger Yannick Bolasie, but the 29-year-old decided he wanted to stay in the Premier League.

The Championship side will now try to land Ojo, with Liverpool hoping to send the 21-year-old on loan to gain more experience.

That lack of progress has alerted Manchester United and Chelsea, who hope to move for the Wales international.

Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius is in talks to join Turkish club Besiktas, according to the Mirror.

With Alisson having arrived at Anfield, Jurgen Klopp is ready to allow Karius to leave the club in a loan move with an option to make the deal permanent. 

If Karius departs, Klopp will keep Simon Mignolet at the club as the backup to Alisson. 

Luis wants PSG move


Atletico Madrid left-back Filipe Luis has asked the club to let him join PSG in the summer, reports Marca

The 32-year-old's contract expires at the end of the season and he has a standing offer of a three-year deal with the Ligue 1 side. 

The Brazil international's benching his club's UEFA Super Cup win over Real Madrid was reportedly the last straw. 

Ndidi signs Leicester extension


Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has signed a two-year extension with the Foxes. 

The 21-year-old has been one of the club's top performers since joining in January 2017, reportedly earning interest from the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United.

But the Nigeria international has committed his long-term future to Leicester, penning an extension through 2024.
