Betis nearing loan deal for Rafinha


Barcelona are nearing an agreement with Real Betis over a loan move for Rafinha, Goal understands.

The Catalans wanted to include an obligation for Betis to purchase the 25-year-old, but the Seville club have successfully avoided that clause's inclusion in the deal.

Highly rated Tottenham attacking midfielder Marcus Edwards has joined Eredivisie side Excelsior on loan until the end of the season.

The 19-year-old has represented England at the U-16, U-17, U-18, U-19 and U-20 levels.

Leeds United have signed Chelsea midfielder Izzy Brown on loan.

The 21-year-old has struggled for game time at Stamford Bridge, and is set to continue his development in the Championship.

Lyon have Dembele bid rejected


Lyon have had an approach for Celtic forward Moussa Dembele rejected, according to Sky Sports.

Brendan Rodgers confirmed Thursday the Scottish Premiership champions had refused a bid from an unnamed club, unwilling to let Dembele leave.

Marseille and Borussia Dortmund have been in the mix for the striker, but it is Lyon that have seen their bid turned down.

Shaw won't rush into new Man Utd deal


The left-back wants to be seen as the long-term option at the position

Luke Shaw is not prepared to commit to a new deal at Manchester United, despite a strong start to the 2018-19 campaign, reports the Mirror.

Shaw has struggled under manager Jose Mourinho in previous years, but has been one of the few bright spots for the Red Devils thus far this season.

But the left-back wants to avoid a repeat of two years ago, where he started well but was eventually dropped, so that he can move on if that occurs again.

Markovic nears PAOK move


Liverpool winger Lazar Makovic is nearing a move to join to Greek side PAOK on loan, reports Sportime

Markovic, who has not played for the Reds since 2015, is said to be in advanced negotiations with the club with a deal likely to come to fruition. 

Pogba prefers Barca move over Real Madrid


The Manchester United midfielder would not want to move to Santiago Bernabeu

Paul Pogba has no interest in joining Real Madrid and instead wants to sign for Barcelona, according to Don Balon.

The Manchester United midfielder is keen to leave the club in January, and wants a move to Camp Nou, where he would be able to link up with Lionel Messi.

Barca have long been interested in Pogba, and he has no desire to snub them now.

Mariano takes Ronaldo’s No. 7 at Madrid


Mariano Diaz is set to succeed Cristiano Ronaldo and take the No.7 shirt at Real Madrid, Goal can reveal.

Real have agreed a €30 million (£27m/$35m) deal to sign the striker, who left the club just 12 months ago for Lyon for €8m.

The Belgium international is undergoing a medical with the Ligue 1 club, and the club are hopeful of securing his signature before the end of the European transfer window, which closes on Friday.

Marcos Llorente not interested in Leganes move


Marcos Llorente has no interest in moving to Leganes from Real Madrid, according to Mauricio Pellegrino.

Pellegrino is interested in signing the midfielder, but says he does not have any desire to leave Santiago Bernabeu.

Atletico Madrid have not received a bid for defender Filipe Luis, according to club president Enrique Cerezo.

Filipe Luis has been heavily linked with a potential move to PSG, but Cerezo told Cope that "no offer has arrived".

Mandzukic snubbed Dortmund


Mario Mandzukic rejected a move to Borussia Dortmund from Juventus this summer, per Sport Bild.

The Croatia international also snubbed a possible transfer to Manchester United, deciding, with the help of his advisors, to stay in Italy.

Arsenal to receive €500,000 Nelson fee


Arsenal will receive a loan fee of €500,000 from Hoffenheim for Reiss Nelson, per Kicker via Metro.

The 18-year-old moved to the German club on a short-term deal and Unai Emery's side have been compensated.

Rennes in N'Koudou talks


Rennes have opened talks with Tottenham over the potential loan signing of Georges Kevin N'Koudou from Tottenham, per Sky Sports.

N'Koudou has struggled for game time at Spurs and Mauricio Pochettino's side are willing to let him leave before the European transfer deadline on Friday.

Lyon are closing in on a deal for Celtic striker Moussa Dembele, reports the Daily Express.

The 22-year-old is understood to have accepted a contract offer from the Ligue 1 club, with the move set to be completed before the end of the European transfer window.

Ex-Chelsea striker Tore Andre Flo told Martin Odegaard to join Vitesse Arnhem.

The Real Madrid youngster has been tipped as one of the most promising players of his generation, but has struggled to make a breakthrough at Santiago Bernabeu.

Oblak will not renew Atletico contract


Jan Oblak has no intention of renewing his contract at Atletico Madrid, per AS.

Oblak feels that promises made before his last contract extension, signed in 2016, which raised his release clause from €45 million (£40m/$52m) to €100m (£89m/$117m), have not been kept by the Spanish club.

Chelsea and Liverpool both expressed an interest in signing Oblak in the summer, though no move came to fruition.

Chelsea snubbed Fekir deal


Chelsea were offered the chance to bid for Lyon attacker Nabil Fekir, but declined to do so.

The forward saw medical issues scupper a move to Liverpool, and the Blues had no interest in doing a deal of their own.

President Jean-Michel Aulas said: "We spoke with Chelsea representatives, and they had no interest at all in him."

PSG interested in Renato Sanches


PSG are interested in signing Bayern Munich midfielder Renato Sanches, according to Kicker via Get German Football News.

The midfielder endured a disappointing loan spell at Swansea City last summer, but the French giants admire his abilities and could attempt to take him to Paris.

Boro want Puncheon


Middlesbrough are eyeing a loan move for Crystal Palace midfielder Jason Puncheon, per Gazette Live.

Roy Hodgson is open to allowing the player to move on, and Boro manager Tony Pulis is a big admirer of the 32-year-old, with whom he previously worked at Selhurst Park.

Juan Bernat is nearing a move to PSG from Bayern, according to Sky Sports

The deal is said to be worth around €14 million (£13m/$16m). 

Wolfsburg to sign Cornet


Maxwel Cornet is set to join Wolfsburg from Lyon, Kicker claims. 

The 21-year-old has already been dropped from the Lyon squad and will join the Bundesliga side before the close of the window on Friday. 

Chadli wants late move away from West Brom


Nacer Chadli is looking for a last-minute move away from West Brom, with the European deadline looming on Friday, according to the Telegraph

Besiktas are among the clubs to have registered an interest in the Belgian, but West Brom do not want to let him leave on loan and only want to make a deal if a club is willing to buy the winger. 

Liverpool expect Origi departure


Markovic on the verge of exit as well

Liverpool are expecting both Divock Origi and Lazar Markovic to leave the club this summer, the Liverpool Echo reports. 

Besiktas are among a number of interested parties in for Origi after the Reds pulled out of talks with Borussia Dortmund. 

Belgian outfits Standard Liege and Anderlecht are both keen on making a loan move for Markovic.

Celtic star Moussa Dembele's agent is in Germany holding talks with Borussia Dortmund, according to le10sport.

Lyon and Marseille are both still in the running as well. 

PSV lands Mexico's Erick Gutierrez


Mexico midfielder Erick Gutierrez will join his international teammate and friend Hirving Lozano at PSV, the Dutch club announced Wednesday.

PSV has agreed to terms with both Liga MX club Pachuca and the player with Gutierrez set to join PSV on a five-year deal as long as he passes a medical.

PSG to make shock move for Choupo-Moting


Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting has emerged as a shock target for Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain, according to the Sun.

The forward joined Stoke just 12 months ago but the Potters are looking to offload his £60,000-a-week wages, with a switch to Paris now reportedly on the cards.

Choupo-Moting scored five goals in 30 Premier League games last season as Stoke dropped into the Championship.

Martial to sign new Man Utd deal


The French attacker now believes he will outlast Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford

Anthony Martial is set to sign a new five-year Manchester United deal, reports The Times.

The 22-year-old has been offered the new contract despite his public feuding with manager Jose Mourinho, which has led to reports he could be ready to leave Old Trafford. 

But Martial will now sign the deal, as he believes he will last longer at United than the increasingly under-pressure Mourinho. 

Promes nears €20m Sevilla switch


Sevilla are nearing the signing of Quincy Promes from Spartak Moscow for €20 million (£18m/$23m), claims AS

The Dutch winger scored 21 goals and added 10 assists in 38 appearances last season for the Russian side.

Promes, 26, has been capped 28 times by the Netherlands, scoring five goals.

RB Leipzig after Haidara and Adams


RB Leipzig are looking to sign Tyler Adams and Amadou Haidara in January, according to Bild.

Both players currently play for clubs under Red Bull ownership: Haidara with Red Bull Salzburg and Adams with the New York Red Bulls.

Haidara, 20, and Adams, 19, are both considered top central midfield prospects. 

Rafinha set to join Betis on loan


Barcelona striker Rafinha is set to join Real Betis on a one-year loan, reports Sport

The Blaugrana were hoping to include a mandatory purchase option at the end of the loan, but Betis were unwilling to pay the €20 million (£18m/$23m) Barca were asking. 

Instead, Betis will pay a loan fee and cover the 25-year-old's wages for the 2018-19 season. 

PSG meet with Lobotka representatives


PSG met with representatives of Celta Vigo midfielder Stanislav Lobotka on Wednesday, according to Goal France. 

The Ligue 1 champions are hoping to tie up a deal for the highly rated 23-year-old Slovakian before Friday's transfer deadline. 

Lobotka is rumoured to be available for around €30 million (£27m/$35m).
