Lebo Mothiba & Saif-Eddine Khaoui score in Strasbourg's draw vs. Caen

The South Africa and Tunisia internationals found the net for their respective teams as Fabien Mercadal’s men held the Racing

Lebo Mothiba and Saif-Eddine Khaoui scored in Strasbourg’s 2-2 draw with Caen in Sunday’s French Ligue 1 game at Stade de la Meinau.

Mothiba notched his eighth goal in his 14th appearance this season, although Thierry Laurey’s men continued their winless run.

Pablo Martinez got the curtain raiser five minutes into the encounter but Faycal Fajr got the leveller for Fabien Mercadal’s men. A minute later, however, the South Africa international restored the lead to his side.

With the game heading the way of the hosts, Khaoui denied them victory after scoring in the 80th minute.

The draw meant Strasbourg are in the eighth spot in the log with 23 points from 17 games while Caen are in the 18th position with 14 points from the same numbers of matches.

Strasbourg play host to Toulouse while Caen lock horns with Reims on Saturday, December 15.
