Kenyan Premier League side Sofapaka FC is expected to announce new signings within the week.

The 2009 league champions have however, been silent on the players they are chasing, opting to conduct their business silently. Batoto ba Mungu President Elly Kalekwa has revealed the reason behind the move.

“We are going for quality players, others are still contracted to their clubs and we are avoiding breach of contract. It is good to follow the right procedures to ensure we do not destabilize involved teams.

“Also some players are out of contract and are still good, quality ones for that matter, if we mention them our competitors might come with better deals and snatch them. As I had said earlier we are going for players whose ambitions much ours, we want to win.”

Sofapaka are currently training under new coach Melis Medo.
